Shooting in a mall in Munich, multiple dead.
Developing right now. Multiple dead confirmed, shooter or shooters still at large. Unconfirmed reports of shootings in other parts of the city.
Absolutely horrible. Don't know what else to say.
I hope they're able to catch the perpetrators alive so that they can face justice, instead of taking the "easy way out" and becoming martyrs.
RIP to the victims.

Police only confirms one location. This is looking like more and more like a single gunman, probably not a terrorist attack. There´s a video of the shooter on top of a parking lot arguing with the guy filming the video on a building nearby.
By LFMartins86 Go To Postprobably not a terrorist attackWhat you mean is that you don't know if it's committed by ISIS. You don't need to be non-white to commit acts of terror.
By your definition, Anders Breivik was not a terrorist.
By Francis Go To Post8 people confirmed dead.Awful. btw, can civilians buy guns in Germany?
there's video of the shooting floating around the internet. Guy pulls gun and just starts blasting people who approached him as they run away.
By Kabro Go To Post9 dead.
heard on sky news that there were 3 shooters?
They're saying it's possible, due to what a witness said. But the police aren't sure it seems. Could easily just be a confused person who just escaped gunfire.

Well yes, but the laws are extremely strict. I doubt the gun or guns used turns out to be legally owned.

Will explain it at the end of my posting.
By Elchele Go To PostAwful. btw, can civilians buy guns in Germany?Yes, for both sport shooting and hunting. Weapon collectors are a bit different.
There are several laws in there though :
- No police record, no mental health records, a psychological check for persons under 25, no semi automatic guns, you have to buy a safe to store them and it will be checked whenever the authorities want to etc.
- you can only get ammunation with a license.
- you need to have the necessary skills to use the gun and it takes some time until you can get one for the first time.
Anyway, it looks like this might not be political motivated and actually is part of someone with mental problems being fed up with the world.
They found a 9th dead person, which seems to look like the shooter from the videos and they found him about 1km in a park area nearby the shopping mall and mcdonalds.
They're currently cautiously approaching it, as they seem to suspect there might be something in his backpack.
In the videos where the shooter goes around on that parking deck, you can see people from an appartment complex shouting towards him and saying he is a cunt, apart from some other old racist guy, and he said something about being in stationary treatment.
This means in a psychological clinic. He also mentioned living in a Hartz 4 gegend, which means a poverty ridden area...he also said that he is German after the old racist guy shouted "scheiss kanacken" which is a bad term towards foreigners, especially towards turks. And he mentioned that he was always bullied.
It's obviously just alot of speculation from my part, but it looks like one of those shootings we had here before.
Winnenden and Erfurt also had two guys that both had mental problems and took their revenge. Just more specific as they both targeted their former schools.
Wooden, that's the point where I wanted to explain the gun situation.
The first person was able to buy the gun by himself, a pumpgun. Later on they were forbidden and gun laws became stricter (the already mentioned psychological checkup).
The second person which had that massacre in Winnenden, just knew the code to his fathers safe where he stored the guns.
That's why his father is still battling lawsuits, but you get the picture.
Both of them had legal guns, both of them we're sport shooters.
Let's wait for some more facts.
Double post, but we got some facts now.
- 9 casulties, 10 if you include the shooter.
- 18 year old guy who is German-Iranian.
- Never had any contact with the police and wasn't on any radar.
- 3 with severe injuries, and 13 minor injuries, plus a couple of more minor injuries that made it to the hospital themselves.
- no infos about the pistol yet and how he obtained it.
- no indicators about other shooters.
- there was shooting between the shooter and a normal police patrol, but there are no infos whenever he got injured or not.
- he commited suicide about 1km away in a park.
- no indicators that it was a political motivated act, but they obviously won't rule anything out until they're done with the investigation.
Public transport is getting back on and the warning that everyone should stay at home, is lifted.

By Gabyskra Go To PostWhat you mean is that you don't know if it's committed by ISIS. You don't need to be non-white to commit acts of terror.Exactly, I didn't express myself correctly. What I meant was it didn't seem like the work of an organised terrorist cell but a shooting rampage done by a single individual.
By your definition, Anders Breivik was not a terrorist.
