Get used to this for like the next 9-12 months at minimum lol
Like you said hearing that cry is one of the best feelings in the world.
And remember nobody knows what they're doing in the beginning. You're winging it, and that's fine. Your baby just cares about food, shelter, sleep. Everything else will take care of itself one way or another, so don't be too hard on yourself during the journey.

I woke up at 10am on Thursday and haven’t slept since. Every time I lay down, it’s like she knows. I was just turning the TV off after the Nuggets embarrassed the Suns and then my wife’s water breaks.
She ain’t cry all day, all the nurses saying how she’s so quiet compared to the other babies. But its 3am and she wants to cry now

Don’t worry it doesn’t change as they get older, the method shifts. My 7 year old son come busting in the room at 730am on a Sat morning talking about learning Spanish

My daughter will sleep all day, it’s a 30 minute endeavor to wake her up for feeding. After 10pm? She wakes up every 30 minutes

Yesterday my son threw up twice at school. Wife had to go get him in a Uber due to 1/2 cars being away for maintenance checkup, and me at work. Threw up in the Uber (in his backpack). A few hours later threw up again by the bathoom but didn't make it to the toilet.

My five year old just had that, or something similar but it started at 11PM at night so only my sleep was affected. Poor dude throwing up in an Uber ….
