By reilo Go To PostKD's D on Curry on the PnR the entire series has been amazing. It really showed the first four games especially. KD has also been able to hold his own against Draymond when he runs point-forward, something other players Durant's size have been incapable of doing.
Seriously. He has bothered Curry so much in the paint. Curry won't even take a shot against him in the paint anymore.
By DY_nasty Go To PostKd isn't the factor, its the bigs
No, it's that they can GO big. Playing a 6'11" guy at SF, 6'11" at PF and 7'0" at C.
That's genuinely massive.
Likewise they can go super small with Durant at PF and Ibaka at C and have a super quick rotating front court.
By reilo Go To PostLikewise they can go super small with Durant at PF and Ibaka at C and have a super quick rotating front court.Yeah. OKC were dictating the lineups / rotations the first few games. Because Adam's was scoring and Ibaka found some form.
GSW are bouncing back with Bogut on the floor again. He's so ridiculously important to that team.
For the first time in a while, GSW are having to play 5 guys who HAVE to be guarded. They can't play someone who you can sag off of. Because OKC's rotations are just way too fast. With Bogut on the floor you have to respect his touch around the rim, and his passing / play making. With ezeli you don't.
Bogut finally realizing he was a #1 pick for a reason, and he needs to utilize his versatility on both ends.
One thing the Thunder have done well is stay home on Curry...they didn't let Curry suck them into his gravity and that's huge
They took Curry's three away for the most part and made him drive and attempt tough two pointers, which basically no team has been able to execute consistently. Even then, it looks like the Thunder are starting to lose that battle.

Even then, it looks like the Thunder are starting to lose that battle.Curry is starting to find his shot again, which is huge. But GSW are starting to be just ever so slightly more patient, and looking for one more pass.
But yeah, OKC's defense has been really impressive. And i think they're the only team in the league that has the athleticism to really pull this type of D off.
I don't expect us to win tomorrow, but we absolutely have a chance. I don't think it'll be a blowout. We have some matchups we can exploit.
But for the love of god, Donovan needs to have ***** **** hack Ezeli or Bogut and not Roberson. Foul trouble killed us in both games 5 and 6.

Or, if you going to do hack-a, might as well bring Anthony Morrow into the game and give him some minutes and have him use his fouls.
well it isn't against the rules, but going into a game 7 with a hack-a- player gameplan makes me sad
By KingGondo Go To PostI don't expect us to win tomorrow, but we absolutely have a chance. I don't think it'll be a blowout. We have some matchups we can exploit.Foul trouble comes with the level of aggression OKC are playing with on D though. Don't think you'll be able to avoid it.

There was only one silly foul each for both Roberson and Adams.
Though it was a weirdly ref'd game. They seemed to be content calling anything / everything on Adams and Draymond in the paint, but not calling the others in the paint very much.
Then they were calling plenty of stuff out on the 3pt line. Was really weird to watch.

The abomination that was OKC's offense last night in the 4th quarter.

By IWMTB19 Go To PostThe abomination that was OKC's offense last night in the 4th quarter.Again, they stopped trusting others in the 4th quarter and it reverted into classic OKC ball: all Durant and Westbrook. Which is not how they got that lead... I mean look at some of those possessions, Roberson/Waiters are pretty open.

Like I said last night, these playoffs will be a valuable lesson: trust your teammates. If you play the right way things tend to go well for you.
Your teammates are in the NBA for a reason.
I guess the nice thing about tomorrow night is that we have nothing to lose and GSW has to feel like they've got the series won already. If we put a bit of doubt in their minds by keeping it close we might shock the world.

to whom? will we see Based God's curse in action for the final time this season? tune in next time, on DRAGON BALL Z
I still don't think KD has been some huge improvement on D regarding Curry. Curry owns the first man - doesn't matter who it is. We saw that with Kawhi who's arguably the best in the league. Its the second man and the awareness of the other 3 guys on the court. Steven Adams has been outsstanding in that regard. He's showing off the same mobility that TT did in the finals last year on top of bodying Bogut and Green on the glass.
Ibaka is great at covering spaces too, even if he's trash manned up.

What is the basketball equivalent of this.

Sheed was way more talented but way crazier... the point was a long player who should be good inside on both sides of the floor but fell in love with 3s and weakside blocks
By blackace Go To PostSheed was way more talented but way crazier… the point was a long player who should be good inside on both sides of the floor but fell in love with 3s and weakside blocksI mean yeah I dig that but you could never completely ignore Sheed on offense. Dude was never a feature scorer on a great team or anything but ignored the way Ibaka is regularly? Never. He'd give you 30 and talk shit to an opposing bench like they should know better. Plus he was a damned good 1 on 1 defender down low. Ibaka been trash isolated low.
This gen's sheed is probably Horford - just wildly misused and under appreciated in Atlanta.

Foster on tap tonight, GS is as good as dead. Taking OKC Spread and the under.

via covers:
Foster is projected to work game 7, bad news for GS.
Playoff games over the last two seasons: 34
Playoff games with Scott Foster: 8
Record without Scott Foster: 21-5
Record with Scott Foster: 4-4
Point differential without Scott Foster: +9.5
Point differential with Scott Foster: +2
2 of the 4 GS wins with Scott Foster are Curry's buzzer beater vs Pelicans last year in that crazy 4th quarter comeback and the Curry 17 point over time game at Portland.

Warriors-OKC Game 7 officials: Danny Crawford, Mike Callahan, Jason Phillips.
When the ref assignments are that big of a factor you know you have a problem. Don't know that Silver can do anything to fix it though.
By Dark PhaZe Go To PostWould love to see more shots for Adams. GS can't fuck with him. Also Ibaka. His shooting kept us in game 5.

Maybe he should actually address it with the refs. It seems like this isn't discussed and has gone unchecked . Yes the refs are very visible, as much as the players, that however doesn't mean they need to be personalities and then influence games because of who they've been made to be in the media.
Free Doritos Locos Tacos when a team wins a road game in the finals
Taco Bell partners with the National Basket Association (NBA) for the "Steal a Game, Steal a Taco" promotion during the NBA Finals, where Taco Bell will give out free Doritos Locos Tacos for a day if/when a team wins ("steals") a road game in the NBA Finals.
Practically speaking, they're almost certain to be be giving away free tacos (only once has all seven games of the NBA Finals been won by the home team), the only question is when:
If the road team wins Game 1, 2, or 3, participating Taco Bell locations will be giving out free Doritos Locos Tacos (one per person) on Wednesday, June 15, 2016, from 2 PM to 6 PM (local time).
If the road team wins Game 4, 5, 6, or 7, participating Taco Bell restaurants will give out free Doritos Locos Tacos on Tuesday, June 21, from 2 PM to 6 PM.
The freebie only applies to the first road win so they won't be giving out tacos on multiple days.
