Jimmy Butler is like the most humble guy in the league. Always impressed with his post game interviews.
By Vahagn4th straight game of the Sans-Kobe Lakers being absolutely atrocious in the last 5 minutes.
They were so amazing with him.
By diehardSo he's Harden 2.0?Ugh.
Manziel must have rubbed off on him in Cleveland I swear.
By knux-futureSuperstar Potential tho?No doubt in my mind. He's great off the ball and is like a fucking Jedi with the way he anticipates shit. He passes like a 6'7" point guard or a future point forward. He's fast, has a great shooting stroke, a brilliant BBIQ, I could go on and on. Love his talent set. The Spurs would cream themselves for his skills.

Yeah, but 3 strippers at once.

No. They were below average with him. They're ATROCIOUS without him. Wayne Ellington caught fire at the end of the Dallas game. But beyond that, they've been atrocious. Even the games they played well like tonight and against GS they were atrocious.
I think they went the final 5 minutes with one made FG against GS and tonight they gave up a 5 or 6 point lead with about 3 minutes left and lost by 4. Got nothing except one drive by J Lin and bailout free throws.
By MorisCavs get Shump, JR and a 1stPlease yesterday you would have laughed at me if I said I wanted a first for Shump and JR. A second rounder next year instead of 2019 would have been nice though.
OKC gets Waiters
NYK gets out of JR's contract and cash
Cleveland seemed more desperate than that….couldn't even get that 1st rounder that CLE ended up with? The more things change huh?
edit: ATL shawty! Damn they're fun to watch.
Pretty sure Clippers are going to go all season without beating a decent team. Is it too late to tank?
By diprosalicHouston #6 nowWell, that was rather brief. Like ratcliffja's been saying in these threads, you're not gonna get anywhere with that bench.
Keep workin' dat treadmill TJones. We need you.
By reiloKnicks gave up a first rounder AND Shump to rid themselves of JR???Isn't the first rounder from okc?
Wtttf
Chandler, Smith and Shumpert were the three best guys on that team not counting Melo and functional Amare.
Giving them all up for Calderon, cap space, and a couple second rounders seems like a bad trade. The Triangle needs Bigs that can be effective from either the post or the mid range, so I see why Chandler wouldn't fit. Plus he was going to cost a pretty penny come the summer.
I get why they're all traded. I just don't get why they didn't get some first rounders or better talent back. Phil's in too much of a hurry to clean house and open cap space, he should have probed to get picks back at least.
They have to go all in on Marc and/or LMA and have like a 2% chance of landing either. So few NBA players have fundamental skills outside of shooting anymore. Most guys who try to pass or put the ball on the floor look incompetent so the pickings are slim for Triangle offense options it seems like.

Hey Gondo what do you think of Lance Thomas , I'm hearing the Knicks may keep him?
*Ok we could have gotten much more from the Cavs now for Chandler. But how could they have anticipated that level of thirst?
By VahagnChandler, Smith and Shumpert were the three best guys on that team not counting Melo and functional Amare. We could have gotten more for Chandler I agree, but not much more* (you left out Larkin who was a mid first round pick the year before). But I don't see how you could have possibly expected much in return for half a year of Shump (at any sort or reasonable deal) and a 6 mil bill for JR Smith next seasom. I mean that's pretty much a wash to me in terms of pros and cons for the Cavs. Sure it would have been nice to swindle them but sometimes people refuse to be swindled and you have to take the fair deal.

Agreed. Personally I am ok with what the knicks got. Getting that first would of been great but considering that the common consensus here (and most places) were the knicks were going to have to include a pick to move JR this whole thing could of been much worse.
Now the question is even though the knicks have around 28 million (I am assuming that # is after cap holds) to spend this summer. Do they move calderon (along with Timmy Jr Likely), keep calderon, or waive calderon? Also give some credit where its due, Walsh came to the knicks to drop cap space and gave up a shit ton of picks before he got anywhere near this number space that phil has by just using guys on expirings contract..... so phil is already doing a better than average knicks GM.

They had another month and a half to trade JR. He's still a talent and a pick of any kind wasn't too much to ask.
Individually when you look at it, it makes sense. But when you step back, they traded away 3 of their top 5 players and didn't get a single first round pick. Look at the picks that Masai got for Bargs.
If you want to contend soon, you need picks to make roster upgrading trades. Cap space alone ain't going to cut it

That's just what I've noticed. Fucktwat.

Just read on twitter that KD said the Thunder will make Waiters feel like he is wanted, that he likes Waiters toughness, and believes he can be "James Harden- like scoring wise"
You know who else the Thunder could have had that would be James Harden-like?

By masudHey Gondo what do you think of Lance Thomas , I'm hearing the Knicks may keep him?He only played because half our team was injured early in the season.
His greatest trait is that he isn't a sociopath like JR. Beyond that, meh.
By Dark PhaZeA first for waiters lolololWe weren't going to have a roster spot anyways with McGary and Huestis on the roster next season, and we still might bring in Abrines and/or Pleiss from Europe.
This move puts the okc thunder into the luxury tax unless they make another move before the deadline. Luxury Tax for waiters? Yikes

I don't think there's a "no luxury tax" command from ownership, but it has to be for a good reason. Dion Waiters is not that.
This probably would be though: http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=nrr6847
If you guys can get brook Lopez, that would make you a much, much better team. Going inside out would help both KD and Westbrook tremendously.

The very fact that talks apparently happened is interesting. Nets are desperate for young players, cap relief and picks.

Eh. Story was that the talks didn't go anywhere and that the Thunder called the Nets. It could happen I guess but I wouldn't get your hopes up.
In any case, I get to see the new Pistons today. Should be fun!

Did we talk about Larry Sanders saying he doesn't want to play basketball anymore?
I hope he's just bored of basketball or looking for help for his mental problems instead of this being a case of depression stealing his enjoyment of the game...

They have their 2015 pick but not their 2016 pick. So, they'll probably get a top 3 2015 pick.
