Is it this issue again?
By reilo Go To PostSo the thing with that is when you embed third party things like images, if they are not https links, the browser will treat the entire page as partially insecure. That's why you won't see that message on pages that don't have insecure images embedded, like the profile page.
More on that:
slaent.com uses an invalid security certificate. The certificate expired on Friday, November 16, 2018, 6:38:03 AM. The current time is November 16, 2018, 10:15 AM. Error code: SEC_ERROR_EXPIRED_CERTIFICATE
I need to tweak my cert refresh script. A simple host restart fixes it but I think it happens too late or something. I'll fix it later today.
If I'm not secure here, do I have to wear my special pants to protect myself?
*pants as in underwear.

Is ok now.
Any chance the 'read thread' colour might get changed? Or should I just throw some custom CSS on it?
By JesalR Go To PostAny chance the 'read thread' colour might get changed? Or should I just throw some custom CSS on it?What are you suggesting? Is it not noticeable enough?
By reilo Go To PostWhat are you suggesting? Is it not noticeable enough?Yeah, it's what Laboured and I were saying the other day, the faded red just doesn't have enough contrast against the standard red for me to be able to differentiate the two consistently.
Ya the white text on darker background is easier to distinguish between its bold and faded forms. But the red version on lighter backgrounds is much harder to distinguish.
Firefox 60.0.3 (64-bit)
Just opened the footy thread and that's what I got. Doesn't seem to happen in any other thread.

I messed with our embed provider settings. It should improve loading of embedded media and defer it from loading until it comes into view. That fixed the super jumpy pages on mobile when you go to last unread post.

This happens when I'm on pornhub. So annoying when your trying to get that full screen glory. It's browser thing as opposed to relio thing.
On mobile my screen keeps jittering up and down when there's a tweet in the post. Not by lot, just by like a couple of pixels. pls help.

I'll need to reach out to my provider to see if they can fix that. There's also a weird display bug where if you click on a Twitter embed on mobile it gets oversized on the page for no reason.
It's pretty tough finding free time to work on the site the past year or so as I have been crazy busy. I still have quite a bit of the new profile stuff done, but I'm also being more proactive to actually live my life for once instead of what to amounted working non-stop.

foolishness
I don't know if this is an easy change or not but can the arrow next to hyperlinked images be removed?
No point in doing up a decent OT with that killing the look of things if you want to embed images with links.

By reilo Go To PostSure. I can knock that one out. That's if you wrapped the image in an anchor tag, right? If an anchor tag is this arrow thing to the right of the below image:
Then Yeah.
Ugh so unfortunately I am going to need to do this with Javascript as the ability to do this via pure CSS isn't supported in any browser yet.
By NinjaFridge Go To PostIf you really cared about us you'd build a new browser just for us.😂😂😂😂

happened to me all the time in chrome as well.
Any chance we can get updated embeds? Stuff like the imgur gallery, i don't think exists. Other forums you can usually link whatever imgur url and it'll display but I can only get the actual .jpg/gif/etc to display on slaent.
Also, a reddit post embed would be cool too.
Or like a catch all media tag rather than specifying twitter/instagram/etc
I don't know how hard all of this is to implement though.
