Late to music chat but whatever. I spent the weekend at a rock festival and found two new-to-me bands: Monster Truck and Came as Romans. Monster Truck is kinda generic hard rock done very well. Came as Romans got the crowd fucking lit. Their front men were fire.
Filter's singer sucked. He was completely unable to sing remotely close to on key with low monitor levels. And was a dick to the sound guy about it during the show.
Candlebox's singer had a similar monitor problem but had no problem singing correctly. He was also nicer to the sound guy when trying to get it fixed.
On the way home from band practice tonight (classical music), I listened to another band I discovered at this same festival two years ago, We as Human. They put on a good enough show for me to buy their CD then and there.
Sad I missed the game tonight. Sounds like some entertaining slopball.
