By friskykillface Go To PostAinge gonna trade that pick for Cousins
lol
Kings probably should trade their pick though. Murray/Heild will be gone.
Ingram and Simmons go first and second in some order. The Suns and Celtics don't need a wing.
Jamal Murray fifth. I've put it all together.

By Kabro Go To PostKnux, talk to me. who do you think are y'all picking?
Simmons or Ingram; doesn't matter to me. If the whole Simmons forcing his way to LA thing is true...then Ingram makes the most sense. But otherwise i imagine Bryan goes w/ the status quo and takes Simmons. Ingram is an easier fit and doesn't require much movement IMO. But we won 10 games last year. Embiid can't be trusted. Saric may just be 6th man good. So who care
I am glad we get to make the choice too..no excuses
By pilonv1 Go To PostThat's probably the best thing for both teams
Yea I wouldn't mind that...We get a nice young big and Philly gets their point guard.
God help the GM that drafts Dragan Bender.
As for the Sixers. Ingram is the much better fit and probably the better prospect to boot.

Grats Knux, Hinkle had to die to finally see the process be rewarded (this shit is so damn fixed)
Its a shitty draft after 3 so my great fear was the pick going up
Also looking at the draft order I think the knicks can definitely buy there way into the end of the first round. Hell O'quinn and some future seconds might get them something at 22 from Boston. A lot of teams have too many picks in just one draft. I got faith in the knicks ability to get something decent to put through their D league system.
It's finally over, the Melo deal is paid up and we have all of our 1st round picks from here on out. Phil doesn't trade those.
By masud Go To PostGiving up the 9th pick doesn't hurt that much.
I have no more feels to give…

In non-draft news from Stein:
Mike D'Antoni has landed a second interview with the Houston Rockets for their coaching vacancy, according to league coaching sources.Oh yeahhhhh
By Kabro Go To Post'antoni and Haren.
gonna be a trainwreck
Gonna be entertaining as hell tho.
Welp, mine as well throw out my prediction:
PHI: Ingram
LAL: Simmons(after trying to pull a Kobe and Philly flinching)
BOS: Bender
PHO: Jaylen Brown?
MIN: Dunn
NOP: Rudy Gay(or some other Dell Demps draft fuckery)

Agreed and I say that as a D'antoni hater. Harden would be perfect for his offense. They should go hard for Anderson and offer him something crazy.

Yeah, Harden's in.
Dunn at 5 makes zero sense.
Thibs has already said that the team needs shooting. If they keep the pick, it'll be Murray or Hield.

Suns need help up front.
I believe in TJ Warren, but ... his injury came at a bad time, just as all the young guys were being given tons of minutes. Didn't allow him to establish him self.
So anyone who can play the 3 or the 4 would be great.
But lets be real, somebody good to go with booker, at any position.

By rodeoclown Go To PostDunn at 5 makes zero sense.Murray I can see because his trajectory seems all over the board from OJ Mayo, CJ McCollum to Chauncy Billups. The latter I could see a definite need for you guys, Hield though? How does he fit in? He is a pure shooting guard and you have one of those in Lavine.
Thibs has already said that the team needs shooting. If they keep the pick, it'll be Murray or Hield.
6th man? I guess, but Dunn is an improved jumper away from being a superstar level talent and the perfect Thibs PG. Hield seems like roster redundancy. I hope you all don't though because Thibs with that type of defensive potential in the front and back court is not fair.
Though I would be fine if Dunn fell to us at 6.
The Magic met with Frank Vogel on Monday, league sources tell @TheVertical. He's a strong candidate for Orlando's head coaching job.
Zeus..
By giririsss Go To PostSuns need help up front.Need a PF really bad but everything about Bender is screaming out bust. Better not try and sign Barnes for an overpaid contract. I have no idea what is going to happen this off season. Outside of Booker everyone is fair game at this point. As long as Knight goes i'm happy.

Is Brown the best defensive wing in this draft?
Bender is that guy that I think will probably be pretty good most likely... but I don't want my team to draft him.
By Jonm Go To PostBender is that guy that I think will probably be pretty good most likely… but I don't want my team to draft him.Yeah super high risk/reward situation.
If he busts "tried to be cute/follow the knicks and get KP 2.0" if he succeeds "obvious pick after the KP success".
Bender looks good. But not having a really solid outside shot yet (though improving), with his really slight frame is a little worrying. Though he looks good in the post. And is a decent passer.
I'm not going to be mad if the Suns draft him. ... Just think he's super risky.
If the Celtics keep their pick (doubt it), Bender makes sense for them. They need a big that can defend the paint. And while I don't know if he is a stopper right now...he has better tools to be one unlike Olynk, Zeller, and Fat Boy

By Omzz Go To PostZeus..you telling me that Orlando Sentinel beat writer was right!?
Dragan Bender is not ready for the NBA. Not by a long shot. Kristaps at Sevilla had absolutely dominant stretches from time to time at a very good club in a tougher league. The two aren't comparable at the moment. And expecting him to be KP is setting him up to fail.

By Red Blaster Go To Postblatt is phil's dude, it's prob down to vogel and adrian griffin for orl
By Omzz Go To PostZeus..
I'm ok with Blatt.... I prefer Vogel, just because 1) Melo said he wanted Blatt and he is based on history a horrible, FO decision maker, even by proxy. 2) Vogel has experience with the Triangle as his offense, defense. is a local guy, and has done much with very little.
I am going to assume Herring was right when he said the knicks understood other teams want to hire these guys and they will make a decision soon. Blatt interviewed for a bunch of teams and is still waiting.
Between finally having all their future picks, good cap management, living in NY, Melo, KP, and Dolan's money.
The knicks job is in the grand scheme of things is better than Memphis and Orlando. I think all the guys interviewed are going to wait a bit to see who Phil hires before they go to those other teams. Especially if what Herring said about second interviews is true.
