Eastern Conference

Record: 4-26
An affront to several Gods.

Record: 5-29
New York has won 1 game since the last OT, uno.

Record: 8-23
Josh Smith and his jumper are gone and Detroit seems to be slightly better off for it.

Record: 10-23
Lance was bouncing around in trade rumors but supposedly made amends to his teammates and reaffirmed his commitment to Charlotte, then Big Al got hurt most likely due to Lance in some way.

Record: 12-21
The front office supposedly kicked around the idea of bringing back Lance, a proposition that the locker room shot down with a resounding "nah, we can lose just fine on our own."

Record: 13-22

Record:11-18
The two biggest stories out of Boston are Rondo being dealt and Smart getting his comeuppance courtesy of Cousins.

Record: 14-19
Wade and Bosh have missed games to injury, if not for the downright godawfulness of the Eastern Conference they'd be completely out of the playoff picture. But since it is the The Eastern Conference they will almost definitely be playing in the post season.

Record: 15-16
New York's best basketball team is below .500, they've officially made a good portion of their roster on the trading block and their future is as uncertain as ever.

Record:17-16
The Bucks are without their #1 pick for the rest of the season, but continue to be successful enough to stay in the top 8 of the conference.

Record: 18-14
Coach got thrown under the bus, body language experts are talking familiar shit about Lebron, Kevin Love doesn't give a fuck and the media is starting to recognize it, Varejao is out for the season and Bron is dealing a bum knee and back. They've gotten desperate enough to try and pry Robert Sacre out of LA for material things. As constructed it's hard to see Cleveland in the conference finals let alone the NBA Finals this year. They should definitely give LA a first for a player on their roster though.

Record: 23-10
Rose is back for the moment, Jimmy Butler is averaging over 20 ppg, Pau is averaging 17/11. Their rookie McDermott is out indefinitely.

Record: 22-9
Rasual Butler is playing ball like he's back on the Oklahoma City Hornets and shooting better than he has his entire career. Butler is maybe Washington's 5th or 6th best players...and that's not a bad thing.

Record: 23-8
A half game behind the conference leader, Atlanta is enjoying a crazy, unexpectedly good year. The very definition of the sum being greater than the parts.

Record: 24-8
Demar, Toronto's 2nd leading scorer, has been out since the end of November and Toronto is still at the top of the conference.

Western Conference

Record: 5-26
Minny is expecting to have Pek, Rubio and Kevin Martin back some time this month. If they can rebound from injury relatively quickly TWolves should be able to get just enough wins to not get any substantial prospect this draft.

Record: 10-22
Julius Randle is still out for the season, time is a flat circle.

Record: 11-22
Burks is out for the season, the exact kind thing that could push Utah closer to the bottom of the league. They're 2-1 since he went out but the two wins were against Minnesota and Philly.

Record: 13-20
Brian Shaw still can't coach.

Record: 14-19
Their coach got tossed and they went 3-6, their 3 wins against NYK, LAL & Minnesota.

Record: 16-17
KD came back for 9 games and then got hurt again and missed the next 6 and just came back again. The bottom half of the Western Conference isn't doing as well as some projected, as long as Russ and KD don't miss anymore games they should be able to make it to the playoffs this season.

Record: 16-16
Anthony Davis is still playing unbelievably well, and the guards on his team are still trash.

Record: 18-16
Playing well enough to be the 8th spot for now, unless Phoenix can get it together and play consistently well, they're likely to just miss the post season this year.

Record: 20-14
Patty Mills is back, and could potentially mean better positioning for San Antonio but only time will tell.

Record: 22-11
Clippers are who they are at this point in the season. Without some sort of shake up they're destined for a 2nd round knock out at best.

Record: 23-10
Last OT I wrote; "I just wonder how you can expect to continue to win when Jameer Nelson plays 25 minutes a game." Dallas then added Rondo. One of the few high profile players who could threw a wrench in their great offense without substantially upgrading their defense. But according to Rondo he hasn't given a fucking shit about defense in a while. So we'll see.

Record: 22-9
Not to be outdone by Dallas' star addition of a player who can't shoot and hasn't played good defense in a few seasons, Houston signed Josh Smith.

Record: 23-8
Memphis fell from top of the NBA to tied for 4th. Randolph has been dealing with a knee problem since late December

Record: 26-7
Lillard has been lighting it up, Robin Lopez is out with a broken hand and Batum is battling knee and wrist problems. Despite health woes, Portland has a great opening to the season. They should be trouble come playoff time.

November Record: 25-5
David Lee is back in the lineup, Bogut is dealing with his knee and Klay/Steph are still playing very well. One of the few true title contenders.
