Whew. Good lord.
Every kid who grew up in the UK from the early 90s until very recently, no matter their location, had United fans in their class group. Going on about their trophies and their good players. How they were a special, the Trafford 'More than a Club'.
United fans will accuse City fans and Chelsea fans of being plastic when they were one of the first clubs to hollow out football, corporatise it, sanitise it, turn it into the corporate driven shell it is now where their fans agonise over noodle deals and boast about their financial wealth through Ed Woodward like Trimalchio at his dinner. The hypocrisy of United fans moaning about Man City's atmosphere when 'prawn sandwich brigade' was coined to sum up their iPad-touting, selfie-stick supporters with their Selfridges bags is not unnoticed.
The last few years when winning has been a struggle has seen a kind of martyrdom from their supporters, as if their massive transfer fees not fully working give them some sort of sympathy. All this has done has turned them into slightly more obnoxious Arsenal fans. The fact they've allied behind a manager whom had a meltdown live on TV after Steven Davies embarrassed his coterie of Russian-financed matrioshka dolls and a player whose outbursts have made him a meme for pudgy slightly racist 14 year old videogamers show their desperation.
Whew. Good lord.
By FlutterPuffs Go To PostThe older I get the more I can't stand Quentin Tarantino.Kill Bill Vol. 2 is the only film from him I really love. The others range from terrible to okay.
His recent works are like fanfictions of movies he watched when he was a kid.

By FlutterPuffs Go To PostI'd say Spurs is my darkhorse for EPL title.Flutter, pls. It's back to 5th/6th for us, m8.
They have the team and the manager, but they could still fold like they did after the spotlight was turned to them like last season.
By Scum Go To PostFlutter, pls. It's back to 5th/6th for us, m8.I really think it depends how mature Dele Alli has gotten before the season starts. Other teams found out how easily it takes to aggravate the lad.
Yeah, fuck listening to Tarantino :lol. Reading interviews with him are great though.
Every single film he's ever made is like that.
I think he's evolved massively as a filmmaker. Lost his way a tad with h8ful8 in terms of editing and baggage and self-importance, but Django and especially Basterds are sensational movies. I think Basterds is an honest to god masterpiece, and his best film.

By Mister0079 Go To Postthat united roast on r soccer is gr8Love this one:
Unlike their rivals it is hard to accuse Man United of buying success as all they have bought recently is pathetic failure.

Maybe it'll end up being another Bonucci - Ranocchia scenario, where everyone's hyping the wrong player.
Scouts pls.
The great thing is don't even care, when I can count on Higuain, Dybala, Mandzukic and Pjaca.
Would be nice to have a young brazilian star in the team though.
Besides, these are our real bombers.

So what's Matic's situation at Chelsea?
I know Conte's working his magic on him ("you could be the best midfielder in the world"), but what's the word on the streets of Chelsea?

Apparently the final snag in the Pogba deal was that he wanted to take over from Lingard as Professor Emeritus at Dab University.

Guardian. Shoddy.
Like, one week ago he was cumming over Axel. At least nuance it by saying on loan for fucks sake. So lazy.
As well as Schweinsteiger, Adnan Januzaj, Paddy McNair, Andreas Pereira, Axel Tuanzebe and Will Keane were also absent. Their futures at Old Trafford are in doubt along with Tyler Blackett and the injured duo of Timothy Fosu-Mensah and Cameron Borthwick-Jackson.

By Zabojnik Go To PostSo what's Matic's situation at Chelsea? No idea. He's started all(?) of the pre-season games so far and the rumour was he can only leave as soon as Kante comes in. Not really sure what's happening now but we are being linked to William Carvalho (smh) a lot.

What a player he has been this year. Overtook Gabigol's as my number 1 brazilian prospect easily as i've been saying this for quite some time now.
