But the Cavs really are out of trade assets now though. There's nothing desirable whatsoever on their roster, they've used up the last of the picks they got from other teams, and the next pick they can trade is their own in 2018. They are all in.
TWO NATIONAL BASKETBALL ASSOCIATION FIRST ROUND PICKS FOR MOZGOV?
at this point I think Bron is just trying to fuck over the Cavs forever.

Same old Cleveland, throwing shit at the wall to try to please Lebron.
By KingGondoTaking less money to play in warm Miami and tax free Florida is different than taking less money to live in Cleveland. Which will make it even more awesome and hilarious when K Love leaves in the off season
Also, how bad are the Knicks that all they could get for Tyson Chandler was two 2nds, Shane Larkin, and overpaid Jose Calderon.
In 2012, 2013, and 2014, the Cavaliers drafted 10 players.
The only one left is second rounder Joe Harris.
This is the NBA equivalent of literally winning the lottery multiple times and blowing it all on coke and Kevin Love.

So is Mozgov. Next season is a team option for him. It's a ridiculous trade and Denver just made out like thieves.
By VahagnOk. Mozgov? Ffs. If he's woth two first's then Shump/Jr are worth one + a second rounder.
Phil's negotiation skills aren't encouraging.
I don't think you understand. A first round pick was the price for taking on JR Smith

They have Brandon Haywoods contract which is $10mil non guaranteed for next season, so basically an expiring.

Really the Cavs are screwed no matter what if "Lost weight" Lebron is going to continue being as uninspiring as he has been and their team chemistry continues to be non-existent. On paper they should have enough talent to win the Least but it's very questionable that they can ever get there as long as Lebron is basically running the team.
By KingGondoThey're probably still fucked.
They have no other interior bigs besides Mozgov (who isn't even that good).
Their supporting cast is made up of Friends of LeBron who are past their prime, too.
This trade is absolute robbery by Denver.
What is Ray Allen doing these days?
I for one welcome the new Cleveland Knickerbockers.

No but seriously he's going to be great if he can get his head out of his ass.
Those 2 firsts may not be that good. It's a desperation play but I don't think denver came away with anything special.
The truth is, Mozgov is probably going to be better than whatever those 2 picks end up being. But Denver is about to enter firesale mode, so whatever.
Don't think Cleveland did enough to move the needle, still. Mozgov is okay but nothing special. Cleveland is a bit better I suppose, but it won't matter in terms of winning it all.

The obvious next move for Cleveland is to grab Delambert with their injury exception to create a little depth at center.
It's not fantastic but they were wide fucking open before. Tristan Thompson is less than ain't shit. They were starting games with pants down, hands on their ankles, buttcheeks spread and waiting.
They won't be winning anything with this lineup but it's an improvement without question.

You've paid good money, and usually a lot of it, to attend these events. These might have been corporate seats but this could be the only time that year he gets to use them. Out of all the hours he'll work.
Being able to express your displeasure with a team/players performance isn't a bad thing. And the NYK have putup some horrendous performances over the years worth getting heckled over.
Taking it too far is.
Knowing all the incredibly shady / stupid shit Dolans goon squad at MSG have done before it's entirely believable they would have fabricated half of this. It's also believable he was drunk and taking it too far.

Denver just picked two great center prospects in the 2014 draft. Nurkic: Who has been dominant the last few games. And Jokic: Who has been dominant in Europe this year. They had no use for Mozgoz with Nurkic and Jokic.

Do they have another one? That's a good question, I read somewhere they had two (and weren't allowed to combine them) but I can't find a direct source backing that up. And come to think of it I don't think anyone else went down for them. If Delambert clears waivers they can still offer him the minimum though.

Timofey Mozgov goes into the Cavs' $5.3M trade exception created when they moved Keith Bogans to Philly in September.
Is where I got my info.
eh, that article agrees with what I said.
To acquire Shumpert, the Cavs used their one-time Disabled Player Exception (worth $4.9 million) they received for losing starting center Anderson Varejao for the season last month. Those exceptions can be used on one-year players; Shumpert is a restricted free agent this summer.
Cleveland still has its roughly $5.3 million trade exception.
They just used that on Mozgov.
So let me update the tally now.

Late firsts have a 25% of being good so I think there's decent odds of one of those guys being better than Mozgov.
Getting two firsts for a player you have no use for is pretty good.
Nurcic is a fucking beast for one but wow...
Cleveland still isn't even as good as a healthy Washington team imo
They're gonna be screwed for another decade at this rate.

That's still worse than a coin flip when you do the math which makes my comment 100% accurate. Mozgov is likely to be better than whomever is picked. Also the OKC pick may end up being 2nd rounders which has to be figured into any evaluation.
I agree the deal is pretty good for Denver. I just think some people are overreacting to it like they just traded Gerald Wallace for the 6th pick.
Still making the mistake of trying to please Lebron with good veteran players with the only difference being that the threat of Lebron leaving in free agency is now the threat of Lebron leaving in free agency AND him being old and not as good.
we are fucked

By dy_nastyNurcic is a fucking beast for one but wow…The thing that gets me is that so much of what they gave up could have been made to fit together. Karasev is the perfect backcourt compliment to Kyrie. He's amazing off the ball and can be the assist machine that Kyrie isn't. But they drafted Dion 4th overall and he was bitching so they played him instead.

I would roll with that core with Blatt as coach any day of the week over what they have now, and I'd save a million first rounders in the process.

#6 pick then threw in a $40mil contract in for good measure!
The Damian for Wallace swap is an all time bad trade now, especially since Deron Williams is looking like he's gonna be out of the league in a year or two.
LMAO at the cavs... whats the over/under that Lebron is going to bounce again in 2 years when there is no doubt about that roster mediocrity?
