By LFMartins86 Go To PostWhile it´s true that you have no CL, many players would love a chance to work with Mourinho.I think anyone serious and not a merc would think twice, possible still but a year out of the CL Is a big thing for top top players, hard league aswell, squad needs ALOT of work. As it stands I dont think this team can get top 4 with Mou next year, I think the project still needs some selling.

Chelsea, United and City are all strengthening their squads heavily, Tottenham have a great squad already and are making some adjustments, Arsenal are Arsenal, Klopp will have a full pre-season with Liverpool and the ability to reshape the squad to his liking and then you have Leicester who are still riding high from their league triumph.

Only now I've realized Thiago Silva and Marcelo have been left out of the Brazil squad, Dunga is nuts

Mourinho knows what he is doing. There is no way in hell that he is just looking to "strengthen" the first XI by only signing two or three players.
I would wager anything on him not wanting a repeat of either his or United's last season(s).
Gunning for the title.
By rvy Go To PostCongrats to my bros Madrid-SLAENT.<3
I dont know who or what made Casemiro such a huge player.
Believe me, at São Paulo (his first club) he was average, sometimes good, others really mediocre. Brazilian press laughed their asses off when fucking Madrid went for him (he actually went for Madrid B first). Than he was loaned to Porto, performed well there and then became such an influential player at Madrid.
Whoever did the job on him, did a tremendous work. The boy is so composed at the moment. Such a modern cm player.
Dunga you fucking cum stain pls let him play for us.

By n8 Go To PostModric was stupendous again tonight. He and Casemiro, woofAbsolutely.
Both were incredible. Having a true dedicated CDM does wonders for our midfield.
The cover he gave the defense really allowed our Fullbacks the freedom to press high
By Phlebas Go To PostM8 pls.he was pretty shit tbf
It's been obvious he's been regressing for awhile.
Never out right hated him, just thought it was time to hang up the boots as he obviously couldn't cut it any longer.
I admit to being more of a cunt towards him than he deserved though.
Always gave his all on the pitch
By Cleff Go To PostUnited has no real need for Ibrahimovic. We sucked against small teams, Ibra can be great against them and having Ibra in training, with his mentality can help us prepare so much better for matches.
If Castles is to be believed, and much to my horror he may actually have the inside track with United, then we're not looking to make broad changes in the squad this summer, but rather three aignings that'll strengthen the starting 11.
Those are good reasons.
By Francis Go To PostThe squad does need lots of work but it is also bound to go through a revamp during the summer.I think you have to be realistic, this is one window, lots of our players are under heavy contracts, you cant just ship them out because, frankly, aint alot of people going to pay them what they are on and alot of them arent going to go. Secondly most managers give players a chance to prove themselves, Moyes did it, LvG did it, so its unlikely many will be shipped before pre-season, made worse by the fact some will come back late from the Euro's.

I can totally foresee a scenario where we start the first game with a team that looks very similar to one that ended the season with 1 maybe 2 changes.
Which could be fine, if Mou can get more out of them.
I don't know much about the Brazil NT Pele, but why does Dunga keep getting the pass from the Brazilian FA.
He's obviously not getting much done with the players he has, and arguably could do much better.

Think Mourinho has the obligation of, at least, reaching top 4 next season.
By Pele.gif Go To PostThink Mourinho has the obligation of, at least, reaching top 4 next season.I think if he doesnt he will likely be fired, I think if we dont have that clause in our managers contracts by now then we should because it would end this nonsense end of season dance about their futures.
By Zabojnik Go To PostCremino, who do you want us to sign for the midfield / attack?Kovacic probably going to Milan :(

Dunga is subservient to CBF. Brazilian managers in general are crap, the only one who could be gr8 didnt want to leave his club for the seleção exaclty because of how you have to act within CBF and their manners.
CBF wont sign a foreign manager too.
We are basically fucked and can only rely on our players basically doing the job by themselves. Right now our players cant do that, they need a good manager to train them, but we have Dunga instead, for the fucking SECOND TIME.
CBF are the worst organization in football.

Who was Casemiros manager at Real B? Zidane?
Tottenham could make a move for 25-year-old Barcelona defender Marc Bartra, who would be available for £6.4m because of a release clause in his contract. (Sport, via Daily Express Online)
Do it Scum. I want to laugh all season long.
What a time.
All those players that already got cramps and muscle problems throughout the last two weeks, and with nearly 50+ games this season will play the Euros in 12 days.
Thanks to Olympia it's even earlier, whoever thought it was a good idea.

was he really that bad before in brazil? or was he out of position?
By Gurthang Go To PostKovacic probably going to Milan :(Eh, never rated him.
Capable of some real gems, but otherwise anonymous for the better part of the season, disappears in big games.
Seems to have the personality of a deflated balloon, also. The mark of Inter is still strong on him.

Del Bosque and Low aren't tactical geniuses or innovators or anything like that, they just happen to be fortunate enough to have NTs where a lot of players play together in some of the best managed teams in the World. Their greatest merit is letting the players continue to play the same way.

By Zabojnik Go To PostCremino, who do you want us to sign for the midfield / attack?Wouldn't change anything in attack, I would like we buy either Isco or James Rodriguez and one of them will definitely leave Madrid and a maybe a CM to cover for Marchisio

Mourinho is a born winner that will never settle and his ambition will always be to reach big titles - something which isn't possible with todays squad.
While it may not be feasible to chuck half the team into the bin at once, I'd bet on him bringing enough reinforcements to complete the mission regardless of how many that get sold or not in the end.
Besides, I doubt that he has been sitting and twiddling his thumbs for the last seven months. His plans are more than likely laid out already.

Of course national managers have less time to train but they need to do it. Look at what Sampaoli did at Chile, look how bad they look now.
There was a lot of tactics and training on that side, i garantee you.
When you have a lot of talent you dont need a world class manager like i said earlier (and you just did it too), but when you dont you definitely need a decent manager to command.
By Francis Go To PostI believe that I'm being rather realistic considering what he is actually like.I just cant see a huge turnover, I dont think he would want to rip apart the squad and create a new one, that is a monumental task for one window in the midst of a euros/olympics.

If I was to wager 4 signings and maybe 2-3 out, which depends on your definition might be alot but its about par for me.
Its really hard to buy players and its very hard to shift ones that dont want to leave and no-one wants to buy.
