By reilo Go To PostGSW should feel good winning a game where Durant and YNB had 70 combined points.
By vic Go To PostThat's a wrap. GS still in trouble since their best players can't seem to be able go nuclear. He had 31pts on 20fga??? Warriors won this game despite YNB and Durant combining for 71pts.

If the Dubs fully accept that they'll have to win without making a lot a 3s like tonight and mold their gameplan around that, it might be a series changer, if it works.

By HasphatsAnts Go To PostToo much Kanter at the start of the 4th quarter. That's what killed the game for the Thunder.Lots of things killed it for us. Lopsided calls against us in the 1st quarter, especially the 2 against Adams that allowed Bogut to roam freely and control the glass.
The resulting lack of space inside was a killer. Too much fouling in general. Allowed too many offensive boards and 50/50 balls to go their way.
Too much iso-ball and too many turnovers when we tried to pass. Shoddy execution in the 4th, especially down the stretch. Still, if KD hits that 3 after Russ's offensive board we're only down 3 with 40 seconds left.
Still expect us to win on Saturday but man the stress is real.

68-67 lead by the third quarter. Had every chance to seal the game up to that point.
That four minute stretch killed the game, no way around that.

If we lose the series that stretch could be the difference. Our place has become a fortress though.
The other thing that's being overlooked is Bogut's impact... sure Adams got into foul trouble and it helped but Bogut looked more active and dominated with 15/14 and some nice passing. That kind of impact hasn't been there the series...
By Apollo Go To PostThe 7 to 0 foul run at the beginning of the game is what hurt okc.yup, the officiating heavilly favored the warriors in the first half. It set the tone on how OKC played.
yet they were always within striking distance.

We have to force the refs' hands early in the game by driving to the rim and getting their bigs in foul trouble. They felt more aggressive tonight.
Also, Billy gonna get fined for complaining about the officiating. It was bad early but we still had a chance later in the game. They only shot 10 more FTs than us.

That kind of impact hasn't been there the series…Bogut will be huge in game 6. All depends on if refs wanna give two shit fouls to get him off the floor like they did in game 3 and 4 and like they did to Adams today. I hate that refs have so much control lol
I can't imagine Bogut playing as well as he did tonight on saturday.
Either that or the Thunder will know what it feels like to get pooped on by Kendrick Perkins and Serge Ibaka going perfect from the floor.

Holy shit Charles threatened to slap the hell out of Ernie like the old days.
By HasphatsAnts Go To PostI can't imagine Bogut playing as well as he did tonight on saturday.See that's the thing. I think it's been proven Adams can play like how Bogut played tonight any time as long as he doesn't get in foul trouble/stays healty. I don't think Bogut can reproduce what he did tonight though... so that means Dray or another big has to come up with that impact.

what world are you from?
GSW did most of the adjustments I mentioned. They went to a more traditional defense and played big and crashed the boards, which is what I argued for.
I have two issues still, though.
1. They tried to play too fast in the 3rd quarter again. Failed badly. They need to stop trying to create transition plays when they aren't there like against most teams. Not against OKC. When they slowed down, they succeeded.
2. That horrible lineup with no Draymond, Klay, or Steph. This is playing with fucking fire. They got suuuuuuper lucky tonight that to start the 4th it somehow worked. Speights will not have this game in OKC. Steph or Klay better be on the court in game 6 all the time.
I feel like Adams 2 early fouls really hurt OKC to start the game. And sorry Gondo, those 2 fouls were legit and Adams being dumb. The rest of the 1st quarter calls went GSW's way but that's to be expected. I thought by the end of the night it mostly evened out, however.
I think the way game 5 went is both a good sign for GSW and also a bad sign. On the good side, I think they mostly shut down the other players and forced WB and KD to do everything. They weren't that efficient and I feel like the other players made shots at a higher rate than they should have given the looks (Roberson hitting 2 3s again and Morrow's shots were 100% bullshit). But on the other side, while GSW led most of the game, you kept feeling like they were 2 or 3 plays away from letting the game slip away. They sort of controlled the game but they weren't completely in control, which doesn't bode well.
In OKC, I think Curry and Klay have to score a lot and be efficient. They can't expect all those points from Bogut again. You also have to worry that Ibaka and Adams will get more looks.
I didn't see anything tonight that says "yeah, GSW are back and will definitely take game 6." OKC never let the game slip away until the very end and that's good for them, considering the circumstances. Advantage OKC but of course, never count out a team that wins 73 games!
As I said earlier, this series will come down to game 6. And now we're there!

I want OKC in the finals because i think it'll be a more competitive series than GSW vs Cavs. Also, i love how the haters have come out for GSW, i love seeing that level of salt and miss it from the heatle days lol
