By Smokey Go To Posti get the sense that it's a slow burner. think im on episode 5 or 6 of s1Oh, one of the slowest. It's written by a long-time Sopranos writer.

Can you tell me if there's some kind of payoff at the end
or
the series ending isn't on some LOST shit is it?
LOST is like on the absolute other end of the spectrum to Mad Men. Mad Men is a character study through and through, so if you enjoy those types of shows (again, Sopranos is the great analog here) then you'll find plenty of payoff.
By p s y Go To PostI couldn't get into Mad Men. Gave up after 2 seasons.same...
Could never get into Mad Men. Not interest in the characters. Jon Hamm sucks at acting and makes stupid faces all the time.
3% is really good if you like sci fi, its kind of like a black mirror episode stretched out into a series.

I thought the ending was brilliant
oh my fucking god i think season 11 is the best season of sunny next. I'm fucking dying trying to make it through this last episode. Dee's obama impression just took my soul
By diehard Go To PostThe episode where they move to the suburbs is fantasticyep.
By Moris Go To Postnew season just started and it's still good.I have an Uverse login so I can finally keep up. Just a day later.
The Gang turns black was great.
The later seasons on Sunny is definitely Curb Your Enthusiasm level stuff. Show keeps getting better, I hope they continue as long as they can.
edit: looks like they're good through season 14 so far :D
By blackace Go To PostWish we were getting Rick and Morty in real time
Rick & Morty my shit, love that show.
Going to watch Trollhunter this weekend and probably finish Black Mirror.
Patrick Warburton was an excellent choice for Lemony Snicket. He does such a great job as the narrator.
The whole cast is good and the show has that same style that the movie and Pushing Daisies (also produced and directed by Barry Sonnenfeld) had.

I loved the books as a kid but the first episode didn't hook me yet. Seems to be going for Grand Budapest Hotel vibe which is amazing but it seems like a budget version of it so far.
Does Netflix ever stop being awesome? Even for a second?http://bloody-disgusting.com/news/3423971/violent-castlevania-tv-series-headed-netflix-year/
In a press release sent out today, Netflix revealed that “Castlevania” – Season 1, Part 1 is headed to the streaming service this year. You may remember that producer Adi Shankar (Dredd) recently teased that he was working on an animated adaptation of “one of the most world-famous video games of the last 30 years“; as we suspected, he was referring to Castlevania.
From Netflix’s press site…
Inspired by the classic video game series, “Castlevania” is a dark medieval fantasy following the last surviving member of the disgraced Belmont clan, trying to save Eastern Europe from extinction at the hand of Vlad Dracula Tepe himself. The animated series is from Frederator Studios, a Wow! Unlimited Media company, written by best-selling author and comic book icon Warren Ellis and executive produced by Warren Ellis, Kevin Kolde, Fred Seibert, and Adi Shankar.
According to things Shankar has said in the recent past about the project, the animated series will be “super violent,” and is set to “flip the vampire sub-genre on its head.”
Yes please. To all of that.
That's great. I really like Adi Shankar, his bootleg shorts about the Punisher, Venom and the Power Rangers are fun.
I swear ive tried 10 times to finish episode one of stranger things.
Also ive realized that there are plenty of really bad netflix originals.
Do people really want garbage network tier sitcoms on netflix? That Ashton Kutcher show looks awful.

Besides the incredible number of original shows and movies shown this week, Netflix has announced that, starting this week, they will release a new stand up special every week until the end of the year.
Those specials include next week's Leather Special by Amy Schumer, 2 specials by Chris Rock and 3 by Dave Chappelle.

Stranger Things was amazing, what do you not like about it? I ended up binge watching it by accident.
Oh yeah, I ended up watching like 4 or 5 episode. It's good, I'm not as in love with the 80s vibe as everybody else on the internet so it didn't really grab me until episode 2 or 3. I'll finish it eventually, just don't really have the urge to find out what happens next or anything.
I am an 80s kid so it clicked instantly... the wife and I immediately watched Goonies when we finished it
Daredevil is the legitimately only good Marvel property on Netflix. Neither of Jessica Jones nor Luke Cage are that good.
By reilo Go To PostDaredevil is the legitimately only good Marvel property on Netflix. Neither of Jessica Jones nor Luke Cage are that good.Cage was better than Daredevil tho...
Cage was saved by Ali but the actor playing Cage is kinda awful and uninteresting. The world building in Daredevil is a lot better as well.
By blackace Go To PostCage was better than Daredevil tho…
Nah. Once Cottonmouth dies the show is horrible. The dude playing Cage is one of the worst actors I have ever seen in a big budget show. He should give marvel back their money for the fleecing he pulled off

Charlie Cox, Vincent D'Onofrio, John Bernthal, Rosario Dawson and Vondie Curtis-Hall are all better actors sans Ali by a country mile compared to the Luke Cage cast. None of those put on a bad acting performance in Daredevil, so not sure how we arrived at this argument.
Netflix have picked up The Other Side Of Wind, Orson Welles final and uncompleted project.
The project went to Indiegogo a while ago but they failed to gather the 2M$ they wanted to finish the restoration and score the movie.

Just stumbled into a couple of good reviews for this. Man, Netflix has new original stuff coming out every week. It's insane.
