By rvy Go To PostWhy is Philly seemingly taking Ben number 1? People really think this dude is the next LeBron?dunno, but i wager Brett Brown used to coach down under, so maybe its that Auzy connection.
he's really infatuated with Ben Simmons.

Bucks leak tax info of players, employees as result of email scam
MILWAUKEE – The Milwaukee Bucks say their organization inadvertently provided tax information of employees, including players, to someone who was impersonating the team's president over email.
The Bucks said Thursday that the "security incident" involving the W-2 forms of all 2015 employees was reported to the IRS and FBI after being discovered earlier this week. The team says it arranged for employees to have access to credit monitoring and identity restoration services.
The tax information was provided by a Bucks worker before it was determined that the request came from a "spoofed email address" for team president Peter Feigin. The Bucks say the mistake was the result of human error, and that they were providing additional privacy training to staff and implementing additional preventative measures.
Ben Simmons is so interesting because you can have your PF run point... And the kid has decent post game and really knows how to use his body around the cup. His Jumper is flat but not broken...
On the break he can be LBJ and in half court he has a Webber skillset.
If he is there mentally he going be good too

I aint down on simmons either. I think he's gonna turn into a monster stud.
lots of great players came out of college with no shooting (namely Blake Griffin)

Blake Griffin is not a monster stud though. Average offensive game at best. Easy to have high FG% and PPG when its all dunks.
Not like he's coming out with Justise Winslow offense, but he'll need to step it up. Wouldn't work on 3's if I were him till his second season.

I like Ingram more than Simmons. But that's because Simmons has been shying away from competition and exposure a ton. Like he has a lot of shit to hide.
But .. either seems like a good pick.

By P S Y C H Go To PostBlake has been dunking less and less every year, he has a good jumper and despite how ugly it is, he has a post game. Good passer too.Pretty much. His mid-range is a step down from Aldridge, but is still well above average now. His handles and passing are amazing for his position. He is definitely a monster on offense.
Honestly, you can never really say Chris Paul is the wrong guy to ever be matched with, but in a salary cap era--you're wasting talent pairing Blake with a pass first point guard. Blake should be running point forward putting up video game numbers with good finishers and defenders around him.
Simmons can be the same--a little less power a little more quickness which is actually ideal.

Disagree. He's already shown he can, when CO3 was injured and during that Rockets series. He was bringing the ball down the court and running the whole offense. It was crazy.

Not saying the kid can't pass or doesn't have a high BB IQ... I just think good teams would press him
I like Simmons, his lack of jumper is concerning but he's stupid quick for his size, can handle, uses his body around the rim, can absorb contact and pass. He looks like a less talented young LBJ with heightened weaknesses including an aversion to taking charge on offense.
Ingram is skinny af, lacks elite athleticism and polish in the post/mid range.
Think both at least will be good starters. Simmons strikes me as someone who could be a top 10 talent at his peak whereas Ingram's ceiling isn't quite that high.
Exciting times for LoserBros™

wouldn't worry about Ingram being skinny too much
Texas couldn't even find a uni small enough for KD
How tall is he? Because I tend to think you got to be tall for your position to compensate for being skinny for your position.

I'm with you here. Incredible passing skills, but doesn't have the handles of Pippen/Lebron or even Odom.
Which is a reason why Blake would thrive in the triangle but shrugs - folks ain't tryna hear that

That is a great wingspan..... He might struggle early against stronger guys but by season 2-3 he should be beasting. Especially defensively if he has lateral speed.

Being a full-time ball handler isn't easy...
By blackace Go To Posthonestly Blake would be perfect for the triangle…Not sure blakes post game is THAT strong. But with more reps and emphasis he would get better.

Ingram is a solid athlete but has to gather for take offs and may struggle to get by people because of his slower first step.
That is why the KD comp is super weird to me.

I saw on Reddit that apparently SAS ranted against the Knicks again over the hire of Hornacek, I wonder if he enjoys being the stereotypical angry black guy.
Blake's ball handling and passing are good. I just think the other side's defense would rather Blake try to outsmart them from the top of the key than fly down the lane for lobs.

Literally said that Phil is "arrogant" for hiring Jeff Hornacek. Also said that Fisher was hired to lure Durant here so who's Hornacek gonna attract.
Phil literally NEVER said that he hired Fisher for that reason, like at all.
His rants are becoming more patently absurd as time goes on
SAS had one good point though. If Phil is gonna let Hornacek run what he wants then why didn't he interview Thibs or JVG? But then he started talking about how Mark Jackson is a more accomplished coach then Hornacek and he lost me.
Any Nix fan upset about the Hornacek hire is silly.
It's like narrowly avoiding being in a car wreck and then complain when you get home about not having your favorite food for dinner. You didn't get Rambis as HC for next season, everyday is a gift now.

They have a ton of experience in the NBA and could have been enough to know they weren't the coach he wanted.
He made everyone in NY hold an L with Porzingis, so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt that he knows what he's doing.

There's only two people I've seen complain about the hire. SAS who gets paid to be an angry black man so who knows if he's actually mad or needed to earn that paycheck, and then some clown Raziel on reddit who tried to convince everyone that Hornacek got lucky in his first season and that the last two are who he really is.
Comparing Ingram to KD is really unfair IMO. KD is a generational talent and was well on his way to becoming one of the 20 best players to ever play basketball the moment he took the court at Texas. Ingram, while having the same body as KD but less athletic to begin with, is nowhere near the shooter/playmaker that KD is and most likely never will be. Ingram will be a very good to even elite wing. His ceiling is a less athletic Paul George. He'll mostly settle at around a much better Caron Butler/Richard Jefferson type. And that's very good for the #2 pick in a thin draft.

Like, there's a chance that that's true but the thing is it doesn't matter. The issue was "Phil only hires triangle guys he doesn't care about doing a real process"
Just like it was "Phil's only here for 5 years so he's gonna make a bunch of horrible long term decisions and give out shitty contracts to field a good team fast"
At this point, anyone other than Rosen who claims to know what the fuck Phil will do, who he wants to hire or sign or trade for needs to shut up and sit down. Every preconceived assumption is being proven wrong here
