At this point I am 99% brooks is kept because he is a great player development coach.... but he has no idea how to call a in game play or do lineups or anything like that.

Surely you aren't suggesting Scott Brooks doesn't know how to coach?

Far more troubling than that instantly viral interaction, whether or not you buy the explanation, is the way LeBron has so openly shown little interest in Blatt's authority so far.
On Monday, ESPN.com's Brian Windhorst and I reported that the Cavs are growing increasingly concerned about Blatt's ability to reach this team.
The whispers about LeBron tuning out in huddles or freelancing offensively, in circulation for weeks, have only grown louder since the story hit.
The volume didn't go down any, either, after James' alarmingly tepid endorsement of Blatt, when he responded to a question about the Cavs having the right coach by saying in part: "Yeah, I mean, he's our coach. What other coach do we have?"
That's the same James who didn't hesitate to announce earlier this month that he alone decided to take on more playmaking responsibilities because he's at the stage of his career where he doesn't need to ask his coach for permission. The distinct impression he leaves, with each passing day, is that he does not want to be coached. At least not by an NBA novice.
Pretty sure someone here predicted blatt would take a bullet for lebron's ego this season. Who was it?
I hope this means Mark Jackson to the Cavs. The potential ego clash between Lebron, Jackson, and Gilbert would be amazing. Plus of course I want to watch a Jackson led team play against a Kerr coached team.
Happy New Years.
Good article on Karasev and what he's brought to our starting lineup.
He's by far our youngest player so I have a lot of hope for him, but I've heard on good authority that he came to camp out of shape. That sort of thing annoys me. Mason instantly came to the league with an insane work ethic and that's part of why I was high on him from the start.
That said, Karasev didn't expect to get minutes this year after how the Cavs treated him so maybe that's why he slacked. The article says he's been working on it so we shall see.
It probably won't happen, but given his close relationship with Blatt I'm hoping we can reunite them somehow when Blatt gets fired.

By DominicanPowerIf Blatt gets fired, I bet he'll get another shot to coach some other team.
I hope he does, and with a team that is constructed to make the most of his ability.
After pining for the Wolves to be healthy all year, Kevin Martin is due back next week, but now I don't want him taking minutes from Shabazz.
By pilonv1I hope they hire mark Jackson in the next few days so when we play the cavs next Friday we run them off the floor by 25+ with a healthy Bogut in the lineup. LolBy DominicanPowerIf Blatt gets fired, I bet he'll get another shot to coach some other team.

Amar'e Stoudemire resolves to bathe in finer wine.
The Knicks forward said during training camp that occasional baths in tubs of hot red wine was "very important" to his play. Alas, the Knicks went on to have the worst start in team history.

That HGH withdrawal is a bitch
Lebron should've stayed on the HGH and just gone without Kevin Love. They could've saved so many assets and so much depth.
I want Blatt as defensive coordinator or something. Hollins is old as fuck, Blatt can take over in a couple years if he's patient.

I always thought that the Cavs were giving up too much to trade for un-guaranteed Love.
This season falling through the way it has... I mean damn. There's nothing to even build on outside of Kyrie - and he's got the mindset of a career super-beta at the moment. I'm not even sure where exactly the Cavs go from here if they continue to circle the drain like this. Getting those draft picks and then wasting them all like this is just the pinnacle of failures imo. Undisputed failure of the decade as far as sports organizations go.

What I hate is how everyone was like "well he started losing weight to improve his game" and that just cutting carbs explained why he lost so much so quickly. No one in the media questioned that especially when his biggest advantage was based on how much stronger he was than everybody else.

He couldn't, the league started testing for HGH this year. I think him leaving Miami was as much to get away from his dealers clinic in case of a scandal as anything else.
The Love trade is basically going to go down for Cleveland as Wiggins and a first for Love. Which is a pretty fair gamble to make, because LeBron is already 30, he didn't have time, despite whatever he said in his SI letter, to wait for Wiggins to figure things out.
I don't think he's played all that well offensively until the last month, maybe. If Wiggins had done that in Cleveland, there'd be just as much criticism for not trading him for superstar Kevin Love.

By dy_nastyI always thought that the Cavs were giving up too much to trade for un-guaranteed Love. They didn't just blow all their promising prospects, they mortgaged the future. They gave up two firsts and are about to give up another for Jordan Hill or some other mediocre big. They are going to be on another level of fucked.

Whether he becomes that player on the Wolves or somewhere else is a different story, but Cleveland still threw him away.

I'm also changing my mind on Bennett. I think he'll turn it around at some point. Dude's gonna be a late bloomer.
It's not just the Love trade, by the way. Cleveland got bent over a barrel clearing space for Lebron. They gave up Jarret Jack, Sergey Karasev, Tyler Zeller, and a first round pick for that. Those are all starting quality players, and two of them are still young prospects. It was a feeding frenzy.
Teams lined up like vultures to pick some meat off the corpse and I'm just glad we got a piece while it was fresh.

Nah, thats re-writing history a bit. You give up those 4 for LBJ after the last few years, every time, without question.
But Dan Gilberst cock gobling and that weak knee'd FO have bent over and given LBJ everything he wants. That 2 year contract with options is biting them in the ass big time. It's basically allowing LBJ to be the biggest diva he wants to, and shit all over anyone/everyone in that organisation.

He'll never live up to a #1 pick but he could end up as a good starter.
It's what lebron wanted. His boys couldnt really run shit in miami. Riley wasn t having it. Total control in Cleveland.

It would have been worth if for Lebron of 3 years ago, but now that he's 30 and off the HGH....sorry, I meant now that he's on his low carb diet, it's not.
