Been listening a ton to J. Cole recently and the guy is brilliant, took me a while to start listening to him.
Any recommendations for modern rap/hip hop like this?
My knowledge in this genre is pretty weak, only semi related things I listen to are Kendrick, Travis Scott and Run The Jewels.
Discovered Steve Reich from this short film, really like his stuff
Denzel Curry
Joey Badass,
By LFMartins86 Go To PostYou already mentioned Kendrick so as far modern 'conscious' rappers that aren't super underground there's Vince Staples, Summertime 06 is pretty great.

That time of the year already? Shit
edit: nope, how does spotify make this shit worse every year? I just want a top artsits/albums/songs list that's shareable.

This didn't hurt until the very very end
You're stuck in the early 2010s. For you, music's been all downhill since Yoga Music made Pachelbel Canon in D.
By LuminaryGhost Go To PostI’ve been listening to Phoebe Bridger’s Punisher a lot lately, love it.

Whatever the armed is doing next, it had a pretty fucking amazing start with these two songs. Just cant stop listening to them

I thought that Dead Mountain Mouth was the last album they put out, only to find out they had another in 2008 and now this next one. Good stuff. Deffo seems like they chilled a little on the noise elements of their instruments and vocals.
