By Dark PhaZe Go To PostIntent doesn't even matter–acting recklessly with your body is dumb as shit and dangerousThis is something a lot of people gloss over. I'm glad it was at least briefly mentioned by the TNT guys.

By blackace Go To PostIntent matters a lot…Not really when it comes to dangerous plays. You make intent not matter and that stops the decisions that lead to dangerous situations. You keep intent and there is still plausible deniability and players keep engaging in potentially dangerous actions.
By blackace Go To PostIntent matters a lot…Apparently it doesn't:
Tom Haberstroh @tomhaberstroh
From August interview with @StuJackson32, intent is NOT on the table when league discusses suspensions/punishment.
He basically said if it is a basketball play, and that basically means intent... Was Green following through or was he kicking at Adams is what they are looking at..just like was someone going for the ball or just slamming someone...
It doesn't look all that bad from most angles, but the angle from behind Green is brutal.
Then if we win this series and we have to face Delly... Steve might want to freeze some of his sperm.

also love how Kerr defends it by saying Westbrook kicks his legs out. When has YNB ever kicked a dude in the nuts?
By blackace Go To PostHe basically said if it is a basketball play, and that basically means intent… Was Green following through or was he kicking at Adams is what they are looking at..just like was someone going for the ball or just slamming someone…How could that even remotely been considered to be a basketball play? Dude not only threw a kick, but it also happen to hit Adams' groin. Kicking is not a "natural" motion in basketball.
By vic Go To PostHow could that even remotely been considered to be a basketball play? Dude not only threw a kick, but it also happen to hit Adams' groin.Kicking is part of a lot of people's shooting motions.. Especially from the pivot..

He physically retaliated to Adams' fouling him with his right arm. Not saying that the NBA will side with my judgement, that's up to them.

It looked like he completed the shooting motion to me... but stating that kicking out is an unnatural basketball motion is flat out false...
By Rob Go To Posthe lost the ball way before his "shot attempt"Not saying it might not have been on purpose but it looks like way before in slow motion but at normal speed it's quite quick... plus you are suppose to always finish your shooting motion when fouled to sell that you were shooting...
By blackace Go To PostIt looked like he completed the shooting motion to me… but stating that kicking out is an unnatural basketball motion is flat out false…Let me clarify: while shooting, having a foot/leg tilting forward is common. In this case, dude threw a freaking aerobic high kick. That was an exaggerated motion and could have seriously hurt another player.
that wasn't a natural "shooters sell" at all lets be real here
waiting on the league to do the right thing

but basically all the NBA has to do is watch tape of him shooting from the pivot... if he kicks out like a lot it's his motion... if not he was kicking adams on purpose...
By Dark PhaZe Go To Postthat wasn't a natural "shooters sell" at all lets be real hereI don't care enough to do it but all you need to do is look at his shooting motion in general from the pivot...

By Dark PhaZe Go To Postwaiting on the league to do the right thingI wouldn't hold my breath. This was only a fine:
blackace, he didn't even had the ball in his hands anymore when he gathered to throw his kick. This shit's obvious bruh. At least to me it is.
He should get suspended, but he's a key player for the Dubs so yeah.

Ben Golliver @BenGolliverWelp, I guess that's settled.
Draymond Green says comparisons to Dahntay Jones incident don't work because that was a "punch" and "a leg isn't the same as an arm"
Draymond: "Russell (Westbrook) said I did it on purpose but he's a part of the superstar group that started all this acting in the NBA. I didn't. So, I sold the call."
dray fronting like that kid who got in a fight and is sweating the principal is gonna call his parents
By The Frankman Go To PostKicking a leg is absolutely part of selling a call/flop motion. It's been for over 10 years.I believe blackace's boi Ray Allen popularized this move... oh so that why you're backing Draymond!
Harden got a game a for unintentionally kicking LeBron in the James' but Adams isn't LeBron. Dwight picked up a 7th tech last year and would have been gone from game 5 against the dubs but the NBA rescinded it. I'm no Thunder fan but it's gonna really piss me off if Dray continues to get away with this bullshit.
I like the idea of a suspension or Adams gets to return the favor with no repercussion before game 4

I hope dray is suspended. I'm just glad scott foster won't ref another game this series:
The Warriors are 21-5 in the playoffs without Foster and 4-4 with him the past 2 years.
the reffing in the first half of that game was absolute shit, lucky for the league that dray kicked adams in the nuts because there would be way more shit talking about how awful it was. oh well. dray needs to be suspended so we keep the ball in steph's hand 100% of the time. him playing off the ball isnt working

Gonna guess it gets upgraded to a Flagrant 2, which puts Draymond one more flagrant away from suspension.
lol, this fake ad is hilarious: https://www.facebook.com/ringer/videos/1713574922242291/
It plays off the Draymond kick with the ads/trailers for the OJ movie (or is it a made-for-tv series? I don't remember).

By vic Go To PostThe thrown kick wasn't even part of a shooting motion:His other leg not moving is damning. Kicking your legs out during a shooting motion and kicking out one leg 2 feet up has to have a response. Let them get thru this so he can kick another person? That'll be an asterick.

kerr and dray are right about westbrook kicking out his legs though, lol

What Russ does doesn't matter though. Attempting to draw contact for a foul from beyond the 3 point line isn't the same thing as what happened last night.
Also, I like how Dray changed his tune from "part of my natural shooting motion" to "it was a flop" the longer he talked. At the very least he should be fined for a flop then.

the league needs to add a rule about flailing out your legs during jump shots / layups like westbrook and dray have done. it's not part of the game and needs to be removed completely.
There's precedent where Ibaka has done the same thing and wasn't suspended. The NBA doesn't look at precedence play versus play, but rather whether a player has committed acts like this before. It's why Ron Artest and Andrew Bynum get struck down more harshly than first time offenders.
By Method Go To Postthe league needs to add a rule about flailing out your legs during jump shots / layups like westbrook and dray have done. it's not part of the game and needs to be removed completely. They do. It's supposed to be ruled as an offensive foul. It's just never enforced.
there's kicking out the leg for a foul and kicking out the leg to end a family line. Draymond did the latter

makes it pretty obvious there was intent when you can't even stick to one story.

By romrei Go To PostGreen got suspended already? No announcement yet.
By romrei Go To PostGreen got suspended already?Nah and it probably won't happen anyways. I can see the NBA annoucing their verdict right before the Cavs/Raps so that the game will take out some focus off the news.
