Need a new phone, what ya'll got?

I have a Nexus 5 and I really love it, but it is over a year old and out of print these days with the Nexus 6 in.

If I was buying a new phone today, I'd go with a Moto X, Xperia Z3 or an LG G3. If you're looking for a quality phone you can get sub-$200 off contract, the Moto G is pretty ace.

(I've never owned an iPhone and I hated my Samsung phone. Never again.)

I'm on my second samsung phone. went from an S3 to an S5.

The S5 is a solid iteration. Waterproof is nice. Not being able to use a dock is not nice.

If you are set on Android or whatever, get a phone with the vanilla Android OS. The shit that Samsung, Motorola, etc modifies and puts out is horrendous.

The Moto X and G are pretty close to stock these days. Well, minus like active display.

For pure Google, the Nexus 5 was really the best Nexus line phone, but god damn, the 6 is just too big.

I've got the G3. Great screen. Super fast. Nice camera. Great screen. Good battery.

I've got the 32 GB 3gb RAM model.

Love my iPhone 6. No complaints about it at all.

T-Mobile is also running some nice promotions right now, including paying your ETFs, unlimited data and some pretty good value for trade-ins.

I have an HTC One. Probably out of your price range but its absolutely amazing. Durable as fuck too.

My 2013 Moto X is great. From what I've seen, the new one and the Nexus 6 are pretty much bigger and better versions of it.

LG G3 but i would trade it against a Xperia Compact Z3 anytime.

Wait until March 1st then consider an HTC M9 on contract. It shouldn't cost more than $200. In theory it's possible to convert it to a GPE and run stock Android. If a contract isn't for you then buy an LG G3, HTC M8, or OnePlus One. OnePlus One is probably your best bet off contract....

I'm getting a Moto G 2014 next week. I wanted the closest thing to stock Android, and the Nexus 5 was out of my budget. Otherwise, I would have purchased the Nexus 5.

I'm looking at the M9, G4, Z4C. Keep in mind my criteria is my criteria, no offense to anyone else.

My criteria for Android flagship smartphone:

Has to be a flagship because OEMS give less than fuck about updating old hardware.
Lollipop is a requirement.
Need an IR blaster after owning an LG G3 because it's useful as shit.
S810 because I'll be damned if I pay $500+ for a S801. Matter of fact anything less 64-bit SOC is uncivilized.
Lack of peasant resolution. Apple can get away with 720/750p. Everyone else needs FHD on the low end and QHD on the high end. 'FUCK OUTTA HERE with your 750p resolution. My eyes abhor 720p resolution on a phone.
I need at least 3 GB of RAM because this phone has to last at least three years.
Stock android or close to it (i.e. the Motorola)
No flaps at all. Who the fuck wants a condom on their phone?
LCD with accurate color reproduction. Keep your SAMOLED piece of junk with burn in issues.
Speaking of color reproduction, best believe that color matrix better be accurate. I need accurate whites because it's frustrating to see inaccurate colors.
Contrast ratio better be 1000:1. None of this 700:1 inaccurate lazy shit.
Brightness better not be below 500 nits. FOH with sub 490 nits you cheap bastards.
Minimum 2820 Mah optimized battery and best believe I'm going over those tests. Keep your 2600 Mah unoptimized peasant shit for the Moto E.
Less than 8.5 mm of thickness. My pockets refuse to carry a damn brick. Keep your fucking 9.2 mm flagship in the factory.
Need at least a 12 MP camera with F/2.2
Expandable storage is a requirement.
Minimum 32 GB with a maximum 128 GB on board storage.
Packing better be nice as well. None of this unAmerican envelope shit OPO did at first.
Finally, it has to be below 5.3 inches. The LG G3 was perfect but felt like a damn brick.
