Ended up playing two games as Torbjorn tonight because a teammate tried to troll me with an asshole hero select, so I had to take it one step further..or so I thought.
4 gold medals on the attacking side of watchpoint gibraltor and 3 on the defending side + a play of the game. His turret needs a buff, that shit is ass. Was fun using him though, at least I got to use one of the few legendary skins I have

TorBjorn is great against most squishy heroes with his lvl 2 turret.
Genji wrecking stuff? No prob.
Tracer roaming around? No Prob.
To bad the dwarf instadies to anything tougher than wet paper.

like, 9 times out of ten you'd be better off with pharrah than most offensive heroes
You need a range/anti sniper to help take out opposing pharrahs, encamped bastions, and other snipers
But other than that a good chunk of the heroes don't even have weapons that can reliably take her down. There's nearly no reason to choose a hero like Reaper over a Pharrah for example--one is going to stay living in the respawn que at worst and at best a good reaper is not as efficient as pharrah can be offensively.

Reaper and McCree both kill tanks much faster than Pharrah. You would still want to have a Pharrah on the team just to make the opponent think vertical when defending themselves, though.

McRee yes, but Reaper really has to pull a lot out of his ass to kill competent tanks because he's too squishy--and people are starting to learn how to better deal with McRees as well.
Reaper is a flanker. He's stronger on corridor maps like Kings row where he can get behind the enemy front line and do damage. Pharah unfortunately has a hard counter in one of the most popular heroes in widowmaker, so she has a tough go of things.
Right, problem is you take a shot from a Reaper as a tank and immediately hook/drop a shield/etc as a tank and then chase and kill the Reaper after his shade step. He could use a better burst damage attack not unlike McRee's fanfire to be better imo.
Randomly hopped on OW PS4 yesterday and got matched up with a random who used his mic. Then got invited into one of his friends squads and everyone had mics. Immediately unlocked like 6+ trophies and won quite a few games. Communication makes a huge difference here.
By Dipro Go To Postwait Lucio can wall run?
i played maybe 10 minutes with, didn't know that.
his mobility is really high. that's his whole game.

if you get the drop on a tank as a reaper, they're dying more often than not. only one who could maybe recover is roadhog, and that's only because of his hook.
my mcree is ass and the only game i've lost was against 2 winstons and a DVa. they would all jump/fly at me at the same time. mcree fucks up tanks, but not 3 of them at the same time
seems to be the only way to counter him. send the whole team at him because fan the hammer only has 6 shots

By DY_nasty Go To Postpeople keep saying d.va needs a buffShe is not a tank. More of an assassin, but kind of limited with that and her utility is weak, too. Hard to find a productive role for her on higher-level teams. Needs to have more of a focus to be useful.
im just… k. she's already a beast but aite
McCree's low health pool is the biggest weakness against him. Any character that can deal splash damage is a potent threat against him.
Lucio is my most played hero and probably the one I am least good at. I still haven't even attempted a wall ride outside of no-pressure situations.
Played some matches as Zenyatta and have a good handle on him. I can actually heal somewhat decent as him, too.
Also, figuring out how to play Winston and Tracer (their intended playstyles are pretty similar) felt good. Still need to work on my Zarya and still have never really played as Widowmaker or Genji.
I'm getting there.

Yea, outside of her ult, I have no idea what to do with D.Va.. Go in, cause a ruckus and leave? Winston does that and doesn't sacrifice mobility doing it. Kill the Mercy and bounce? Genji is fast enough not to die from being focused down.
I dunno. Her kit needs work if she's supposed to assassinate people. I feel like I end up doing more damage when she's not in her mech.
Finally clicked on how to play Hanzo. The jokes are right. You place the dot at head level and left click: no aim required. I did better when I wasn't trying. Anor Londo Archer arrows are real af.

Been taking a brief break from the game to get some other stuff done before the next WoW expansion hits, but I'm fixing to hit it hard. Ya'll should invite me if you're on

I think experience in something like league of legends makes her feel more comfortable. Mobility is what makes her so good.

there's a post on reddit where GameSpot turned all the settings on low in the PC version to show how the PS4 version looks better lmao
Ok reaper is super fun on the right maps I admit
Was on the sand map on defense and the feel of dropping in the middle of a crowd and dropping the ult is one of the best feelings ever
He's legit ass on attack Hollywood though... No where to creep by

Played 6 or 7 games tonight and got 5 POTGs. Got rewarded with Thunderbird Pharah skin. Thanks Blizzard
I have like 3 legendaries, but at least they're the ones I like. I'd be mad if they gave me some shit like scavenger D. Va or mass effect Symmetra

I'm not a huge fan of playing as 76, but man he is so so so good at an Offensive hero that can push the line with the tank and healers. They need another Offensive hero like that. Even McRee's not as good at that since he doesn't have sprint or heals and his ult benefits from surprise.

She's great if you have a mercy because unlike a reinhardt, she's always taking damage, so you charge your ulti a lot faster. But has great mobility so she can be in / out/ pin/ clear a point.
Roadhog is way too dependant on hitting hooks.
Winstons are also good, but good Winstons are truly hard to find.
D.Va is good on King of the hill but that's it. and even then if the enemy team runs certain heroes you're gonna have a bad time
She can't play her game on any of the linear maps, unless the other team plays the like 3 squishy heroes that don't counter her exclusively.
I don't know about nerfs or buffs this early in the game, but D.Va is definitely in the running for one of the worst heroes. She's the worst at her role at the very least.
76 is probably the most stable pick in the game next to Reinhard. They feel like the two most balanced heroes to me.

I personally love having a D.Va on my team as mercy, along with a pharah. Because it means we can get vertical. And that ruins a lot of people.
I will say, it can be very rough if you're the ONLY tanky hero on the team. You do need some more meat besides a D.Va.
She could use a slight buff though. People have become very good at dealing with her ult (i.e. moving behind a wall) basically nullifying it.

How so? Like my bottom 3 heroes in the game are D.Va, Mei and Hanzo because I feel their kits don't synergize with any other hero. Like they don't really contribute to any team they're on.
I think people can do well with them and you could make an argument for their individual strength, but I don't feel like they make any team stronger by being on it, or are made stronger by teaming with any other heroes. Nor do they have any real maps or game modes where they're exceptionally strong picks. Sort of like Pharah on Gibraltar.
I would rather have a good Genji than an equally skilled D.Va. He can also get vertical and does the same things D.Va can, but more often and more reliably.

Yeah Genji, Symmetra Mercy combo is really strong
Genji and Tracer in the right hands are pretty ridiculous lol. I think they're the only Heroes in the game that have gotten other Heroes nerfed for making them too good.
Really, really loving this game.
It makes playing in a support role (e.g., usually Mercy in my case) legitimately fun.
Really pisses me off when you play as Mercy and can't get ANYONE to watch your back, though. Also when you play as Mercy and nobody votes for you at the end even though you kept all of their dumb asses alive the whole goddamn match.

:wow:
lmao. I need to start figuring out more sneaky shit like that to do.
Volskaya Industries has an obvious flank that nobody really pays attention to. Flying left from spawn with Pharah and then crouch walking into the building and up the stairs, is a good way of catching people off guard. Even better when you have the Ult ready. Having a pocket Mercy is enough to disrupt everything without it.
