By etiolation Go To PostIs there any option for the user to have the subforum menu at the top always up?Maybe in the future. I'll think about it!
Really interesting, great sense of style. I kinda wish the top bars were slightly smaller and the staff picks too, so we could see a bit of the threads under.
I'll have to tweak with the sizing (especially on mobile), but gonna let this sit for a week or so to gather proper feedback.
PSY, that looks correct.

Believe me, I'm on the latest pixel chromebook so not a bad screen, but it's really frustrating to have links to only 4 threads on the frontpage, when I used to have like 12... Otherwise esthetically, it's a fantastic direction.

Could make the user avatar smaller or get rid of it all together. Okay, now back to vacation!
Looks fantastic. The "..." needs to be bigger, especially on mobile though.
I would also prefer the sub forums at the top bar instead of the giant search bar.

By Woodenlung Go To PostMy phone does not like it though.Geez. What browser are you using? The CSS I wrote will work even as far back as 2-4 years.
But then again my phone is shit
By PSYCH! Go To PostNo more refresh button?I debated keeping it but eventually I landed on the opinion that it's absurd for a website to have to fix a browsers lack of quick access to refresh. I get why a refresh button would be more useful on a site like this especially during busy times, but it felt like out of place.
It makes much more sense to add a refresh button to the bottom of a thread though.
By jem Go To PostA refresh button similar to the one on GAF's mobile site would be cool.Something like the live thread extension would be amazing
By Baconsaurus Go To PostSomething like the live thread extension would be amazingYes, that extension is great.
By jWILL253 Go To PostCan I suggest an auto-hide feature for the top bar?Possibly. I gotta let it all sink in and gather more feedback for tweaks.
By domino Go To Postwow new slaent mobile is sweet. is desktop like this too?Yes. The biggest point was to make the UX consistent.
Nice work reilo! I like the design direction. Props to ya. I kinda agree that maybe a reload button at the end of a page or after the last post is a good idea. Also will there be a subscribe to thread feature in the future?
Love the new design, but I agree you should remove the avatars from the STAFF PICKS. They take way too much space and don't contain any relevant "information".
logging in still takes me to my profile page. can it not immediately take me back to the page i was already on? this has always bothered me.
also, i'm still getting errors on my phone that end up with the page having to refresh. latest ios version, 4s. this is the only site that fucks up for me.

By Elchele Go To PostLove the new design, but I agree you should remove the avatars from the STAFF PICKS. They take way too much space and don't contain any relevant "information".How about instead of blurred avatars, the backgrounds could be related to the sub-forum which the thread is in.
So the Gears OT and MGSV OT would have an entertainment background, the Eurobasket thread would be a sports background etc.
That way they still stick out whilst actually providing information.
By reilo Go To PostGeez. What browser are you using? The CSS I wrote will work even as far back as 2-4 years.Lol that looks like gingerbread stock browser
Also can you strink the frame a little bit that follows the scroll on the main page. It takes up like 1/3rd the screen (in landscape) at least on my n7 in chrome
By jem Go To PostHow about instead of blurred avatars, the backgrounds could be related to the sub-forum which the thread is in.Good idea but not possible with our multi-tag system. Threads can live in more than one forum. In the future I'm gonna introduce thread backgrounds.

- Fixed up some bugs with the search input on mobile
- Fixed a bug where the top bar would overlap the writing box on mobile -- which I believe should fix the weird stutter, too
- Removed avatars from promoted threads to clean it up
- Added logout button to User Edit page

I really like the new design, great work!
I'm just wondering if it could be possible to have the red bar at the top autohide?

I can't imagine what it's like to have people criticize your work all the time, so, seriously, great job my friend. Much better without avatars.
It feels like Evernote, and it's a great great thing.
That being said (... :D), if you shave off just a little bit more space somehow, so there's a little bit more space for "recent threads", I think it will be perfect and functional as fuck. People in a fantasy league have been saying they're too intimidated by slaent to move over to here, which is a testament to your sophistication, but I think, also the sign you're very very close to making it perfect if you listen to that impression.
We got WiFi at work recently as there is no phone signal in the break room, for some reason though Slaent is a blocked site. Anyone got any workarounds?

This stutter bug on mobile is annoying but I now know how to replicate. Will need to fix.
Really like the update. The menu being on the left was taking up way too much space. Good work, guys
By Mister Kitten 117 Go To PostNotifications for when you get quoted would be great.Sharp says having "Who Quoted Me" would be quite easy to do and be super performant, so yea, we'll have it.
LG G3, chrome for android
When I type the beginning of a post, then click the picture button so I can include the img thing, the message gets posted as is and I don't get the option to add my photo link.
When I go straight to the picture button, the page refreshes and gives me an empty field to post a new message with nothing else.

not a bug but maybe make the first post a higher minimum space. for example:
http://slaent.com/thread/414630/
looks a bit weird if someone only posts a link.
and maybe move the box up a little/make the box with the thread title smaller.
