Posting the Draxler interview for the new page.
He came in August 2015 for 36m € from Schalke to Wolfsburg. Now it already pulls Julian Draxler away.
The I-want-to-leave-Interview in Bild
BILD: The extended holiday is over. Are you over the disappointing EURO semi-final loss ?
Julian Draxler: "The tourney is checked off for me. For me personally it went pretty well, but it's obviously sad that we lost during the semi-final. We don't have to blame ourselves to much though."
BILD: Manager Klaus Allofs (not the coach. In germany we use the term "manager" in footy for the executives like Marotta,Woodward and Watzke) and coach Dieter Hecking publicy announced that you will stay at Wolfsburg. Will you be able to achieve the return to international football ?
Draxler : "Bevor they determine something in public, they should have spoken with me. Because for me personally, I clearly communicated to our coach Dieter Hecking, that I want to leave Wolfsburg. The coach knows about it for 3 weeks now. It's suprising me greatly, that for weeks my persona is only part of the media. I expected something else, for example that someone comes to me and ask's "How about you?". "
BILD: Have you had no contact to Klaus Allofs since the EUROs ?
Draxler : "We only had contact via SMS. I've only spoken to the coach Hecking. Two days after the semi-final loss, I told him how I see the situation and what my personal wish is, which is leaving the club. Now I'm back in Germany and the only form of communication is via the press, instead of talking directly to me. Now I want to say something about it."
BILD: What exactly do you mean ?
Draxler: "Coach Hecking said in an interview that players and their agents have to much power. Naturally my agent Roger Wittmann represents my interest. Still, I'll handle decisions on my own. Besides, Roger Wittmann was a major influence that I came to Wolfsburg last year."
BILD: Why should Wolfsburg let you go ? You still got a contract until 2020...
Draxler: "We had an verbal agreement during my transfer in August 2015, that I can leave the club, if the opportunity comes up. Both from Hecking and Allofs. It was clear, that Wolfsburg had a good perspective, but was also just supposed to be a springboard/steppingstone (no idea which translation would be appropiate). It was always clear between all parties, that I want to go to an european top club, if the opportunity arises. It was discussed that we would come together and have a reasonable discussion, when other clubs are showing interest."
Verbal agreements.
Both parties only communicating via press. What a disaster of a club.

Thanks, Penny-chan.
Oh wow. It's an all-out thing. I thought it was just something he mentioned in passing, like 'I might leave, not sure', and the media run with it, but no, lol.
Absolutely sensational turn of events.

By Yurt Go To PostThanks Penny lad, will read that at work……in 2 hours :lolYou mean Draxler? Or Gabigol?
@Zabogol. I'll take him over Zaza.
A Zaza - Draxler swap would be quite something, wouldn't it.
But we know this kind of deals never happens. If he's that adamant about leaving, I'm sure he has a buyer lined up already.
Probably Arsenal.
By Zabojnik Go To PostYou mean Draxler?Draxler, Gabi...AIDS...anything over Zaza.

It's freaking hilarious. I mean it's shitty from both sides.
However, this isn't the first player that is complaining and was on the verge of leaving. Luiz Gustavo and Rodriguez could follow.
Still can't believe that a player believes in a fucking verbal agreement in 2016.Absolutely amazing.
Either it's part of your contract or not, but don't be so fucking naive and not include it in your contract.
By n8 the gr8 Go To PostI was trolling in it earlier. Too many people fell for it.It's so easy, innit.
Pls dont fucking go for Draxler Arsene.
I can see it happening. He already talked about him a lot of times over the years when asked about young talents.

By FlutterPuffs Go To PostI'm tired of Football Manager, any games that's similar, ones I can play while relaxing?Look into Paradox Interactive's stuff - Crusader Kings, Europa Universalis, Stellaris, etc.
By Bold 2 in One Go To PostI hate this fucking image. People aren't shouting their distaste for, in this case, superhero movies to the heavens; they're directing it at everyone around here who won't shut the fuck up about it in the football thread.
While they might not give a shit about what you're discussing, that doesn't entail that they don't give a shit that you don't give a shit that they don't give a shit. Innit.
This thread is great for pointless banter, useless asides, and meaningless tangents, but when something becomes so mechanically consistent that you just know it will always be a significant part of the discussion every single day, perhaps it can find its way to another thread. The rest of Slaent exists for a reason.

Well it is pre-season and there really isn't that much football happening right now, and its slightly disingenuous to say this is a football thread and single out superhero films for this, it happens with most topics, this may be a football thread but its also a repository for the likes and interests of its communities.
People should be free to talk about whatever they want, you don't have to always be into it, I'm not into FM, or Mad Men or whatever TV show is in vogue right now (I have certainly had to spend the last few days getting a beat by beat layout of 'The Night of' and 'Stranger Things') not going to kick up a fuss about it or tell people Television shows are shit and that I don't care.
The discussion about superheroes began because the reviews for a major film had just come out, so its only natural that even for a few hours that would be the 'it' topic. Honest to God, I would rather that than more Pogba bullshit non-news. And I notice that certain personalities here are louder than others and consciously or subconsciously try to impose their will on the flow of discussion, I'm not having any of it, the freedom to discuss and engage on a number of topics large and small was part of the reason many that are here left gaf.
So if you like thing, cool, jabber away about Pokemon and animu till you're spent, if you don't like thing, also cool, talk about something you like, but if you feel the topic at hand chaffing your hide and damaging your cool, then put the perpetrators on ignore.

By rvy Go To PostI thought batting in The Show 16 was easy.I played about 3 editions in a row and could never hit at all. My be a pro mode was always as a pitcher so I could actually focus on something I could do effectively.

the hate for Shanks and his legit Italian passport is getting outta hand
Anyway cartoon_soldier is a pretty nice guy, so at least just call me a muppet without using his name. He was just trying to make friends here anyway.
Flabberinho, it's increasingly difficult to stick to football during this awful period of nonfootball. At least football is back next week eh
Giudain just posted his first Juve tweet ever (well actually his first ever was complaining about a shirt tug 🙈) and tell you what....we fixed his hair! Must be a fortunate side effect to our next level PEDs
I sure hope we have some of that Sahko fat burner stuff for Pjanic

Luiz Gustavo on a loan + option to buy would be alright, I guess.
That weak goatee has to go though. He can keep the moustache.
Also fine with Matuidi or Witsel. Just sign someone and be done with it.

wait when's Claudio coming back again? September? I know he keeps denying the November/December reports so there's that
Witsel would be fine too
I still feel that Matiuiuoudi is too good and simply too expensive for a stopgap signing, but if we can afford it....

I imagine so.
We won't actually see our full first team until the second league game at least, due to Smalling being suspended and Pogba needing time to move and settle in.

Yup, although I think Rooney will be playing for Everton in the second half.

Delicious.

You know #EPL clubs would be all over him and offer 10M€ more just to flex those financial muscles. December seems realistic for Marchisio. :( Even if he's back before then, he'll likely be a ghost for a couple of months.

I wouldn't worry about any other PL club since I'm sure he'll pick us over them, or else we'll dip Mino in ACID
feel like this is some dangerous levels of muppeting since the only link to him was a Tuttosport cover story 😂 or did you read something else somehwere? I haven't seen his name being mentioned on twitter either

Besiktas confirm Mario Gomez is in "serious" talks with Barcelona & Dortmund
Hmm. Would be a decent backup for Barca
Just the fact he's a PSG player makes this story a bullshit one. I think they'd rather break both Verratti's legs than sell him (or any other player) to us.
Fuck PSG.
