Ricky Hatton was a fantastic boxer, but hen he wasn't fighting he was getting fat. Then getting into shape. All that up and down took a toll on him.
At the highest level, you need to be at your best all the time. I am kinda worried that Higs will be a bust in two years if he keeps swelling up and down. Kinda like how Rooney has dropped off.

And I'm tempted to agree with you Brazul, but cant really comment till both Pog, Xhaka have settled in and we see if we are getting Euro form Ramsey or pirouette in front of your back four and loose the ball Ramsey
Is Dwayne Johnson the most charismatic man out there?
He just comes across so likeable.

Someone hypnotize Ramsey and make him convinced he's playing in the World Cup. Balloon door here we come.

Incredible.

I give this story the same chance of being true as those journalists who claim their 4 year old son, Sebastian, made a devastating quip/truth about Donald Trump
By Kidjr Go To PostI dont get why people are trying to belittle or downplay this transfer.
In market where pretty much every world class player is at a club where they are highly unlikely to move Man Utd have still managed to secure the services of one of them. Whether the players was there's or not, whether its 89 or 110 million, does he significantly improve that man utd team? fuck yes.
Jury is out on still who has the best midfield in the prem but yeah there is no downsides with this signing imo
I would never underrate his abilities. He's world class.
But no matter how you slice it, no matter what reasons you give, they let a player leave because his wage demands were too big, then resigned that same player not 5 years later for the world record fee and presumably wages approaching that title as well.
As a transfer, it's good in the sense they got a truly top class CM. But it's also hilarious.
I also believe we have the best midfield of the league, or at least nobody have a better one than us.
But we arent even on top 10 on strikers lol.

The man deserves it.
Arsène Wenger goes into possibly his final season as Arsenal manager admitting he is “scared” by the prospect of retirement and uncertain he will be able to cope as well as Sir Alex Ferguson without the daily fix of football management.Go on. Give him a new contract.
Wenger, approaching 20 years in charge of the London club, talks about how difficult it will be to break “the addiction” in a far-reaching interview in which the 66-year-old also explains why he is so cautious to show more muscle in the transfer market and bemoans the lack of hunger among some of his younger players.
“It’s been my life and, honestly, I’m quite scared of the day,” Wenger says. “The longer I wait, the more difficult it will be and the more difficult it will be to lose the addiction.
“After Alex retired and we played them over there [at Manchester United] he sent a message to me to come up and have a drink with him. I asked: ‘Do you miss it?’ He said: ‘Not at all.’ I didn’t understand that. It’s an emptiness in your life, especially when you’ve lived your whole life waiting for the next game and trying to win it.”
Arsenal’s reticence to part with vast sums, he explains, goes back to leaving Highbury – “the love of my life” – to move into the £390m Emirates Stadium in 2006. “We had to pay back the debt. We knew we had limited money and we had to be in the Champions League to have a chance to pay off the debt. That was the most difficult period for me. For a while it was very bad, but today the club are financially safe.”
He adds: “I personally believe the only way to be a manager is to spend the club’s money as if it were your own because if you don’t do that you’re susceptible to too many mistakes. You make big decisions and I believe you have to act like it’s your own money, like you’re the owner of the club and you can identify completely with the club. Because if you don’t do that I think you cannot go far.”
One of the questions for Wenger is about how the game has moved on since his appointment in September 1996 and the Frenchman, citing “the power of the agent”, refers to a change in attitude among young players at Premier League clubs. “I’ve fought all my life for footballers to make money but when you pay them before they produce it can kill the hunger. I’m scared we now have players under 17, under 18, who make £1m a year. When Ian Wright was earning that, he’d scored goals, he’d put his body on the line. Now, before they start, they are millionaires – a young player who has not even played.”
“What I think will happen is that you will have more and more players coming out of the lower leagues who have had to fight their way through,” Wenger says. “Compare that with a player who has been educated here, who has had Champions League for 17 years, who has not known anything else. It’s not a dream [for that player], it’s normal for him. But if you play for a team in the lower leagues and watch Real Madrid or Barcelona on Wednesday nights you think: ‘I’d love to play in games like that.’
“I’ve said to our scouts to do the lower leagues because the good players are there now. Don’t forget we have many foreign players in the Premier League, but good English players have to go down to develop.”
The man deserves it.
So Wenger said that they might be short of centre-backs for the Liverpool game.
Imagine if there was some sort of period during the off-season where teams could bring in players to help fill positions where they are weak. What a world that would be to live in.

Meh, I have respect for Wenger like no other manager in the game. I think he's a phenomenal manager. Not that he doesn't have his shortcomings, but I rate him over Guardiola, Simeone, Klopp even.

Thoughts on Fabregas this season?
Him and Matic, with Kante thrown in the mix should theoretically be the best midfield in the league.
But they both have been shit for going on 18 months. Hmm.

WHATTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT????????
Guy has total control of the club. Best league finish he has experienced in a decade was 2nd.
I think you swap Wenger with any of those managers and they will do better, whilst Wenger would not have experienced the same level of success at those clubs.
So when Wenger spent 40 million on Ozil, that was from his OWN MONEY. What a fucking legend, and it just shows you how much he believes in his boys <3

re: Jese
He never fully recovered from his injury and a part of me thinks he never will. i hope he finds his form though, he was electrifying coming off the bench before his injury - much like Vasquez today. He's also in Paris which means his music (rap/reggae) will be much more appreciated there.
