When it becomes clear that Boogie is not meant to run, will they abandon the experiment or will trading him become a serious consideration?
By VahagnBy giririsssFew things.
Both Dragic and Bledsoe played their best when IT was out. They both seems to perform better when they are in the game longer. Get a feel for it, have time to work on their man more, frustrate the defender even more. The heavy minutes IT gets disrupts that flow for the guys.
The offense truly looks at its best when Dragic is running point. Too often when two PG's are in, it's the other PG who runs it/handles. Bledsoe just isn't as good at creating and running as Dragic.
Because having 3 of your best players play the exact same position, and all needing the ball to be effective is a pretty predictable problem.By giririsssBledsoe hasn't been the defensive force he was known as. He's not a ball hawk, he's not frustrating opposing PG's.
Contract year effort something something.By giririsssDragic is the best PG out of all 3, and it's not that close.
Yup. But I remember hearing something from Suns Fans suggesting that Hornacek's system is tailor made for 3 PG's - which was obviously absurd to begin with. But there we go.By giririsssMarkieff looks like he'll grow into a starter. maybe a 17&7 guy. More than respectable. But he's not playing close enough to the basket. Last year he got a lot of his work done down low. This year he seems to be trying to beat everyone off the dribble from the FT line extended. Whether that's a direction Hornacek has indicated for him to go, to try and free up space for the guards, not sure. But it's messy, and as a result he's attempting a lot less FT's this year than last.
But the main killer has been a lack of effort and discipline on defense. They've been atrocious. The team being put out should be hyper athletic and all over their opponent. But the effort has been so mediocre. They let their foot off the pedal so often, they're letting teams back into games regularly.
Freshly paid players + novelty of their gimmick offense not working as effectively anymore after coaches had the summer to prep + YOUR 3 BEST PLAYERS PLAY THE SAME POSITION and regarding the bolded, that's what happens when your bigs are encouraged to be 3 point shooters. They gravitate away from the rim unless they're absolutely amazing players that can effectively balance both. Markieff is no Dirk or Kevin Love.
The 3 best players are bledsoe dragic and kieff, not bledsoe, dragic and IT. It has nothing to do with him getting paid. He and Cus spent their whole off season training, were the first back to the suns training facility, and showed up at all the summer league stuff even though they weren't playing. Kevin Love isn't Kevin Love.
No one said the system was tailor made for 3 PG's. please go find that quote. or stop making shit up.
None of which is the suns biggest problem, a lack of effort on defense.

Uh. How is a lack of effort on defense NOT related to guys getting paid? Especially when you're complaining about the effort of a guy that just got paid. You're really using "he worked out in the summer" as your argument for why the effort lacking now in December can't be blamed on a new contract?
IT is the 3rd best player, easily. He's just coming off the bench instead of starting, He's playing 6 less mpg than Markieff and sharing the ball with another ball dominant guard while he's out there and scoring the exact same amount of points His per 36 numbers are significantly better than Markieff's.
These are predictable problems. You just somehow think they don't apply in the Suns situation.
Love isn't Love this year, but that's not on him.
We should be debating whether 2014 Marc Gasol is better than Pau Gasol has ever been.

I should have known better.
so Nets want to jump into the tank race...
While reports have surfaced that the Nets want to blow up their team and trade Deron Williams, Joe Johnson and Brook Lopez, it sounds like they're more interested in making one big deal and staying competitive as they rebuild.Realistically, the only contract they could move is Deron. Lopez is pretty untradeable and JJ slightly less so.
A more logical theory is that they would trade one of their so-called Big 3, and maybe two of them, but not all three. This can be viewed as good or bad news for Nets fans, as it sounds like the team will attempt to move a big contract or two but not tank to improve their draft position.
By Theso Nets want to jump into the tank race…There is zero new information in there. We've been listening to offers for those three for weeks now, and your own quote says we're not looking to tank. Charlotte is interested in both Joe and Lopez, we're just not sure we want Lance back home.
So which of the Big Three is most likely to go? There's only been rumors of one: Brook Lopez, as reported by Adrian Wojnarowski. In that scenario, the Nets would send Lopez to Charlotte, who's always liked him, for Lance Stephenson, who the Hornets are apparently desperate to get rid of. But Tim Bontemps writes neither the rumored Stephenson deal nor any others "have gone very far." One reason: the Nets wonder whether bringing the 6'5" swingman back to his hometown would exacerbate his well-known problems. So much for untradable.
By DarkWhat the fuck are the Hornets thinking? They're probably thinking Big Al is going to bail in the offseason, or that they can trade him for a shooter.
Assuming we can get a pick and a young piece to hedge the bet, I'd do that deal for Lance.
By ForeverWhen it becomes clear that Boogie is not meant to run, will they abandon the experiment or will trading him become a serious consideration?
That's the big question. The second question is how long will it take for them to realize this and will Boogie decide he no longer wants to be here after the experiment goes awry.
It's not like Keith Smart and Paul Westphal didn't try to run with Cousins. It just frustrated Cousins and lead to losses since he was often uninvolved in the game.
It's also not just Cousins that doesn't fit the style. It's the complete lack of shooters that is a problem. Collison, McLemore and DWill fit the style. Rudy Gay can fit in as well. Outside of that, you have Reggie Evans, Ryan Hollins, Jason Thompson, Ramon Sessions, and Carl Landry.
That's on reliable shooters and guys who like to leak out. The idea is probably to leave Cousins to do all the defensive rebounding and break off of him. I am pretty sure he'll get tired of throwing outlets to guys who brick threes before he even crosses half-court.
By etiolationThat's the big question. The second question is how long will it take for them to realize this and will Boogie decide he no longer wants to be here after the experiment goes awry.I'm wondering if we could put together a package for Cousins. Plumlee is an ideal running center on a rookie contract, he'd fit what you're trying to do as well as anyone in the NBA. I'd probably be willing to give up Deron. Deron and Plumlee for Cousins? Ship Lopez to Charlotte.

I hate admitting it but it would have been interesting to see what Hayward could have done for the Hornets.

Andrew Bogut: "From what I was told it wasn't something I should be worried about, but evidently, it probably is."
Bogut is the most injury prone player I've ever seen in my fawking life. I don't understand how they can keep this guy healthy for the playoffs, a different part of his body gets injured every season. Probably gonna miss a couple weeks at minimum. Does this every fucking year

After they fired the coach that had them halfway decent for the first time since Webber left, I don't have any faith in the Kings' ownership's collective intelligence. I could see them trading Cousins for Deron for no good reason.
Nene is bringing the ball up like a point guard and Andre Miller just attempted a one handed LBJ style putback slam off a rebound in the half court.

I think he does but...way too many nice guys on the Wolves. You can tell these guys take a tough L and he, Lavine, Bennett and Ricky just go home and play Fifa while throwing back some Mike Hards or something. He needs to play with assholes that demand good play from him or take shits all over his ego. There's like nobody at all on the roster including the coaching staff with that kind of attitude for the Wolves.

You just expect a guy with his hype to already have that tiger blood shit inside, somewhere. I mean Kevin Martin went out and Wiggins' stat line didn't even fluctuate. That shocked me.
p.s. - Wall better make the ASG over Kyrie. But will he?
