Not sure when I ever compared it to another game, but sure, I will compare it to other games of the same price. Doesn't matter if it was made by Delbert and Dean during a summer vacation, if it's full price I will judge it from a full price game standard.

I would actually be more interested in seeing the game first hand if that's the case. That could go a long way to explaining the overall lack of punch from the visuals.

You trade the ores for better ship parts to improve your ship to travel to another planet to do it all over again. Something I'm curious about... it's meant to be an explorarion game, but due to the procedural nature there will have to be stations or enemy fleets created constantly so you can find them with some regularity, right? So how in the hell us it supposed to feel like a vast, isolated universe with a 7/11 and an army outside every "uncharted" planet you jump to?
