It's really depressing watching young players in the NBA. Lacking so many fundamental skills. I never thought I'd be the old geezer yelling "bounce pass" but watching these Knicks unable to catch the ball, or keep doing bounce passes straight into peoples knees is infuriating.

By psychintellectI remember he did predict lots of losses due to the triangle. There are still other issues but Phil is fixing them slowly.By VahagnIt's really depressing watching young players in the NBA. I was wrong for sure. I anticipated they'd be healthy so Melo and Amar'e can handle the brunt of the Knicks post options in the offense. I also thought they'd be serviceable on D.
But watching this team, or the team all season, it's clear that none of them have the basic skills to run that system. The most simple bounce passes and entry passes and post catches are a problem for this team. You never saw that shit in LA or Chicago.
When people stand in the corner and just hover around the 3 point line, you can't tell what skills they do and don't have. Apparently no one on the Knicks have basic basketball skills other than Melo and Amare.
By ratcliffjaThey might be better off without him. He's not been a reliable scorer in the slightest, is terrible on defense, and isn't a good enough rebounder to warrant the max or near max that he'll want. This isn't a good night for the Kevin Love defense, but he's been awesome since LeBron went down.
He's always been great, the Cavaliers haven't really figured out his fit with Irving and LeBron, though.

Who says no?
Edit: I know it would never happen, but I think Phoenix has to unload one of their PGs at some point if they want to make a serious run.

His best game of the season leading to a Philly win is a perfect microcosm of Kevin Love. Dude can get amazing stats, but they've never translated to wins.

Ricky Rubio got hurt in 2012, missed the last half of the year and the team collapsed when faced with playing JJ Barea a ton. Why didn't you lead Martell Webster and Michael Beasley to the playoffs, Kevin?
By Sho_Nuff82Deron looks dead on the sideline, damn. The minute he gets back on the court he gets reinjured again.
Yo, what is Kirk Hinrich doing still playing.
lol, Jimmy Buckets missed his easiest shot of the year.
Jingles is drunk, get out of the game.

It's lazy but it's re-occurring. Narratives stick until they're proven wrong. Peyton Manning isn't clutch in the playoffs. Scoring Leaders can't win chips. You need a dominant Point Guard and Center to win a chip.
Kevin Love getting the keys to the Cavs and losing to the Sixers while going Ham isn't a ringing endorsement for his ability to uplift a team.
By chicagocubsfanisthemanI've never been a fan of the spot-up shooter role to which American white guys seem to get relegated. I'm not saying they're capable of more, but guys like Hinrich, Redick, Dellavedova, etc. seem like wasted spots to me.By unknownFirst quarter at least he sucks.By chicagocubsfanisthemanHinrich fucking sucks.wat,he is fine. whats wrong?

Kevin, why didn't you win that game playing with all those bad players?
By ratcliffjaHinrich used to be a top tier defender as well. By chicagocubsfanisthemanI guess that's why Thibodeau wanted him. I still hate that role offensively, though. It's the reason I like Crawford a lot more in general, as he knows how to attack the basket, draw fouls, and get into a good flow. He can be super sloppy and take dumb shots too, but he still does more than just wait outside the 3 point line and wait to get open.By ratcliffjaHinrich used to be a top tier defender as well. By IWMTB19Trey Burke vs. Derrick Rose is a struggle that is not fun at all on either side.Hayward taking his matchup with Butler personal is fun though.
