By 0vercastI don't think Dwight is playing against the Mavs tomorrow. Terrence Jones is supposedly back though. To what extent, we'll see.I didn't think he'd be back this soon, but I'm really hoping he can work his way back into form. Him back in our lineup finally gives us somebody else other than Harden who can competently drive to the rim.
By creepingfearIs Jimmy gonna play?By fertygoLMAO we had game tomorrow?Thursday.
bulls so gonna lose against lakers
By MambaThibs is going to cost the Bulls a crucial game in the playoffs with his idiotic decisions.
Pau gasol on defense only possessions over Gibson? Miritoc too? WTF is he thinking.
Bulls were pretty lucky Ws missed a shit ton of good looks. And Ws were lucky Rose was pure ass tonight.
That one was easy. Rebounding. I'm not saying Gibson would have been a bad choice, but Pau ain't Boozer and GS crashes the offensive glass hard. Especially Draymond and Speights.
By Red Blasterwarriors offense looks vinny del negro esque when the threes aren't falling
Most offenses look like that when the 3's aren't falling. 5 or 6 different plays total. PnR and dribble hand offs. Every team runs horns, every team runs that little elbow down screen action the Lakers seem to run a million times.
The measure of a good offense now isn't whether you have 35-40 different sequences that you execute like clockwork, it's whether you can keep continuity in your screens and dribble handoffs until a shot opens up. Bad teams try a couple times then iso, good teams will run 5 or 6 of them in 24 seconds if That's what it takes to find an open shot.
“I think this is the best situation for me, ’cause there’s nothing but basketball,” Smith said in an interview with NBA.com. “There’s nothing you expect but basketball. There’s nothing, there’s no going out, there’s no late nights. There’s video games, basketball and basketball. So it’s a great thing, ’cause I go back to where I came from. When I grew up, I never, I wasn’t allowed to go out. I missed my prom because I went to an AAU tournament, and all that stuff. For me, it was basketball, basketball, basketball.

LOL. Shocking to noone, I hope.
Though Smith is excited about the fresh start and the improved record, the New Jersey native still wishes he could’ve made it work with the Knicks, especially in the triangle offense, mastered by Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant.
“I wanted to be one of the players that understood it, that got it,” Smith said. “The two greatest players in the world at my position played in it, and thrived in it, got all the accolades and championships and whatever else came with it. I wanted to be a part of that significant group. Not that I think I’m like those two guys in any way, but to be a part of the building process that that’s the base of, and go from there.”
Smith also holds no hard feelings, understanding the Knicks needed to make a change.
“They made the right decision,” Smith said. “You have to take the car apart in order for it to be what you want it to be.”
Damn, maturity by a one J.R. Smith. Who would have known.

Paul can't jump, dude.
You're right, that's why he had 16 rebounds.

I actually didn't even think about that aspect of why he's played a bit better than in New York. He kind of needs a place where there's a really limited night life. With that said, we'll see if living there drives him nuts over time.
JR was so in deep with basketball going up he didn't even go to his own prom. His parents were drilling him to be the GOAT on some Ryan Leaf shit.
Also - Kembaless Horncats playing the Spurs. I hope we lose 5 times tonight. We got some catching up to do.

The only teams that could feasibly get the 7th/8th seed in the East are Detroit, Boston, Miami, and Charlotte. I really don't see the Nets suddenly turning it around this year with all their problems. I wouldn't count Charlotte out just yet, even with Kemba hurt.

Why did the NBA mess with the Rising Stars game when it was the only All Star addition they've made recently that worked?

I mean its part of it. But I think its more him being the 4th option on that team, Them having an offense where he can just catch and shoot, as well as this potentially being a contract season for him.
In my mind all this says is he didn't put effort in NY because he was where he wanted to be and figured he could ride it out to 2016 and that new TV contract money. Now that he is in Cleveland there is a real chance he's bored enough to play well so he can sign to someplace where he can find some semblance of a nightlife and goof off again.

Do I get the award for understatement of the year or what.
Hopefully Jones can work his way into shape quickly enough for us to see how good this team really is and whether Morey should make a big move.
By ForeverI cannot believe that the trade still hasn't happened. Fire everyone. Fire everything.
Its going to take time for Billy King to find somebody patient enough to take that 2020 and 2022 Nyets 1st round pick bruh....
I'm surprised Zach LaVine made the rookie game. This rookie class must really suck outside of Wiggins.

Nurkic and McLemore should be in the rising stars game. Have no idea how KCP made it considering his shooting has been mostly terrible.
By DY_nastyI know. I'm saying that there's no point in trying to tank now when you have a good chance at making the playoffs and almost no chance of cracking the top 5 tanking teams. 2009 was the last really good draft - had like 4 or 5 future possible HOF caliber players.

By diprosalicfuck conferences
I wish we could do this instead of a dated East vs West.
Have the 16 best teams duke it out. If that means 15 Western conference teams and 1 East team than so be it. I don't watch sports anymore unless it's the after first round of playoffs, I don't care about some garbage team that has no chance and only got in because they play in a weak conference/division
I still like Conferences. I feel they encourage player movement. If you're a player looking to get into the playoffs, moving East is a better option that moving West right now. Right now, good teams are loaded in the West, but that isn't a perennial problem as standard.

Teams should play more games against their inter-divisional foes. Maybe even go the NHL route of being assured of meeting at least one of your divisional opponents in the playoffs, too.

I think they should just guarantee 7 conference spots and the final 2 of the total 16 come from either conference.
At worst, do top 6 guaranteed and bottom 4 based on overall record.
That's 10 West teams and 6 East Teams. That's not nearly enough of a disparity from the usual 8 and 8 to justify some teams flying cross country every two damn days for 4 straight rounds.
Perfect example of a gimmick that hasn't been thought out just to say "Lulz Leastern Conference"
Cleveland would have to play POR, LA, GS and then ATL assuming the best team gets through. That's brutal flight schedule. ATL plays OKC (not that far), then Chicago, then Memphis, then Cleveland.
The schedule alone would give ATL the upper hand there.

2011 was really deep but I think you have to wait a couple years to see who Jimmy Butler, Parsons, Kemba, Shumpert, Knight and Kanter really are.
Are they consistent stars? Or just solid role players. It seems like Shumpert, Kanter, Knight, and Parsons will probably never be an All Star. What is Kemba's and Butler's ceiling. Is this year it? Are they going to get much better?
Kyrie, Klay, Kawhi, Kemba, Butler, Vucevic are probably the 6 best.
Then you've got Faried, Knight, IT, Parsons, Kanter, D-Mo, Markieff who are going to be solid players for their whole career.

5 of the top 7 picks have all spent crazy time hurt. Kinda hard to be a good class like that.
I still think this draft has great talent, we just have not seen it yet.
