Don't think a 9 or a 10 is possible.

Pele is spot on. Like a 7-8. Picked up some decent prospects, made some loan moves I didn't think Wenger would, and picked up some promising players. Not zomg1! 1!1!1 winning league but we strengthened a lot of positions we needed to.
Im only pissed at/about Gnabry.
By Pele.gif Go To PostI hope he gets involved with the 1st team. Play him in the cup games when needed.

6/10 for me. Lost a lot of dead weight and Mané is a great signing, but lack of a new left back stings, and Wijnaldum seems a questionable alternative to Dahoud. Good defensive signings keep us looking alright, and I'm more excited about our young potential (Grujic) than I was for Rodgers' equivalent (Alberto).
8/10 transfer window
we get a good new manager with this squad + getting the loans back and it's title winning

By Oddinho Go To PostWait, Sissoko to Spurs actually happened?
Considering it is reported that all 4 are Jose's first choice targets, ours should be a 9/10.
One point subtracted for not finding a buyer for Rojo.

I'd go for a 6 as well
High hopes for Matip and Karius, and Mane is looking great. No idea how good Klavan will be or how much we intend to play him. Didn't think Wijnaldum was the player we needed, and so far he's been exactly the player I expected. Lack of a leftback is a massive black mark unless Klopp can pull a rabbit out of his arse and make Milner/Moreno good enough.
Shed pretty much all of the deadweight, and haven't lost anyone we'd want to keep.

Wonder if Poch can put some grinta into Sissoko, like he did Lamela.
We didn't sign a first team player, but think we've strengthened. Not sure we had as glaring a gap as other teams too. Rate it a 6.
But if you look at who went out and who came in, I'm kinda ok with it.
Wanyama > Bentaleb
N'Koudou is apparently better that N'Jie
Sissoko is probably better than Mason?
Janssen is probably better than Chadli
Lopez is better than McGee
Think our first 11 is capable of beating any team in the league if we're fit and ready, just a case of seeing if these lads can replace the others.

I wanted to make a 4th place arsenal joke out of Pele and Esch's responses but I couldn't do it.

Sold: ~100m, including: 90m for a 28-year-old, who, when you remove his outlier season, averaged 17.5 goals per year in the league; and a 30-year-old midfielder who never approached my hopeful expectations but who secured the arrival of someone we've been trying desperately to sign for well over a year and across 3 full mercati.
Bought: ~80m worth of depth and even a couple starters, including: a new striker who achieved a brace 3 games faster than Cavani and 6 games faster than the aforementioned 28-year-old; a new centerback that gives us the second best defensive unit in the league; and a trio of very promising midfielders averaging <21 years in age, two of them with significant and impressive experience in the Abyss.
Retained: Beckenbaly, Gabbigol, and basically everyone else who mattered.
Improvements: Sportiello would've been wonderful, because we need someone to usurp Reina's place; and, ahhh, those flutter-inducing links to Cavani, who said all the right things - what could've been....
By Barzul Go To PostDefinitely can see Mangala making it. Smalling, Koscienly, Pique, Boateng were all varying levels of dogshit once upon a time and they've all improved massively since then. Center back is one of those positions you just really need a lot of games to pick up intelligence in. Most don't peak till the latter years.Smalling was great in his first season with United.
Man I'm so bummed I can't find the post I made like a month ago where I said Sissoko would be going to Liverpool or Spurs.
Found it
By Oddinho Go To PostSissoko is… okay, but he's nowhere near this supposed top midfielder that he's being made out to bee. I mean, Real Madrid? I could see a Liverpool, a West Ham, a Tottenham signing him and using him as a backup, but the clubs he's being linked with are cracking me up.
8/10
With Witsel it would've been 8.5/10, with Matuidi 9/10, 10/10 if we signed all the players we did *and* kept Pogba. Hernanes is a non-entity.
All in all, a great mercato, the best in recent memory. We got Benatia, a brilliant defender who's got presence and experience and will allow for Barzagli to rest every so often (and vice-versa). We got Higuain, the best striker in the league and argubly one of the best in the world right now. And we weakened our domestic competition in the process. Same goes for Pjanic. Dani Alves is another definite (european) upgrade over what we had on the left. A short-term one, given his age, but we've obviously gone all-in to try and win CL in the next two years, so that's fine. We signed a hot attacking prospect like Pjaca. And we brought back Cuadrado, who'll hopefully repeat last season's feats, especially in Europe.
We also got rid of Pereyra and Zaza for surprisingly good money and finally freed ourselves of DJ De Ceglie. I would've liked to see Hernanes shipped to Genoa, but since the Witsel deal fell through, keeping him makes sense, if you don't think about it too much. Despite having Asamoah back to bossing the midfield and Lemina's very encouraging start to the season, I still think signing another quality midfielder would've had us breathing much easier come January, when Benatia, Asa and Lemina will leave for Africa. Shame. I blame Sviato.
And - for what it's worth - we also managed to end the fiscal year with a positive balance.
So, yeah, I'm satisfied.

I see. I haven't played a competitive shooter in a long time, though I did have fun with Destiny PVP. In fact, Destiny overall was a ton of fun, hopefully this next expansion is good

Showed some talent, I liked him, but surely not ready to play at Madrid.

Should be able to rotate him through easier games eventually
