Anthony said could come a point later on this season organization advises him to do so or "fix it."

Anthony still plans to play on New Year's Eve vs. Clippers. Says three days rest usually gets him back to feeling decent.
Melo gon shut it down right when their schedule gets easier. Knicks aren't gonna win 10 games this season. I just hope we get Towns or Mudiay instead of Okafor.

He wants to make that all star game starting spot. I'm sure after that we'll see him rest a lot more.

We don't even know the fucking severity of his injury because The Knicks PR dept are being vague as fuck with this "knee soreness" diagnosis. Like wtf is making his knee sore? It would take a holiday miracle for the Raps to win that one on the road. Their perimeter D is mediocre, the Blazers seem tailor made to beat them.
By matrixFucking christ Rockets killing me here. Hard to be a Houston fan today. Was at work when the game was on and just finished the replay now. Even though I knew we lost, had a season high in turnovers and missed almost half of our free throws, I still wanted to understand how.
Fuck Cleveland and San Antonio
After watching it, I still don't understand how the difference in the end could boil down to those two bullshit turnaround buzzer beaters from Splitter and Green. We looked utterly lost on defense, and maddeningly sloppy on offense.
Why the fuck is Dorsey still getting minutes? Why are Brewer and Smith allowed to orchestrate offense? We're almost last when it comes to turnovers, and I have no idea how that'll ever improve when our roster's guards consists entirely of 2-guards and a guy who happens to defend point guards but can't run offense. Ugh.
By pilonv1Sort of excited for Wiz/Rockets tomorrow. They'll probably crush us if today was anything to go by.

By KingGondoBy BranduilGutty win by the Mavs without a single legit NBA center and no Monta at the end.Nor do they win if KD plays.
One thing's for sure, no way does Dallas win that game with Jameer Nelson defending Westbrook.
Royce Young is making good points on Twitter about the Thunder completely ignoring Ibaka in crunch time in close games.
He's an excellent offensive player and would relieve so much pressure… gah.
We're still gonna be fine, but it's depressing that we only have one really good win this season, against SA on the road.
That wasn't even that great of a win either. Durant was out. So was Kawhi, Boris Diaw, Patty Mills, and Tony Parker basically (based on the parts of the game I saw, due was obviously hobbled from his hamstring injury. Dude hasn't even played since that game)
I don't think we've seen either team play with their team yet right?
By obijkenobiWe've been at full strength for about 10 games, and we (predictably) steamrolled people. Hopefully KD returns on Wednesday and we can go on a run during a tough schedule in January. Only 4 home games and road games against the Wiz, Warriors, Kings, Rox, Hawks, and Grizz.
If we can get to February above .500 then we have a chance to really climb the standings the rest of the season.

Another reason why the "8 seed is the best OKC can do" stuff from a few weeks back was bonkers. Pop isn't going to risk any of his starters' playoff time to chase home court in the first round. Spurs' championship aspirations are porcelain fragile right now.

There is a growing level of worry within the Cleveland Cavaliers' organization about first-year coach David Blatt and his ability to reach the team, according to league sources.
Sources told ESPN.com that there is rising concern in team circles about the level of response Blatt is getting on the floor, with Blatt himself acknowledging that the Cavaliers "lost our energy and we lost our competitiveness" in Sunday night's embarrassing home loss to Detroit.
I'm shocked.
I was never a fan of Trestman. I remember when he first came to the Bears and we was compared to Thibs only on the offense side. At least Thibs is well respected and listened to.
Blatt wasn't the right choice but that team has a lot more to deal with than the Miami teams in terms of egos. Spo had Wade and Riley there to keep people in line. For all the success Bron had, people forget he's not a leader. He's a tremendous player that lead by example with his play, but in regards to circling the wagon, that was all Wade.
Now with LeBron having to play that role in Cleveland without anyone else there really, not even anyone in management with any kudos--it's going to be a tough time.
The lack of leadership will be hard to fix. There are very few people even alive that are qualified to keep LeBron and the rest humble.

It's really hard to try on defense when you know you don't have a chance of stopping the other team. Without Varejao they have no chance of stopping the other team.
It's obvious that Blatt can coach and knows basketball. The roster is simply highly deficient in certain key areas, and now that Varejao contract is a huge albatross if they want to improve.
It'll be *very* interesting to see what happens with Love in the offseason. He'll be the next scapegoat (as Zach Lowe suggested) and if it's apparent they aren't winning shit in Cleveland I wonder if he'll take his talents elsewhere (especially since Bron will be getting the designated 5-year deal).

The Mavs are also a vastly different culture than the Cavs. The Mavs have been good consistently for over a decade (including winning a chip under Carlisle) while the Cavs have been a joke since LeBron left.
When things are going poorly and you're the Mavs, it's a blip and "we'll bounce back."

Thing with contemporary NBA is that...honestly, league is good as fuck. It's better than its ever been in regards to talent. And with analytics being added in its even harder. Its harder than its ever been in many aspects.
And for that reason, you can only have so many one way players. If you pay a one way player the max, he had better be unbelievable at that one thing. Cavs are going to have two of their three foundational pieces being one way players.

Their interior defense is going to continue to be an issue, and that's so, so important in today's league. And rim protectors don't come cheap.
Ibaka is a very flawed player but he's well worth the $12 million he makes.
Speaking of General Manager Lebron why is no one calling him out yet?
1. Kept Waiters.
2. Extended Varejao.
3. Traded years of #assets for Kevin Love.
4. About to fire Blatt.

I mean how about this?
Irving
Karasev
Wiggins
Lebron
Zeller
They could have run that lineup using nothing but their own draft picks. Probably not a true contender, but better than what they have now, and it would improve over time without doing anything. They'd have plenty of assets to trade and adjust as necessary. And Lebron wouldn't have had to ditch the HGH to make room for Love.

Yeah, he's going to give you spacing (in theory) out to the 3pt line. But he's much worse defensively. And half of OKC's defensive scheme is "Athleticism". Something Love has never provided.

I remember proposing a YNB for Kyrie trade a couple seasons ago and Best-GAF laughed me out of the thread.
Now I could realistically propose YNB and Ibaka for Kyrie and Love and I think Cleveland says yes every time.
