I'm still doing research and processing the picks, should be done Saturday. But they really didn't address the O-Line outside of Richburg, and they were willing to reach on guys and take other less-talented players because they were a) team captains on their team b) fine upstanding citizens. If the Giants don't get at least 2 more OL in the next 4 rounds, I'm pissed.what did you think about our draft in the end tbh
i like some of the players but man
just a weird hollow feeling about it
this is such a weird draft
datparity, and yet two teams listed twice
Ain't that some shit.
dat giants dominance, truly a dynasty
Steelers didn't make the playoffs twice..
with jimmy smith being arrested, that makes it five arrests for the ravebs in one offseason
1/10 of the team been arrested

I remember wanting Jimmy Smith in the draft, and instead the Seahawks waited to grab some dude named Richard Sherman in the 5th round.
Chris Snee will retire from the NFL (WFAN, July 21).I'll miss him. For a short time he played like one of the best linemen in the league before injuries limited him.
“I know it’s my time,” Snee said in a release.
The veteran guard met with the Giants on Monday morning to discuss his future (Star-Ledger July 20th).
“Before OTAs started I was confident,” Snee said. “I was moving around great and I was strong enough where I felt that I could play and compete. But then once OTAs came around, I had to punch and stop somebody … obviously, we’re not wearing pads. I wasn’t able to do it. Quite frankly, it hurt. But I thought maybe it was my joint getting used to that again. But the more I tried to do it, it became a concern to me that it wasn’t responding the way it should and actually my (elbow) strength had started to go down in the weight room.
The two-time Super Bowl champ missed mini-camp in June and the elbow hasn’t progressed as he and the team have hoped.
“Chris is a pro’s pro,” general manager Jerry Reese said. “He played the game right. He was as tough and prideful as they come. We will miss him.”
The 32-year-old missed 13 games during the 2013 season and has had surgery on both hips over the last two years. Snee was one of the most durable Giants on the offensive line over the years and started all but one game from 2005-2012.
yeah, rip. when he was healthy and could put it together he was a real contributor, just sad how often that didnt happen :(
So Ray Rice got a 2 game suspension from the NFL and everyone is up in arms.
People do know he basically wasn't charged with anything in real life, right? The 2 games I think is the most the NFL could do to him.

why do you say that?
I'm not familiar with what precedence there is for this kind of situation
why do you say that?I believe there's a process in the CBA where if the legal system doesn't do anything/he wasn't charged, you can't throw the book at him. I'll have to double-check this though.

Yeah, I feel the same way. Why would the NFL blow him up when the US legal system did not.
Then again, our Department of Justice is peculiar. Never know if you're going to go to prison for life for smoking dope or go free like Zimmerman.

I don't understand the media saying Bennett "body slammed" or "powerbombed" Fuller. He threw him down the same way Fuller did...by grabbing (what seems like) the facemask. There was nothing impressive about it.

Pre-season isn't real football.
Says you. The injury report says different.

Don't get upset yet. It's a test-run. They already do stuff like this on basketball courts.
No, they don't.Pre-season isn't real football.

They do not display, digitally imprinted by the broadcaster, ad's onto basketball courts.
It looks horrendous.
watching our game against the vike's live, I was pissed. after watching a replay, I saw a lot of positives. penalties hurt us the most. starting corners are weak as fuck too, backups look better.

the constant whoring out of uniforms is despicable tho never accepted that. literally ruins them completely, would never live with myself buying a shitty whored out epl or nrl or something jersey
clean unadorned american unis for live, fuck silver
Niners new stadium is really, really sunny. Kaepernick still misses open throws.
He's better than Alex Smith which is all I could ask for. We enjoyed Steve Young and Montanna and even Jeff Garcia when he was good. I don't have high expectations for anyone surpassing those guys for an entire career.
Yo, I normally don't pay attention to the preseason but ppl at work been giving me flack about the 49ers sucking it up. After three straight seasons of dominance, it was about time that the injury bug would catch us. I ain't mad. As long as we don't return to the post-Mooch (who should have never been fired), Dennis Erickson/Mike Nolan era.

The day we see that on an premier league field, we can compare. Football overseas has nothing as bad as that toyota redzone shit.
fucking preseason. making teams that shouldnt have a chance feel like they have a chance during the regular season, and making champs look like clowns. Hate it. i need the season to start
And I need Clowney to wreck Luck's shit.

Sam Bradford already out for the season.
Poor guy. Was nice to see a prominent Native American in the NFL.

You weren't beating that Seattle defense from last year unless you had a mobile quarterback. Maybe that changes this year, but Kaep brings an element to the table that few teams have at this point.
Maybe that's not the case this year, maybe Seattles defense worsens for whatever reason, but that team from last year...you can't just stand in the pocket and make throws. You have to present the threat of moving the chains yourself as a quarterback to consistently attack them.
Love Kaeps game personally. His ability to get down matched with his speed is extremely valuable. He'll miss throws, but for everytime he does that he'll make up for it with a scramble and constantly have defenses having to focus on the threat of him running which frees up somebody else.

If they can't and have to rely on Kaep to make plays with his arm, they're in trouble.

Not necessarily. Look at Greenbay vs the Niners in the playoffs last year. Gore was pedestrian and averaged 3.3 a carry on 20 carries for 66 yards.
Despite the ineffectiveness of the traditional running game, Kaep poured in 98 rushing yards. Passing was pedestrian at 16/30 for 1 int and 1 touchdown.
And it happened again against the Seahawks.
14 carries for 30 yards between Gore and Hunter. Kaep? 11 carries for 130.
Yea, he threw the bad pass at the end, but again, no other quarterback is even in the position for a game winning drive without being able to move the chains by himself as often as Kaep did.

Seahawks is a bit skewed since in that game, they actually were daring him to pass early on with their defensive scheming and then in the 2nd half (for some reason) they started playing him more straight up with no spying, trying to crash on Gore with 8 in the box.

Look at SF this preseason. Running game has done nothing and Kaep has been getting hammered.
so basically ignore playoff games which mean everything in favor of preseason games that are meaningless
:ugeek:

so basically ignore playoff games which mean everything in favor of preseason games that are meaninglessRight, because 3 pre-season games where the 1st team O has looked like crap mean nothing next to 1 game last year vs. the worst D and the league and another where the Seahawks keyed in on stopping Gore. Never mind the personnel difference...

The sarcasm in this conversation is too thick for conventional minds to comprehend.
Eli Manning has looked almost as bad as RGIII this preseason, my god. Is any QB in the NFC East going to have a great year?

You are giving Eli to much credit with that
He has looked horrible in every sense of the word

Eli is probably the most bizarre two-time NFL champ QB in the history of the NFL. He's hella awkward. Just won the friggin genetic lottery of being born the baby in a family of natural athletes. Sometimes, he just looks bored out there because he's so good (relative to everyone else who can't play QB in the NFL which is hella hard).
He has looked horrible in every sense of the wordThe new GB offense he's learning is very different than how he usually operates, but on paper is geared to his strengths. However it requires a good TE, something the Giants don't have. I feel he'll be ok, but the days of Superbowl Eli are gone.

 do I know you from another forum? We used to call Eli a goober all the time, even after the SB wins.
So we don't have Bowman or Aldon Smith for at least half the season. Kaep better be as good as Jaws said he could be, or we're toast. Gore is old, consistent but not explosive. And Vernon Davis wants to jet as soon as he can. SIGH.
