It appears that Phil Jackson has decided on Jeff Hornacek but as of now the two sides do not have a contract in place.
By 33MillionDollarMen Go To PostThis conversation right now is fucking stupidThat's great
By Dipro Go To Postsurely it isn't but he asked what he hasn't done that Blatt did, Blatt was also a successful coach in europe. Both coaches had players lay down on them but I feel the year the Suns really pushed for that 8th seed the players really bought into Horny's system and played for him... I mean the twins were playing hard for him
Horn is fine but i still think Blatt is the better coach.
By masud Go To PostNo Rambis!
By HasphatsAnts Go To PostSo like, is Patrick Ewing the worst interview in history?we will throw it in the post.....................
i thought hornacek was doing a fine job in Phoenix, up until those fuckboi twins decided to wreck the team.
I pegged him as an escape goat than a bad coach

His GM also submarined the roster with 3 starting PGs.
I think Hornacek is a fine coach, but what he did his second season in Phoenix doesn't inspire a lot of confidence in terms of his flexibility and man management skills.
All this Knicks talk... Can we talk about a franchise headed in the right direction for once? Like the Sixers?
By pilonv1 Go To PostI could make a vector version of that easily if a Knick bro wants to wear it. Or anyone else for that matter.
I'm loving these

True, they really can't get any worse so the only way is up
gotta wait out that big Melo contract before you can compete again, Laker bros know what that feels like.

beautiful
The Knicks are reportedly hiring Jeff Hornacek as their new head coach. So is Rambis gone or does he stay on? I'm guessing he'll go back to being an assistant.
Hornacek was in the running for multiple vacant coaching jobs but he'll make his new home in New York, beating out fellow candidates Kurt Rambis, Frank Vogel and David Blatt. Hornacek compiled a 101-112 record in nearly three seasons as the Suns' head coach. He takes over a team that missed the playoffs this year but should benefit from continuity, as four of their five starters have guaranteed contracts. There's no word yet about Hornacek's assistant coaches, but it's likely that his staff will run Phil Jackson's preferred triangle offense.

Horny and Rambis played together in Phoenix, that may have had something to do with the hire. Rambis is the new Herb Williams he ain't going anywhere.
By Kuma Go To Postall these draft options…8 picks.
#3, #16, #23
y'all are definitely gonna be shopping in the next few weeks
Ken Berger:
There is "mutual interest" between the Knicks and Jeff Hornacek, league source says. "Heading in that direction."
Contract negotiations between the Knicks and Hornacek have not yet begun, source says.
LOL THIS ISNT A DONE DEAL

By HasphatsAnts Go To PostSo like, is Patrick Ewing the worst interview in history? It would probably help if he actually paid attention to games instead of looking at cheerleaders.
By Dark PhaZe Go To Postmeh, uninspiring choice for phil if soI think it's a pretty decent choice for Phil.
He is married to the triangle and that's not changing... But he went outside his bubble and hired from maybe the only coaching tree during his era he really respected in Sloan's
Unexpected choice in HC but it doesn't mean it's the worse (Rambis) or even bad. We don't know if Hornacek is tied to what he did in Phoenix. He inherited that roster and the GM made the situation worse. If anything he deserved so much praise for taking those guys to 48 wins in a very strong West.
By HasphatsAnts Go To PostSo like, is Patrick Ewing the worst interview in history?Maybe this is a Brian Shaw situation. Dude interviewed for every job forever and then when he finally got the Denver gig, we all realized why it took him a million years.
By unknown Go To PostNeed giris opinion on hornacek.Horny's a good coach who got undermined and scape goated.

By Kabro Go To Posti thought hornacek was doing a fine job in Phoenix, up until those fuckboi twins decided to wreck the team.Essentially. The twins tanked their own trade prospects to try and fuck over the org.

Kieff was super mad that the Suns traded his brother (in an attempt to free space for LMA..)
Suns were unimpressed that the Morris Twins refused to grow up and mature on the court, constantly getting Technicals and stupid fouls.
Hornacek had to implement a policy if, if you get a T, you sit the rest of the game, to even get their attention on the issue.
The end of his reign was a shit fest. Really bad combination of a few unlucky things.
By Zeus Ex Machina Go To PostJVG is saying he heard Hornacek won't be required to run the triangle…….Oh word? Best news of the day if true.
So now Idk how to feel.
By Zeus Ex Machina Go To PostJVG is saying he heard Hornacek won't be required to run the triangle…….Means Phil is going back to LA but he was nice enough to not screw over the Knicks

or that JVG has no idea what he's talking about
By etiolation Go To PostYeah, I think Hornacek is a good coach. Curious to see what he runs in NY.
Ditto I think too many people are assuming he's just what they saw with the Suns. He inherited that roster. There is no reason to think he won't adapt again. Plus hopefully Phil can just fix the gaps in the Roster. A SG and bench depth.
By DY_nasty Go To PostHorny is a good coach.I'd imagine that is Phil's top priority in the off season. It has to be.
But he has no fucking guards to work with holy fuck
Hornacek isn't pining to run 3 PG offenses. That was a clusterfuck of a roster and he was a rookie coach with a blank canvas on which to create a style so he adapted to his roster.
I still think Vogel should have been the guy but I was pretty confident that he wouldn't re-up with Rambis and I'm glad I was right.
If during the press conference there's insistence on movin away from the triangle that will be a signal for me that Phil's looking to leave NY for Jeanie or LA sooner rather than later

By 3SidedPolygons Go To PostHornacek isn't pining to run 3 PG offenses. That was a clusterfuck of a roster and he was a rookie coach with a blank canvas on which to create a style so he adapted to his roster.I don't think forcing Hornacek to run a system he's unfamiliar with rather than his own stuff would be smart. If that's the plan then Phil should have stuck with Rambis. If Phil let's Hornacek do his own thing that doesn't mean he's bolting to LA just that he isn't as committed to the triangle as some made it seem.

Also word is that the Hornacek deal is not close to being done and that talks are still progressing...
