I mean as bad as this team was it still won 41 games, new coach and we have room for two max guys. Need someone who can rebound, KD is a pipe dream.

WOJ BOMB
JB Bickerstaff had impossible job: Interim where two stars hated each other -- and brought it onto court. He can be a good NBA head coach.
Players knew Bickerstaff was an interim -- and that Rockets will go big-game hunting on market. Houston's search starts with Jeff Van Gundy.

Bullshit, the clashing of James and Dwight I'm sure was real but that dude made awful in game decisions. He's flat out a bad coach, now he's young and can get better in a better situation but he's awful at rotations, game planning, x and o stuff

James Harden is a great player, I think the olympics and a new coach will only help more. He absolutely needs to be better defensively but he's a great offensive player that makes life easier for his teammates. he was 6th in assists as a 2 guard with shit on the outside for help. A defensive minded coach and player that rebounds will do wonders for this team.
Man Morey really fucked that team with the Lawson trade. Though this probably would have happened eventually anyway. He's gonna be the poster child for why building a team based solely on analytics leads to disaster.
Honestly Blazer fans would have lacked a lot of salt if the PR about practically retiring here would have never been uttered.

By The Frankman Go To PostLillard heating up and Clips going cold on the O.Went to bed at end of third because I was tired, but, yeah. :(
I dunno if i want the heat to win the next two games or just lose already. They're going to lose eventually anyway and it's really annoying to watch them fuck up so hard so often as they have in this series
Howard is not expected to have a role. It's expected that he will become a free agent and seek a new team. Orlando, Milwaukee, Portland and Charlotte are the favorites.

I usually like to read the agony of opposing fanbases, but I'm kind of scared to go to clutchfans right now
By Freedom = $1.05 Go To Postbut why would charlotte want someone worse than big al? for that, you keep big al.
I mean they offered up Hawes and Big Al for Dwight at the trade deadline, so one would think they like Dwight more than Al.
In an article primarily about how Doc no longer has his mom to rely on (she passed away last year), I found this tidbit about how he was hardly there for his own children: http://espn.go.com/blog/los-angeles/clippers/post/_/id/8096/doc-rivers-stays-strong-in-eye-of-clippers-storm
[…]
When Doc, in need of a back-up point guard, traded for Austin midway through last season, it was easy to point to nepotism, but the truth is Austin and Doc have never really had a true father-and-son relationship. While Doc was coaching the Boston Celtics from 2004 to 2013, Austin was growing up in Winter Park, Florida, going to Duke and getting drafted by New Orleans. The two of them have probably spent more time together over the past year and half than Austin can remember. The closest they ever actually got to having a father-son relationship was when they would visit Bettye together.
“He doesn’t really share his life outside of basketball with me,” Austin said. “He and I don’t know each other like that. We know each other as strictly basketball. A lot of people on the outside don’t understand that because people think we have a relationship like every other father and son. We just don’t. That’s because he’s been gone my whole life, and that’s fine.
"It’s worked out for the both of us. But the one person he could always really be with was his mom. That’s the toughest thing I’ve ever seen him go through; more than the Sterling stuff and even when his dad passed away. His mom was everything to him. I’ve never seen him like that.”

Blazers weren't supposed to be a winning team and now will be a 2nd round playoff exit. That's pretty awesome for them.
Jason Terry "calling out" Harden's leadership:
“That’s going to happen,” Terry said regarding distractions. “I’ve been around this thing a long time. You will be faced with all types of adversities and how you come through those is a sign of the type of team you have. Our team was just not strong enough mentally to get through those adversities and learn. A lesson for [Harden] as a star of a team, you have to deal with certain issues and still be able to be mentally tough to bring your level of play up with your team and get them to where you want them to go. It happens.”

Jason Terry, the man who guaranteed a victory in Game 5, missed all seven of his shots.
On that note, what's the biggest average negative PPG differential in the playoffs? This Warriors/Rockets series gotta be up there, right?
