By jjasperId be cool with Memphis giving Green the max. Although now with Green if he picks up his player option I think we will only have room for 1 max this summer. And if sounds like with whatever money we have they want to go after Matthews.Jeff Green could be for Mem what Draymond Green is for GSW. He could be.

...But Jeff is a mediocre defender and Draymond is going to win DPotY.
Plenty of guys who do fuck all on one side of the court get a max for being elite at the other, Draymond is actually a good offensive player too.
The Jazz would be the best in the league on defense with Green, I think he would add around 10 wins to the team.
By giririsssDraymond is a much more versatile defender although Jeff really has to be able to defend stretch 4's and 3's for us so I guess it isn't a huge deal.By jjasperId be cool with Memphis giving Green the max. By psychintellectFuck. Jennings out for the rest of the season. Such a huge blow. Detroit was definitely gonna make the playoffs with him in the lineup.Heat season saved.

You're both right, it's a combination. I also think Jeff Green has always been asked to do too much for his teams. It will be interesting to see if he can fit that "elite role player" role. I also think Jeff's defense will naturally improve on a team with that much focus on it.
Whilst i'm not sure Joerger knows how to get everything out of a player and develop them, I do think he's good at defining roles and knowing what to ask of his players.
By Dark PhaZeWhy did Presti participate in a three team trade where Cleveland was looking for the same type of player OKC was.Called this one too.
he got bodied
By ForeverCavs won the trade, as much as I hate to say it. They get a first rounder they can package for a big, they get the wing defender they needed in Shumpert, and they replaced Waiters with JR which is pretty much a wash.
I blame the Knicks.
By ratcliffjaJennings confirmed out for the season with a ruptured Achilles tendon. That really sucks. This season has just been awful with injuries.
By spooksCavs could very well still come out the east. But whatevsWhen is the next time you play the Hawks? I need to see that matchup with my own eyes before I decide.
That wasn't really Dion's fault, but our perimeter D has been ass for quite some time. That's why we're gonna lose today.

Randle and Jabari out early with season ending injuries. KD and Ynot out for a chunk of the early season. Jennings, Kemba, Teletovic all out with season ending injuries in a 24 hour span. Lebron out for the longest stretch of his career. Ropez down. Aldridge down. That's just off the top of my head and I'm sure I'm missing a lot.
We're not even at the All-Star break yet.
Don't forget Paul George is out all year. Kawhi (Finals MVP!) has missed a ton, Kobe suffered a season-ending injury not related to this achilles/legs, Rubio/Pekovic for Minny, Derozan for Raptors. Plenty of long-term injuries happening this season.
All that open shot that should taken by Morrow.. sigh, this OKC team is the biggest underachiever ever.

DeRozan out for close to two months...
He just doesn't watch the East.
Our perimeter defense sucks ass.
Ugh.
These last two losses aren't terrible, but every loss takes on much bigger significance since we started the season so badly.

Do you think the Thunder are missing Thabo's defense in games like these?
By reiloDunno. Thabo was pretty ass for his last two seasons here but he's much less of a liability than Roberson on offense.By KingGondoOur perimeter defense sucks ass.

I'd like to see Morrow start, honestly. Our old blueprint of building our lineup to beat the Lakers (tough interior D, one strong perimeter defender to check a guy like Kobe) doesn't make sense anymore. We should be dictating matchups, not the other way around.
By reiloThabo was ass in 2012-13? That was his best year for OKC… Tough crowd.Maybe I'm exaggerating. Last year was not good for him.
I always thought he was underrated as an all-around player though. Great on the break, good passer, good team guy. Steady on D, while Roberson makes good plays but gets burned at times.
So is this the new excuse for Presti? That he has a plan it just is out of date and isn't working instead of the truth that outside of college scouting he has no idea what he is doing.
Edit: Thunder 2 games behind where Grizz were last year when they had to go 25-13 with a tiebreaker to make the playoffs. Would need to go 27-11 and tile the tiebreaker to get in ( I think I did it right)

Only three games difference in the loss column for Thunder/8th seed. They have plenty of time to turn it around.
By reiloYes, we miss him to some extent. But if Thabo Sefolosha is the difference between making the playoffs from this point and not, we don't deserve to make it.By KingGondoHe isn't nearly as good as Thabo. We know this.
Refer back to my original question.
Looking at OKC's roster I don't even see much that I'd want. Lamb is garbage. Waiters is garbage. I think Reggie is highly overrated and not really that good. Ironically, the only prospect I'd have any interest in is Adams.
Hoping Brook goes elsewhere unless OKC is willing to trade a bunch of picks.

The problem is they not playing him than they should, the number of minute when he playing together with KD and WB hit the floor is almost non-existent which made no sense at all, imagine if all those brick from wide open Waiters and Reggie, taken by Morrow.

Jared Zwerling @JaredZwerling about 1 hour agoSo when their defense improved, it gave them a better chance to win... sounds about right. When their offense finally meshes and their recent defensive acquisitions get going... yikes.
The Cavaliers allowed 100.7 points per game through Jan. 16. Their last four games, all wins? 93.5.

Once they find a way to get more PT for Shumpty Shump they going to look pretty good.
While they paid a kinda high price for Moz he was a great pick up for that team...
By blackaceWhile they paid a kinda high price for Moz he was a great pick up for that team…Do you think longterm Moz > Varejao? I mean Moz moves well and we've seen him be a rebound machine but Varejao's passing fits with LeBron so well. Of course the big factor is Moz is dirt cheap compared to Sideshow Bob. I gotta say Cleveland did a great job under the circumstances patching up some of their holes, they're not done of course but they're getting there.
