Not sure about Durant making the ASG. Top 3 player in the entire league, but hasn't even played half the games... The West is probably too stacked for him to get in just on pedigree and talent.
By MorisEveryone at Staples for tonight's game is getting a shirt to commemorate Pau's return:
that's really cool, definitely deserves it
Did the Wolves really troll Love and put together a 'The Return' montage for Mike Miller when they played the Cavs?
I really hate the way All-Star voting is done. All all-stars should be picked the way that the reserves are and the fans should vote on the starters from that group. That way we don't have dumb things like Kobe and Blake getting in when they clearly didn't deserve to be.

I understand that it is about the fans but having players like Kobe, griffin, and Carmelo voted in this year is comical.
DMC should be an all star. I'd have him in over LMA to be honest.
But the kings aren't winning. And DMC has kept himself out of the media spotlight a lot this year. So he probably wasn't on a enough casual minds to ever really get in.

By etiolationThe special Cousins rule continues. Everyone else has to perform like an all-star. Cousins has to be 6'11 Lebron James just for a coach nod.I think in this case it was just collateral damage from everything else going on with the Kings. If they had maintained that start, I don't doubt for a moment that Cousins would have been a lock. A starter even.

I feel it's pretty obvious that if they don't fire Malone that Cousins is probably in the all-star game.
But just comparing DMC to the history with guys like Melo, Blake and KLove... there's just this special exception for Cousins.
Well, Lillard had to eventually get out of his shooting slump. Bad move, opposing coaches. Bad move.

We hate that he rejected us, not that he didn't stay. Everyone said good riddance, including me. Considering that we only gave up Bynum for him though, it ain't that bad.
Knicks about to win 5 of their last 6.
By psychintellectIsn't it just a sprained ankle? He had some ligament damage in his foot, too. He's been practicing for about a week now, though. It'll be soon. Finally.

Doesn't bother me at all. Fans deciding the starters is fine.
Now, the reserves were picked by the coaches and they didn't put Lillard on the team which is a joke, IMO. He is more deserving that Klay (not that Klay isn't deserving btw..just in comparison).
And this means Lillard will replace Kobe and not cousins, which also kind of sucks cuz he deserves a spot. Durant really didn't earn his reserve spot, despite how great he's been, because of the games missed IMO.
The real solution is to add roster spots, though. Why are we still at 12? there's now 30 teams in the league and like 13 suit up ever night for each team...
By etiolationI feel Dame is more important to the Blazers than LMA.NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOPE
also damn DMC is averaging 24/12, Nice.
By DominicanPowerThe West is no joke lolIt's weird that guys like Dragic, Bledsoe, Duncan, Parker, Leonard, Dirk, Bogut, Draymond, Z-bo, Conley, Favors, G-Tyme, Lawson aren't even mentioned.
I mean, you basically have a second all star team right there.
RT @johnschuhmann Minutes played...
Lillard (on the 3 seed): 1,669.
Durant + Westbrook (on a non-playoff team): 1,726

Uh, Duncan made it.
Other than Dragic and Conley, don't think the others deserved serious consideration. Too many games missed for some of those guys is partially the reason, others just not that good.
CP over Lillard is terrible
As much as I love Dame, I gotta hope Kerr does the right thing and puts in Cuz though...Cuz was the best big representing USA and he doesn't have a single all-star game to his name despite the situation they have this year..
I mean there's having a great year and then there's what Cousins is doing.

But that would mean, AD, Lillard, DMC didn't make it also.
And yeah, there's injury time there, but G-Tyme has been great all year. And Dirk is a HOF'er.
It's just a sign of how stupid this west conference is this year.

Damian Lillard is one of 8 players in the NBA scoring over 1 points per-possession and using 20+ per-game; the other 7 are All-Stars.
Blake Griffin being voted a starter fucked everything up for Cousins. Nothing else. BG doesn't make it as a reserve if he isn't voted in by fans.
I think it's funny that the "Playoff" roster of the Knicks went 5-329408230948230948 and the Tank roster has gone 4-1.
By reiloBlake Griffin being voted a starter fucked everything up for Cousins. Nothing else. BG doesn't make it as a reserve if he isn't voted in by fans. He's had a pretty bad year overall. It's kind of weird, but even with the Clippers in the 3rd seed in the West right now, it's hard for me to argue that any one player deserves to be an all-star. Honestly, I think DJ has had the best year of anybody on the team, but maybe that's just due to my expectations.

I'm okay with CP3 being in as an all-star. Griffin has been such an odd player this season. I understand why fans voted him in, but that fun-high-dunking-how-do-my-balls-taste Blake Griffin of a couple seasons ago is gone.

Sources: Dwight Howard will get second opinion on his knee, could miss extended time. Likely eliminates Howard as All-Star sub for Kobe.
And there it is. Ouch.
Really disappointed in Griffins year so far. Last year he made a jump but seems to have regressed. Mostly due to him falling in love with his jumper. His rebounding numbers dwindling is also a shame.
How is Chris Paul not an all-star? he's a top 5 MVP candidate.
He's been statistically great this year and the clippers are good record wise and his on-off numbers are fantastic.
And when you watch him, he's clearly the team's best player.
I don't get how anyone could think CP3 doesn't deserve to be there.
IMO, Curry, CP3, harden, AD were the locks and rightfully so.
