lol. sure. keep believing that.
you realize that the wizards are so dysfunctional you have no idea what a competently run organization from top to bottom actually looks like, right?
The infrastructure will get them 50 wins year in, year out.

Gonna lol if Spurs lose this, LMA runs to SA only to finish in the same round as the team he ditched.

T-Mac would have paid double that just to play in the second round
fuckd around with Curry with the #BreakTheGame update. Neither of these shots would have gone in regardless of the update but it was fun to see them go in regardless. dude I was playing was mad af

Really, what SAS did in the last 17 years shows you that this is what a transcendent player and great infrastructure gets you. Some times you're the best team in the league but you don't win a championship, some times you're not the best team but you do end up with a ring. Some times things break your way, some times they don't. But you're always in the mix right up till the end.
They're what every team should aspire to.
As fun as it's been and as much as I'd like to see Russdagod shit on the haters, OKC doesn't seem to match up well against GS. Thunder have been able to go big because Spurs play big. playing kanter and adams can't work as much as Charles thinks it will.
By pilonv1 Go To PostSomeone ask David West if this was worth $13millionFeel bad for him(as much as you can for a multi-millionaire). Even though he did himself and the team no favors with his play.
Quality guy, probably my favorite Pelicans/Hornets player. Who has been the rare athlete that has legitimately put winning over money. Could of went elsewhere, probably got more money, but chose Indy then gave up a lot of money to join the Spurs.
Real talk though, we lose in 5 or 6 against the Dubs unless we get some breaks.
We can depend on Adams but I don't trust Waiters one bit.

You don't honestly believe that. Kobe presided over the worst three year stretch of the history of the franchise.

No one at San Antonio promised him any thing. Just told him he'll have a shot, and he's gonna enjoy having that shot.
Got no one to blame if you don't play well. And that's that.
Warriors actually take and make threes, and can do it from the two positions Kanter and Adams will have to guard. Much tougher matchup for OKC.
Only the most delusion Kobe fan would believe this. No way Mamba actually thinks this.

Yeah, I'll take scoring 60 with the world watching and an early vacation over this.
If we're talking about just the final game. Career wise, nah.

Just personally would of liked to see a guy I really respect have something to show for what was a pretty admirable career trajectory. Just like how people are saying they wish Timmy could of ended on a better note.
West probably still has time though. But this was probably his best shot.
By unknown Go To Postspurs will come back to win, lol at people here already calling game.
By Mamba Go To Postyou guys are too easy. It's Tim Duncan and Pop owes his career to him? Though you aren't wrong with it likely being too late.
Finally Kawhi at the 4! What took so long!?!? It's probably too late though.

I don't feel sad for Timmy at all. He gave everything he had to give and here at the end, he finally has nothing left to give. Just feel so privileged to have watched him for basically my entire life as a basketball fan.

Spurs need to play more Kawhi-LMA frontcourts next year, need LMA to shoot more threes, and they need to create more threes.
It would be incredible five years ago to argue that the iso-heavy, midrange jumper heavy team that focused on defense and superstars was going to fall apart in the playoffs because of the lack of threes and too many traditional bigs, but that's what I'll argue!
I didn't see this coming though.

I Do. He's been done all year. He's one of the 10 best to have ever played. He doesn't need to play at 20% his former self.
By knux-future Go To PostIs the window finally closedIn what sense? Can't imagine arguably the best run organization in the last decade+ will be down for too long.

I don't think this was the key issue tho. It's just their role players crapped the bed. Patty Mills, Kyle Anderson, Boris Diaw, David West. All of them played like dog shit.
But point taken. They were never going to beat GSW playing this style anyway, so it's whatever.

He had a really good defensive year... There's no point to the Spurs having him in the playoffs because of LMA and how the NBA is now, but he was pretty good this year I thought.

Spurs defense has been significantly better with Duncan on the floor against this OKC team. He's also been very good facilitating around the elbow swinging passes around.

Cold. But true.
I said it all year despite regular season record this is the weakest bench that spurs had since got beat by memphis at first round of course they going nowhere at playoff
