Who is the greatest Olympian ever?
State your athlete first and then feel free to give a reason or not.
Debate is welcome as long as it doesn't involve supporting Phelps ;p
You have until the end of the closing ceremony to cast your vote.

Usain Bolt
He competes in a sport that anyone can compete in and just absolutely dominates it. He just seems so far ahead of everyone else.

MJ might be my favourite olympian. Even when Bolt beat his records he was happy for Bolt and never came across like a retired athlete who had a grudge.
Wonder how much culture and marketing has an effect on this
Bolt is fucking huge in the UK whether the Olympics are near or not, whereas its as though Phelps ceases to exist between his wins
Personally Bolt of the Olympians I've seen, I feel that sprinting is the purest form of athleticism. Shame he supports Man Utd though.

I'd say Biles will be up there soon, she has a move named after her. She just set the bar for gymnastics even higher than before.
