Dude. When you box out, you're taught to put a body on the closest guy to you. Plain and simple. If you don't have inside position, you try to get inside position.
This wasn't runblocking. He didn't hip check him. He properly and fundamentally boxed out. His ass went into Cousins' thighs. It looked worse than it was because He's a small boxing out a Center and Smart is a pretty strongly built guy. But every thing he did is basketball 101.

Its a system that works based on scoring from the post out and its won championships only a few years ago.... there is no way to judge how well it will work with the knicks until the knicks get a couple of inside post scorers who can pass back out if they are being crowded.
