I can't stop listening to MIA right now. Randomly listened to Paper Planes a few weeks ago and realized I had never heard anything else from her and downloaded some albums. Most of the lyrics are nonsense but her voice combined with the beats are hypnotizing
On phone so no link, but listening to some O.A.R. before going to bed tonight. They are a great jam band and feature their sax and bass players fairly often.
RIP to Kevin Garcia of Grandaddy. Only 41.
They were a big part of my personal rotation through college. Sumday and The Sophtware Slump still hold up as great albums.

Great. Now I'll never be happy until we get a full album from Lorde and Chromeo.

Going to see The Dillinger Escape Plan on Friday. Listening to them now for the first time. It's...interesting. Different from what I normally listen to.

If you never listened before, I would say start with Ire Works. Probably the most accessible. You can also just be a mad man and start with Calculating Infinity though, which is their first and extremely inaccessible. They do have some rather poppy stuff though
But for every song like that, there's 5 of these
Going in two weeks. What a time to be alive. Then twice again in August. Their last show before leaving to Europe looked amazing
What a time to be alive.
Dillinger was pretty fun. Went up near the front. Got kicked in the face. He jumped off the balcony.
Ït's so weird remembering that Metallica were actually pretty good at some point.
Anyway Copenhell starts in 4 days, I'm kind of excited. Never seen Architects before, and now I finally get the chance. Sadly one of their guitarists and primary song writers died last year, shortly after finishing their latest album, after a 3 year struggle with cancer (that the public did not know about, they kept touring through it). Their last albums death theme is pretty haunting when looking back at it now, after realizing what/ why it had such a heavy theme of losing faith and dying.

Not feeling the new Haim at all. I really liked the last one but this just feels like more of the same.
It is a great album cover
