By Daz Go To PostIts not bad at all.I never played much of the Witcher games (and, even then, only a few hours of the first one), and I still thought the first season of the show was bad. I did, however, watch the entire season, because I have no respect for my time.
Divorce yourself from the games and you'll have a good time.
Witcher will get at least 4 seasons. Cavill is massive nerd he will be down for it. Probably one of his dream jobs and it does well for Netflix.
He also mentioned that he was interested in doing that Mass Effect Amazon show, I doubt the people behind the show would say no to that if it was possible in terms of finances and schedule.

There is a lot of talk of him wanting out lol
But who knows. I just cant imagine him staying loyal to this series if a better chance comes along.

They said they want to do 7 but they ain't tying Cavill down for that many.

Idk quite what it meant (maybe he was just taking the piss) but there is a picture of him reading a script which some clever cunt managed to deblur and found it had details from ME.
Season 2 of Witcher is pretty good I thought, and dare I, ne I shall, say it better than GOT.
Msg > Witcher S2 > GOT

By DiPro Go To Postusually netflix series feel stretched when they have 10 episodes.
Only really felt that with the Marvel ones(which I think were longer).
I feel with the Witcher they jump around too much. Best episode was episode 1 and that was all in the one setting. A couple more monster if the week type of episodes would have made the season great.
Yeah, give me some more Witcher doing Witchery stuff.
Banging whores, playing Gwent and slaying drowners for mats.
Still loved season 2

Netflix has like 400 episodes of Ertegrul and all the central and Eastern Euro girls I know are proper deep into it lol
I really enjoyed the first 5 episodes of Witcher S2. Was a major step up from S1 in every aspect. Best thing about it was the development of Geralt and Ciris father/daughter relationship. Did well explaining why Ciri was so important too.
Final three episodes were disappointing, I think. I had very little interest in the Elves and Nilfgaardian alliance subplot. Final episode itself was a let down too. Was hoping for something more than a standard big boss fight.

Have to say having re-watched S1 recently they did not set up the importance of the whole monolith thing which was weird given it was a season dedicated to setting shit up.
Having got over how bad the second ep was (what the FUCK mens) I watched 3 and 4 back to back today and enjoyed them both quite a lot.
Part of how much I enjoyed ep3 might have been Yennefer walking around with her dress barely covering her nipples for some reason (seriously lmao, what the fuck??) but still, good episode.
Can't work out if Jaskier's actor is horrible or if the writing for him is just notably worse than the other characters. But then I think a large part of it is down to him trying to hide his Geordie accent. A bit like how that lad from Sons of Anarchy/The Gentlemen can be alright or absolutely fucking shit depending on how much he has to deviate from his natural accent.

I enjoyed S1 of The Witcher a lot more than I’m enjoying S2. I get the criticism of the three time lines in S1, but it felt a lot more faithful to the books than some of the choices in S2. Eskel got done so dirty, in casting and in story.
Edit: Finished off S2. Definitely put the first season above the second. S2 does do some things well. It’s a more straightforward story, it introduced some good side characters, definitely improved on the CGI and overall cinematography.
Just strays too far from the books with too many core characters for my liking. I’ll still watch future series though.

Netflix's Daredevil is so much better than anything Disney/Marvel has put out, its crazy
On episode 3 and everything from the script, acting, cinematography is like 10 levels ahead. Not to mention the fighting scenes, how they manage to build up the stakes in such a "human-like" scenario, something Hawkeye totally failed at
