I really really liked Preacher. Not everything worked; a fair bit of filler or heft, a relatively uncharismatic lead performance, and one or two decisions they made at the end of the season soured it for me.
But overall I'm hugely impressed by it. It's so confident, like later seasons of BB; every creative decision is done with the utmost confidence and panache, so even when it doesn't turn out a home run you have to admire the balls on it. Largely great performances, it looks fantastic, it's weird and entertaining as fuck and really unlike anything on TV.

My wife read American Gods recently because we love Bryan Fuller (she is obssssseeessssed with Hannibal). Not sure what to make of the trailer tbh. Looks totally out there. She isn't really sure how they could make it into a continuing TV series so I wonder if it will be a one off or how they'll proceed.
