I can't help but think that Wesley, Hayward, Millsap and a servicable center could've been something fun for the Jazz. Hell, Utah could've added someone like Teague, kept Millsap and Korver and had a damn good core.
By fertygoBulls gonna got destroyed by Rockets at monday, if Butler still not playing. It's just bereavement leave for Butler.
He should be back.

Hindsight is 20/20..
plus the Jazz kinda got fucked in the lottery so it looks less worth it than expected...but the main idea IIRC behind letting Al and Paul walk was to get Favors and Kanter more minutes to see what they can do. Kanter is ehh but Favors seems to be coming around.
They now need Exum to be that star (more so with Burke imploding lately...) to get over that hump.
Risky but not all that risky ....becuase as awesome as Milsap is...lets be real, they weren't winning much with him anyway.

Not liking Portland's offense this half. I can't tell if they're out of sync after not playing for half a week, or Atlanta's defense. Probably both.
By fertygoBulls gonna got destroyed by Rockets at monday, if Butler still not playing.Did you see the score from last night? This Rockets team is inconsistent as heck right now.
By creepingfearDepends if Josh Smith starts. ;)We're .333 when he starts and 1.000 when he doesn't. I don't give a shit what we promised him, he's not starting.
By diprosalichttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pSHoQmceljUOh, I've seen him play in the NBA. Total of 0-7 in FGs. 0-6 from the line. His on/off differential is -69.1. He's the stash pick who wouldn't stay a stash pick. He might be something in 5 years, but I hate how he's hampered our current roster.

Jusuf Nurkic has been dominant over the last few games, hopefully he can keep it up. He's a huge center who can really score and rebound but has no discipline.

well the rockets drafted him fully knowing he doesn't want to be stashed.
i'm not saying he would be amazing, i just want to see him play in the NBA, that's it.
Reilo,
I just want to tell you that Wes Matthews is ruining my Fan Duel team right now. 28th in the league defending SG's?
Wes can't do anything against that team.

Why would you pick a shooting guard that has a negative DBPM for his career to shore up your backcourt defense? Matthews gets you money offensively. He also leaves his defensive prowess for the playoffs.
Possibly but advanced stats hate him on defense because his steal rate sucks.
By IWMTB19Wes is the best defender on the 2nd best defensive team in the league >_>

Anyone would have been better. I wish I had Oladipo tonight right about now.

Fan Duel doesn't care about defense outside of steals and blocks.
Well there you go. Why would you pick Matthews for that? He's never been a good steal generator, his defense is all about man-to-man and forcing players into tough shots, which doesn't show up in stat sheets.
Dame so clutch!
I think you misunderstood me. Atlanta is 28th in the league defending SG's, not Portland. I was expecting Matthews to have a pulse tonight offensively. Steals and Blocks were a bonus.
In reality, I had a bad night tonight. First one in a while. That's what happens when your two blue chippers play in a 35 point blowout and only play 2.5 quarters. If that Hou/Miami game was close, I'd make some nice change tonight.

By reiloWell there you go. Why would you pick Matthews for that? He's never been a good steal generator, his defense is all about man-to-man and forcing players into tough shots, which doesn't show up in stat sheets.Because he has a fantastic offensive matchup vs. Kyle Korver, who is an abomination on D (hence Vahagn's comment about ATL D vs. SGs). However it looks like Wes is just spotting up for 3s instead of taking Kyle to the woodshed.

Capela is a fantastic rim protector, who could be a pick-and-stash guy for the Rockets. The Rockets are making big efforts to clear cap space and bring in a third star next to Dwight Howard and James Harden. With that thought process for Rockets' GM Daryl Morey, it's likely Capela won't be coming over right away. He'll develop in Europe while the Rockets don't have to commit his salary to their payroll right away.http://www.cbssports.com/nba/eye-on-basketball/24598796/nba-draft-rockets-get-a-b-for-picking-clint-capela-at-no-25
LAS VEGAS – The Houston Rockets and their 2014 NBA first round draft pick Clint Capela are in a contract dispute following the team’s failed attempt to lure Chris Bosh from Miami, league sources informed CSNNW.com.http://www.csnnw.com/nba/sources-capela-rockets-contract-dispute
According to one source, for cap space, the Rockets requested that Capela spend another season in France, believing they would land Bosh in free agency. Capela’s representatives were strongly against that idea and that still stands. Friction amongst the two sides is ongoing, sources say.
There’s a $500,000 buyout to free the 6-11 forward from his French team.
'Losing out' on Melo, then Bosh (the one that really hurt), then Parsons, then dealing with Capela's demands (despite being raw as fuck) sucked in the offseason. Then summer league came and we cut Jeff Adrien (who's been productive for the TWolves), only to see our starting PF get injured, resulting in me having to watch Harden play backup 4 because the only other 4 we had on our roster has an on/off court differential of -69.
Look, I've seen his highlights, I get that he has potential, but with Howard at his age, and Harden playing at the level he is, he isn't doing anything to help this team.

Kyle is 2-8FG (2-7 on threes!) on the game and only has 2 three pointers. I'd say Matthews is doing his job. Not sure what else you wanted.

What are you talking about defensive stats? Matthews is doing nothing on O. Did you read what Vagahn posted or are remotely familiar with FanDuel?

No. Atlanta is 28th in the league defending SG's. Cuz Kyle Korver is ass. I expected Matthews to get about 33 fantasy points tonight. He's got 16.

I played the Late slate, which has 2 games (PHI-LAC, ATL-POR). It's not going well but I have alot of guys in the LAC-PHI game.
Out of the 13 games LaMarcus played in December, he had 10 double-doubles. The other three games? He finished with 9 rebounds. He's got 3 other games on the season with 9 rebounds.
Pretty amazing seeing him turn into a fine rebounder over the years.

I never do the late slate. Maybe I should, it would cut my research time pretty dramatically.
Matthews you dumbass.
Matthews you beautiful son of a bitch. Finally!
He's in my season long fantasy team. He's usually much better than tonight though! Lets hope for OT
By The FrankmanSomebody get Lillard some of the secret stuff, I need him to outscore Teague by alot here.

he said it in every interview that he absolutely doesn't want to go back to europe. i even asked him myself and he said it wasn't an option for him.

yeah, to me it seems like they drafted him knowing that he doesn't want to stay in europe unless he told them something different behind closed doors the which i wouldn't know.

By diprosalicIf we traded him now, I'm not sure we'd get much for him. I think he was shopped around when we knew we would acquire Smith, but couldn't get a deal to happen (which led to us waiving another summer leaguer in Tarik Black).By chandlerparsonsThe talk immediately following the draft, that wasn't really the impression I got.

He looks great in his D-League games, but from what I posted earlier, it doesn't look like he's close to showing that form at NBA level (just yet). I'm really not sure which team we could work something out with that would give him the playing time you want.
