What are the best shows, movies and docs on this thing?
Orange Is the New Black is really entertaining and is an instant recommendation.
Also is there any way to browse the entire catalog by genre instead of what they show on the front page. Navigation is really poor on this thing.

now you can watch netflix stuff that isn't available in your region.
e.g. the northern european countries have the Lego Movie on netflix while the US does not.

also, if you haven't watched dexter yet you might want to get on that (just never watch the least season ever)
Lol watched the first 4 seasons of Dexter...
I have never seen a show drop in quality so fast.in a perfect world it would have been a one season mini series.

Stop at the end of Season 4, imo. John Lithgow made that season worthwhile. Everything after that is trash. It most definitely peaked during Season 2.
My favorite documentaries on there are Man on Wire, Exit from the Gift Shop, Two Escobars, and Senna.
The Man from Nowhere is really good Korean film.
Navigation and discovery on Netflix is awful.

I marathoned Marc Maron's show "Maron" for no real reason.
1st season is meh, but for whatever reason I still watched them all. The 2nd season is pretty good though, it felt like they found their groove and some of his friends were added as recurring characters who more often than not add to the show.
It's like a less interesting/funny version of Louie. In the same way that Louie represents Louie CK's sense of humor and personality, Maron does the same....it's just Marc Maron seems to be less funny/interesting than Louie is.

The Interview released on Netflix today.
Its not too terrible actually.
the finger biting bit was so stupid lol

I love Maron (the person), i watched the first episode twice a year apart, i really like it but i don't think i can watch him act. it feels wrong.
the first episode made me think that it is, exactly what you said it is.

I pay $5 a month for a DNS router that let's me pick my region, and also since Netflix isn't available here until March/April. Also means I can use it for Netflix on PS3, Xbox, IPad etc.
Maybe you should skip the first season if you ever try again. You won't miss a whole lot, and the storylines/dialogue feels much more like Marc, the first ep is very Marc in a self destructive/playing the victim/self pity type way
So I'm catching up on the last few seasons of It's Always Sunny and I'm on the Lethal Weapon episode.....
I was not expecting so much man ass

By Zeus Ex MachinaJust watched I saw the Devil….. Wow. I am almost as disturbed as when I saw old boy
Find a Korean movie called "The Chaser".
By psychintellectJust watched the first episode of Black Mirror…….Oink oink.
Keep going.
The second episode is probably the best, but they're all good.
By diprosalicsecond episode is the worst but still decent. Are your opinions always this wrong?
My least favorite was the Waldo episode. It was good at parts but it wasn't terribly impactful or profound.
White Bear was a great concept and it was well done, but jesus the main actress's crying and heavy breathing the whole episode got tiresome. I suppose part of the point was to convey how distressed she was, but it affected my enjoyment of the episode.
I really like the premise but yeah, that second episode was pretty boring. Especially compared to te first.

Let me know what you think of the rest.
Regardless of how you feel about each episode, I'm just glad that a show like this exists.
I didn't really list the 30 for 30 ones I really liked (and are available on Netflix) so here goes:
Broke
Without Bias
The U
No Crossover: The Trial of Allen Iverson
The Two Escobars
Once Brothers
The Announcement
Bad Boys
Playing for the Mob
The Day The Series Stopped
When The Garden Was Eden
Some available docs I haven't watched yet but these I definitely recommend.

By MorisI only liked the first one and The Entire History of YouThat one's great.
As I said earlier, the concept of White Bear was excellent, but I wasn't a fan of the actress who played the main character.
If the documentary "Is The Man That Is Tall Happy?" is on netflix watch it. Michel Gondry had a couple of conversations with Noam Chomsky and animated them. It's really cool. Nothing deep but there is some interesting stuff said. I believe it actually works as an example of how an artist and a scientist approach and question the world differently.
There's a scene that's truly heartbreaking involving the passing of Noam's wife. Gondry handles it very gently, sweet, and more importantly tactful.

i have to say that i only watched the first three so far.
i'm a big charlie brooker fan anyway. his 2014 wipe was awesome.
So episode 3 of Black Mirror is definitely better than episode 2.
But I'm still not over how great episode 1 was. It'll stick with me for a while.
Loving the whole format of the show though. Like Gondo said, I'm glad it exists.

told you. 2 is the weakest of the first 3.

All of the first 3 are quite strong IMO. Didn't like series 2 as much.
So Into The Abyss was alright. Some weird questions by the director at times. That interview with Burkett's father was probably the high/low point though. Really rough and raw.
Also watching the first season of Louie. Really enjoying it. Glad I'm getting to watch it finally after hearing so many good things.

the most recent season of Louie is so goddamn good. it's barely a comedy anymore, but damn.
his youngest kid is a freakin' genius.

The club scene in the first season of Louie when he goes and hangs with the black comics was fucking great lmao

I'm on the second season of Louie..... I've noticed that there have been more than a couple of episodes that aren't funny, but still entertaining and interesting in their own right. I really like that those episodes are there and it makes me wonder, is it really a comedy or what genre would I place this in because you know, there are really funny episodes and bits but I dunno. I'm just surprised. I was sort of expecting a sort of Curb Your Enthusiasm type of program.

By psychintellectBlue Ruin was great. Has some super intense scenes. Instant recc
It's good, I said 'damn, white people crazy' like 4 times.

Started getting further into Peep Show.
Wow. It's hilarious but I find myself literally covering my face from the awkardness at times.

i'm anxiously awaiting a 9th peep show series.
they said they would do one more, hopefully they will.

By Zeus Ex MachinaI been watching the IT crowd and I love it. I wish America could come up with a sitcom as good.I love The IT Crowd but there are some great American sitcoms as well.
Nothing quite in that cartoonish style though. Malcolm In the Middle is probably the closest (which is a great show if you haven't watched it).
