I mean Rivers had a better season than Brady, and could be argued that Smith played as well as.. last season. But yeah the drop off is fairly steep.. But also the QB position is changing. The pocket passer is a dying breed like the SG who can actually shoot...
I think the position is starting to become a more mobile QB era... Players like Wilson, Cam, Luck, Kap are becoming more common.. I remember when Randell, Vick, Slash were wacky abominations..
