The Clippers announcers think players don't play 44 minutes a game anymore just because of peer pressure or some shit, do these guys smoke crystal in between possessions?
Were Clippers, lets get a textbook goaltend but all whine like a bunch of bitches because were the Clippers.
Griffin gets the ball and immediately thinks, "what cheesy thing can I do to bring shame upon the NBA right now?"
Then he tries to do that thing.
Then he tries to do that thing.
Terrible offense in the last 6-7 minutes. What in the world happened there? We were getting tons of great shots off of ball movement earlier and then we just...stopped?
What the hell Favors supposed to be good for?
He projected to being elite defensive big man at rookie year, and yet he turned out into what? Above average face-up big? Jazz defense not became good with him either, wut.

so much dumb in this post
By fertygoWhat the hell Favors supposed to be good for?Favors and Hayward essentially are their offense. They aren't the biggest offenders here.

Imagine if that was Shawn Bradley's kid.
Watching sports center you would never know the Wizards doninated that game and the score was close due to a late rox run. If i didn't check the box score and this thread I would think pierce hit the game winner for a fluke win.

By etiolationCheer up, here's Cousins chilling with Plumlee after the game.
By Omzzso guess cousins has reverted back to his old self again
Can't really blame him with all the Vivek fuckery
I can't even process that the Kings ownership group has surpassed the Lakers as the Kings greatest nemesis.
But I can see that the best part of Cousins destroying Plumlee on that dunk is KG on the sidelines yelling shit and then quietly putting his hands down.

By etiolationI can't even process that the Kings ownership group has surpassed the Lakers as the Kings greatest nemesis.I'm not even sure how you move forward as a fan of the franchise. Put all the hopes on DMC developing even more next year and going prime shaq, i suppose.
Its just such a sorry state of affairs for Kings fans.
There's a fucked up logic to what management is doing.
You just have to realize that they think they own the Warriors.
"Well we traded Monta Ellis, tanked the season, and that turned out alright."
Except that move with Ellis helped the locker room. You still had a coach the team liked and a young stud in Curry who got to shine without Ellis.
The Kings are vastly different. Cousins is unguardable by anyone in the NBA, He is your meal ticket and he's now pissed. You fired his coach that he really liked. You killed a promising season. You lied to the fans about why despite those fans just going through a series of lies with a bankrupt set of owners. The locker room and chemistry has been lost. You have a lame duck coach. You have a Hall of Fame coach waiting to help you but you don't' want to do it because the owner is in love with a AA schmuck.
And you just resigned your #2 guy on the idea that the coach you fired was sticking around. Your amazing talent is calling out his team. Your defense has vanished without the defensive coach. The PG you got to replace the fan favorite came here BECAUSE OF THE COACH YOU FIRED. Your vet leadership has no placing because the coach that gave them cred is gone. Your owner has mucked up your entire franchise with childish ideas. The new media press is overjoyed that silicon valley is shitting its pants in Sacramento, You are being compared to York of the Niners and THAT IS NOT GOOD.
But it's okay because Steve Kerr worked out.
That's basically the logic despite all the incredibly meaningful differences.

LeBron James is prepared to opt out of his contract after the season if it is the right business decision, according to Chris Haynes of the Cleveland Plain Dealer.... why
James can opt out of his contract and become a free agent after the season and Haynes says the potential backlash from leaving Cleveland again won't sway his decision. In a column that examines the Cavs' frustrating start to the 2014-15 regular season, Haynes says of James, "I'm told he won't hesitate to make the appropriate business decision if it means bolting." We'll have to wait for this situation to play out…

Man, it would be devastating for that franchise if they lost LeBron and Love for nothing.
I guess that would even out their good fortune in the lottery the last 4 years.
LeBron was always going to opt out of his contract after this season. The cap is going up and he can get a lot more money from the Cavs or whoever else.

how much being on a losing team and having degraded stats would hurt his brand mostly
and yes, it will hurt
but its not going to be significant enough for him to leave, backlash would just be too much
By DarkEh, I don't know about that. The best thing he ever did for his brand was leave Cleveland for a contender. I don't see an obvious place for him (maybe the Knicks? the Raps?) but the Cavs situation is already unraveling quickly. And this isn't a Heat situation where you have a smart front office and pieces that could plausibly come together to play great.
It's really hard to see any realistic moves that result in them suddenly jumping to contender status.
By spooksLeBron leaving would be hilarious after all his talk about process and patience.I think he's remembering why he left in the first place.
Not that he hasn't been part of the problem himself. So many of the Cavs roster moves have his fingerprints all over them.
He needs to go to a franchise that has a strong, competent front office for his own good.
Toronto would be my pick.
I refuse to believe he is THAT stupid to entertain leaving unless by some miracle Cavs don't make the playoffs. He JUST DID a huge campaign to come to Cleveland, which the media/general public seemingly bought. Yeah we know he totally sold out on the "I'm gonna help nurture Andrew Wiggins and the young guys" thing but can he not understand:
1) Miami wasn't great their first 2-3 months either, although their D was much better. It's a process that can be alleviated b y getting some defensive bigs.
2) ... if he thought he was un-liked in Cleveland before.
nah I can't believe it. Cavs would have to be a train wreck for him to bolt especially since Cleveland will match any offer to the best of their ability.

I personally don't think he leaves. Cavs are still over .500, on their way to make 50 wins, and can still make it to the ECF. I'm trying to stay pretty chill about the whole thing. They have been a disappointment but there is still time. They're a new team with a rookie head coach. This shit wasn't going to be easy.
This is obviously all just table setting for Kevin Love's SI cover where he announces he's going back to play with Wiggins and Rubio and our top-5 pick.

personally I think this is all a plot to convince the cavs to get a new coach..... You go from rumors blatt lost the team to rumors lebron is willing to leave..... it makes sense that they were connected

Raps, Wiz, Bulls, and Hawks are all substantially better.

Really surprising how carefree lebron is playing this year.
Not giving any fucks on defense, though he is declining.
Cavs offense is as good as the heats offense so he can't cherry pick as often but his shot selection is a lot worse.
Turning off the ball so much
He's not even top 5 in the MVP discussion this year.

By KingGondoPlease list some defensive bigs that they could plausibly get with their assets. They aren't cheap or plentiful. If effing Samuel Dalembert played center for the Mavs last year and nearly beat the Spurs, he can play minutes for the Cavs. Joel Anthony was a center for Miami back in the day. Kyle O'Quinn is wasting away on Orlando. Defensive bigs who can block shots and board a bit are out there, you just got to look. Hell look at the D-League, Henry Sims was there and now is starting for Philly.

They could possibly flip Waiters/Thompson into something decent, but they're a long way from contending in my humble opinion.
It's not those guys job to make them contenders, it's to protect the rim/rebound/play low post D, or pick 1 or 2 of them. Example: Does Steven Adams make OKC a contender? No, that's for Durant/Westbrook/Ibaka to do. However he plays a vital role by grabbing boards, playing D and drawing techs on opposing players.
Cavs just need a body (2 really) to play 15-20 minutes a night to protect the rim and mask Kevin Love's defensive deficiencies. Doesn't have to score, doesn't have to be a rugged rebounder.

I don't know about everyone else but i'm rooting for the Hawks. I hope they go to the finals. They need some support, because they sure arent getting it from Atlanta.
