I'll take the L I'll hold it.
We did some dumb shit. We just gotta take 4 games.
We know OKC is the type of dude that comes out prematurely. That always ends in a disappointment. Flaccid team ya know?
GSW is in for that long run. It's much more satisfying that way. Much more fun you feel?

So much truth.
I haven't talked much ball the last few days but that game 7 Miami game was some serious anti-small ball shit. Crickets by the "SMALL BALL ALWAYS" folks.

How does that change the argument that "small ball is always better unless you have a dominant center" clearly was wrong there?
I'm not blaming Miami, im talking about the pro "small ball" community not having their best moment at the hands of Biyombo of all people.
By 3SidedPolygons Go To PostSo much truth.has anyone ever said that? Obviously it depends on personnel like any lineup

By Kabro Go To Postdurant 10/30FG while curry, dumbass, and green are 20+ in scoring.GS must be legit shook after that. But damn here's to hoping this goes 7.
yeah, Dubs are legit in trouble.
And now everyone is going to overreact to game 1 all over again. People never learn.
I've seen this so many times, I am shocked people fall for it.
How often do we see the better team lose game 1 at home and then control the series? How often does game 1 not represent the series as a whole (like OKC-Spurs).
Obviously, OKC is in a good spot now but the people declaring GSW done are annoying. Same people who declared OKC done after game 1 last series. Same who always declare a series done after game 1 and end up wrong so often.
As for the game, Kerr CANNOT play Speights. -9 in 5 minutes is wjhere the game turned completely. Now the talk about the "big lineup" will come up but that was only against Speights. Death lineup still outscored OKC.
Donovan did a good job but he needs to find KD some rest in the 2nd half. His fatigue almost blew that game.
Warriors defense hasn't been good in the playoffs. It is good at times but this isn't the Warriors D of the past 2 seasons at all.

Centers are dying and only dominant centers can be a net positive against the modern NBA? Yea people say that all the time.
I mean isn't that Chuck's point? Don't do small ball just to do small ball and play your best bigs instead of trying to match small lineups? And people clown him.
Toronto stuck with their non-skilled center instead of matching up with miami's (forced) small ball lineup and ended up winning because a role player was effective
By Mamba Go To PostAnd now everyone is going to overreact to game 1 all over again. People never learn.Actually I think this is the kick in the ass GS needs since they didn't learn from their Blazers series and I saw the same stupid shit this game.

I'm not gonna say that OKC is gonna win a chip...but it could just be that they've been injured every year in the last 3 and that they really are the best team in the west and would be dominating without those injuries.
We'll see in a couple of weeks

Nearly every title team has SOME kind of adversity. Warriors last year vs Memphis. Spurs went to 7 versus Dallas, both Miami teams were down 3-2 at some point, Dallas down 2-1 to Miami, Lakers vs OKC and Houston in their b2b, Boston's 1st two rounds, etc. Other than the 2001 Lakers, which still went down 1-0 in the Finals, it's really hard finding a title team that either didn't go down in a series or go to a tough game 6/7.
But people fall for it every fucking year!

I think OKC was probably the best team in the West until last season without the injuries. I still think GSW is better and will win the series. The death lineup still outplayed OKC but GSW got destroyed with Speights out there who isn't that playable in this series IMO. They also committed a lot of really bad fouls which I bet they correct next game.
I feel like GSW, until the last few minutes, definitely got better offensive possessions than OKC. Normally, with KD/WB being so off, this would be a blowout. But Warriors started missing a lot of good looks and committing bad fouls.
By P S Y C H Go To Posti don't think anyone(at least in this thread) is falling for anything, just poking fun at GSW.
No, my comment is less towards SLAENT and more towards the media and other people. most people here know better.
By Mamba Go To PostI agree with you. I think this game will be good for them long term. They definitively got a chance to win this series.

That's the biggest thing. OKC playing defense against the best offensive teams despite sucking ass all year at it. Kind of remarkable
No one is happier than Cleveland tonight.
I wonder how much Golden State hurt itself pushing 110% for that regular season record.
