By Method Go To PostKlays 35 foot shot was so fucking stupid. Still wondering what the fuck he was thinking.
He saw the game clock at 31 seconds and thought that if he fired away right then, the Warriors would get a 2 for 1.
He basically forgot how long it takes shots to travel and rebound.

Bev has hurt a star every year almost
"I had a talk with Stan today, and so I'll leave it at that," Van Gundy said during Thursday's media availability. "I told him what I thought about his comments and everything. That's a discussion that we had today."
Van Gundy admitted that he cringed a little when he first saw them.
"Well, look, you do [cringe] a little bit," he said. "But you also, you have to realize he's a 19-year-old kid going through this for the first time. You get him right after a game like that, and he's frustrated and all of that. We met, we talked. He knows how I feel, what my concerns are, but it wasn't a – at least I hope he didn't take – it wasn't an anger session. It wasn't a 'you're an a–h— type of thing.' It wasn't. It's just another learning experience for a 19-year-old kid."

They're still mad at the Jazz for choking away the 8 seed.

Spurs just had 32 and 26 point victories while their starters played half a game.
They are also a vastly superior team to the Heat.

I still can't get over Houston inbounding the ball right to a GS player that led to a fast break layup. And then again passing back towards their rim and being 3 inches away from a Livingston steal and layup.
That plus the lack of celebration after harden's shot tells me that these guys are trying to lose on purpose and Harden's the only one who wanted to win that game*.
*I mean, not bad enough to actually put effort on defense though

They just committed a hilariously dumb TO to give GS the lead. On top of that they know there's still 2.7 seconds left on the clock. That is an eternity with Klay quick ass release.
I mean...I basically had the same reaction as them. I told my wife that pass was dumb as fucking shit and yeah he made the shot, but there's still time left. A lot of time. I wasn't all that excited about the harden shot because of it.
I just wasn't on TV but I was furious at that inbounds "pass" and score.
It's incredible that I was impressed with Hou not calling a timeout. Then I realized they didn't have one...

The theory that the Rockets bench wasn't celebrating Harden's bucket because they remember Dame's 0.9s game winner is 😂

Not a fan of the weird airbrushings that make them look like a bad tattoo or something painted on a car.
By Rob Go To PostHe deserves it, unlike Crawford and his 6MotY.
There’s no rational explanation for how well the Miami HEAT are shooting against the Charlotte Hornets. But let’s try anyway.
First, they put up the single most efficient offensive game in franchise history in Game 1, scoring 1.42 points per possession. A great performance, but one ripe for a visit from the Regression Fairy. But instead of coming out in Game 2 shooting like, you know, a normal basketball team, they shoot 74.4 percent in the first half. Through the first two games of any playoff series in any round, the HEAT have the highest effective field-goal percentage (63.4). Ever.
It’s natural that, in today’s Age of Sports Math, we eventually react to abnormal shooting performances like this with a, ‘Well, they can’t possibly keep this up.’ And that’s fair. If the HEAT continue like this over the course of an entire series, they’re essentially denying gravity its purpose.
“I know and understand that this is fool’s gold,” Joe Johnson said.
We just can’t penalize them for it. Erik Spoelstra’s team isn’t destined for one of the worst shooting nights ever as some sort of comeuppance. They could score at an average rate in Charlotte or fall somewhere on either side of the spectrum. They just can’t expect to continue shooting this well. You have to be able to win in other ways

Not only are you laughing because the theory is dumb but it means people still legit shook from that occurrence.
As awesome as close games with pivotal moments are to watch as a competitor you shouldn't be letting one shot and or call by the refs dictate your win/loss.
Detroit needs to give Steve Nash a blank check then lock him and Drummond into a facility this entire offseason
