#SLAENT on IRC
For anyone interested in the IRC life, we got #slaent up on DorksNet (studio64.yi.org or any of the other servers).
Here's a mibbit link: http://chat.mibbit.com/?channel=%23slaent&server=studio64.yi.org

I actually appreciate the mibbit link. When my old laptop died on me, I lost all the information on half a dozen servers that I used to fuck around in. Made me give up on mIRC for a bit.
By harSonI'm assuming this forum is what your PM is going to be about?Yeah. Along with some of the stuff we've got planned in the near future.
I was trying to pick up some people's tumblr information and stuff as well since there's a LOT of guys who'd like to share their stuff in front of a bigger, established audience.
By GabyskraFor the IRC channel to pick up, we need a good ol' fight against the admins of the site.Or for clovis to say somethings clovis-like.
Just got the IRC up and running in chatzilla.
By J10Every time I pop in there's only like one or two people idling.that's because there isn't a crowd to watch me and baldy post drunk anymore lol
i'll hop back on tomorrow probably. when i got my new laptop i lost all my logs and server setups.

It's usually db, giri, bluemax and I in there, but we talk when anyone, someone, really, opens their mouth. I usually idle during work hours.
By SlayvenWe need tinychatpeople on that other site fucked that all up. thirsty, tongue-wagging motherfuckers lol
also, i updated this laptop finally. i'll be around - used to hit /help all the time at work and make a serious face to look busy as fuck while bullshitting
By The Frankman Go To PostHow do I get this working for chatzilla?Just type in /server studio64.yi.org and then /join #slaent
By reilo Go To PostBump for all of you newbs.
I showed up a couple times during the past year, it seemed dead.
By db Go To PostWell it wont stay dead for long if people chill in there and we accumulate members.Sure, but like 2-3 years ago, it was great, more fun than the thread.
Well, there's a good reason for that: #nba-age used to be an escape from that other site, but now that we got a fully functioning site with a growing memberbase, it's only natural that the conversation shifted to the site because we feel comfortable discussing on here.
By Kidjr Go To PostPeople still use IRC to chat? Why?Less formal structure and stuff like Slack is really meant only for business use. Not everyone likes WhatsApp.
I see, Fair enough. I only remember using it about 12 years ago when it all looked like you were typing in chat rooms. I'm sure it's changed a lot since then.

It can't change. IRC is IRC. That's like saying maybe the world wide web has changed. Interfaces change and there have been good clients options for IRC for 20 years. IRC is not one program.
By reilo Go To PostOnly thing that has changed about IRC is the apps that you use it with. And even then, not much.Tbh, I feel I had a better client in the late 90s than the shit I use for it now, browser-imbedded clunky extensions...
