By fertygoThat's not flagrant, won't mind tho just for lulzThe refs would call jumping into a guy and smacking his head a flagrant at any other point in the game. It's just the typical NBA inconsistency where you can get away with more at the end of games if you have a reputation as a "physical" team.

Only dumbasses think a guy missing a three with 3 guys on him and .6 seconds left should count against him.
So congrats - you're that special kind of idiot.

Lol. You're right. .6 seconds left. Down by 3. Why couldn't he wave his hands magically and have all the defenders disappear into thin air. Such a shitty player.
He should have caught it, realized he was defended and passed it as time expired. Then he wouldn't have a missed FGA and we would talk about how clutch he is.
I started watching The Knick and quickly realized that the NBA team is officially the second best Knick themed event on TV.

When you have 0.6 seconds and you're down by 3 you're silly to call it a bad shot. If he shoots a 2 pointer or doesn't get the shot off in time. You can complain. But In that time with that score ANYONE who gets a 3 pointer off in time did his job.
An ESPN talent evaluator says Karasev would've been top seven in this year's draft.
“I see him as a skilled off-guard who can handle the ball,” Fraschilla told Raskin. “He’s a coach’s son, so he understands the game and makes the right plays. He has truly great passing skill and high BBIQ. He has great size and length. He's fast, sees the court well, and was a knock down shooter in Europe at age 18 while leading Russia to a Bronze Medal at the London Olympics under Blatt. He's smart and active on defense to the point where Hollins has been praising him for it. The more I watch him the more I love his skill set. This is an awesomely talented prospect and we got him for nothing. He'll go as far as he's willing to work.
“As crazy as it sounds,” Fraschilla added, “he’d have been a top-five, top-six, top-seven pick this year. He’s very talented. I don’t know if the situation in Cleveland was dysfunctional or not, but I also would tell you that at 19, he was not ready for the NBA last year.”

I really should blame the coach and the players for bowing into Kobe's BS but that shot should have gone to somebody else... doesn't matter because the Lakers suck and Kobe is a shell of himself this year.
Maybe next year he will look better than Wizard's MJ but who knows..
By MethodKobe is the best tank commander in history. Well done kobe
I am ok with this.
Even MJ the owner can't pull this off. Kobe wins again.

Great writing.
By giririsss"With hindsight i can make these evaluations."The original article was written before the season, before Karasev had gotten any real playing time in the NBA. I think part of the reason he fell in the draft was because he was so young and teams assumed he'd be several years away.
Great writing.
I do know that our front office was fucking crazy for the guy in 2013, and were disappointed when Cleveland snapped him up. But we ended up drafting Plumlee instead, and now we have both.

Old man Kobe has forced konex to ascend to a new level:
I just can't respect this type of play from Kobe. 1 FT at home? He isn't trying hard enough if he only manages 1 FT at home.
Protecting FG% and padding all-around stats while abdicating his responsibility as a scorer in a close game? WTF
He allowed the hating media, ingrate fans and all the contract-year mercenaries hungry for shots on this team to change his game.

Then you're an idiot?
I know being completely clueless about basketball is a point of great personal pride to people on this page, but I've said all along Kobe's no longer Kobe and that he can't continue to chuck 20+ shots a game and dominate.
He played an overall great game and was clutch as hell. Before that missed 3 which was a Hail Mary sequence he 1) hit a 3 with under 30 seconds left to make it a 1 possession game 2) ran accross the court to foul Lin's man because Lin brain farted like crazy 3) got into the paint and set up Ed Davis for the potential tying FG with 2 seconds left and 4) got behind the line and got the shot off despite a near impossible scenario.
15/9/8 on 43% shooting (6/14) is just fine when you consider a couple of those shots were bailout percentage busters.
This is not a game any rational person should be criticizing Kobe on and all you had to do was watch it to see he played pretty well.
This isn't about the media getting into Kobe's head - it's about having a large enough sample size to know that 20 shots per game on 45% is no longer feasible for him. He's consistently done that for 15+ Years - but there's enough of a sample to know it's out of his ability. Rust and adjusting to a new system can't be blamed. It's him. He's got to adjust to be effective and lower his FGA and pick and choose his spots. Which he did really well today.

Trey Burke has a 44.4% TS%, MCW has a 43.9% TS%. Who will win in the battle to be the least effective non-Zach LaVine PG this year?
we need to add a fucking all-star to this team man
but leonsis has more or less said he's saving cap space for 16 so we've gotta ride with what we've got until then I guess
i'm torn because you can basically buy the East at this point if you're willing to spend

Hey Reilo,
Remember when I said Kobe was just being over-extended, fatigued, and his body was breaking down? And that all he needs is to shift roles, play less min, rest more, and his efficiency will go back up?
It's like, tired legs affect your ability to hit jump shots consistently, or something something.

Hey Vaggy,
Remember me ever saying the opposite? Remember what small sample sizes are? So who are you calling out?
Literally everyone except Kobe and Scott said that it would be foolish to have Kobe play ridiculous minutes and run the offense around him like he was 29 years old.
Everyone. Except Kobe-konexes.
Those numbers are also inflated because of the Denver game. The other two games he wasn't very good and played 33 and 34 minutes.

I don't remember "small sample sizes" being used in the insane overreaction during the GS game. Followed by the quiet murmur following 2 blowout losses.
Yea he won't keep these percentages up, they'll drop down to something more sensible. But no, everyone was saying LA was better without Kobe. Period. There was nothing in there about minutes or role changes or rest.
When I said as much and suggested he could be effective and efficient on Duncan's schedule, I believe your response was "hahahahaha"
