Legendary french journeyman Jerome Moiso, who played for 6 teams in 6 years. On the Raptors he talked about how he'd hired a personal chef over the summer to get fit. That chef must have been working hard as fuck because he came back looking like the Michelin Man.

There's a name I never expected to hear again, jesus
By blackace Go To PostI wonder what Felton's offseason looks likeEveryone's has to be better than old man Andre Miller who doesn't touch a basketball and just eats a billion cheeseburgers.
And yet, he's never injured and always ready to play. It confuses me.
Training camp is great and I'm really excited for it. I'm sure all the dumb offseason stories are just waiting to be published.
Wiggins spent all summer with a shooting coach. LaVine added 10 lbs of muscle and worked on his handle.

front like you ever had a dot of respek for Zak
By Dark PhaZe Go To Postfront like you ever had a dot of respek for ZakOh, I hated him as a rookie and I don't deny that. He did have one of the worst rookie years ever, he was awful.
But when Mitchell finally moved him to shooting guard last year, he played really well and I definitely talked about it. He can really shoot the hell out of the ball. I wonder if Thibs won't use him like Kyle Korver and run him off a million screens so he can get space for his sweet jumper.
Making him an off-ball extraordinaire seems to be the best thing for him right now. He can slash and shoot. Not a good dribbler and poor vision means you don't want him handle the ball for any significant amount of time.
I'm sure you already know that.

The last half of last year was really LaVine's destiny. He fits next to Ricky so well, helping to spread the floor, giving them the option to run plays where he cuts to the basket. This is especially important since Wiggins can't shoot, though he still commands the attention since he can get to the basket whenever he wants. But Zach cannot replace Rubio in the lineup. He's just not a point guard. Ricky can also make up for his defensive shortcomings. (Some, he's not a miracle worker.) It's a nice pairing.
I give Rubio until the all-star break
Dunn aint the one, he coming for that starting spot come hell or high water
Dunn aint the one, he coming for that starting spot come hell or high water
By Dark PhaZe Go To PostI give Rubio until the all-star breakI cannot understate how insane I think this idea is. Rubio quarterbacks an offense about as well as anybody, he takes care of the ball (4th best A/TO in the league), he's a great defensive player.
Dunn aint the one, he coming for that starting spot come hell or high water
But somehow Dunn, who turns the ball over a lot, makes bad decisions, calls his own number frequently and also cannot shoot is supplanting Rubio. The craziest part is where people think Dunn has more defensive potential. Based on what? He's literally the same size as Ricky (6'4" with a long winspan), except Rubio has been playing great defense against real life NBA players and not bad Big East competition for years already.
People that think this is some forgone conclusion and Dunn is better and starting are straight up lunatics. Or they don't actually watch Rubio.

By rodeoclown Go To PostOh, I hated him as a rookie and I don't deny that. He did have one of the worst rookie years ever, he was awful.Sounds like a more athletic version of Wesley Matthews potentially. Which is a good thing.

NBA.com has Taurean Prince and Kendall Marshal in the "Who's gone" section for the Jazz. Like do they really not do any research at all or something?

By diehard Go To Postdumbshit version of Wesley Matthews maybeI wonder how much of that is because his mid-range shots tend to be off the dribble where his 3s are mostly catch and shoot? He's a much weaker shooter trying to create for himself. Is there a site to check this?
statistically his mid-range is weak also.
But you're not wrong. He doesn't defend like Wes, either. He can be a useful player, though, with his shooting.

Detroit feels high. Bucks feel high. Jazz with the 7th best?
Spurs feel high, anbut we've been saying that for nearly a decade now. Clippers feel like they might implode at any moment. Grizzlies being 1.5 games better than last year would be mind-blowing.

They're going to play their kids a ton and be awful on purpose.

The grizz could be because their healthiest player last year was matt barnes i believe. So.......
And yeah, we've been saying that about the clippers for 2 years too. They still manage to get up around 50 W's though. (11-12 40W, 12-13 56W, 13-14 57W, 14-15 56W, 15-16 53W). Plus they'll get to play the Suns, Kings, and Lakers a lot.
Marc's injury was serious. Especially for a player his size at his age. The injuries is the argument why I think 42.5 is too high.
It's odd though that for a team that keeps averaging such high regular season win totals, I don't think i've ever thought of the Clippers as a legitimate title team.
By reilo Go To PostMarc's injury was serious. Especially for a player his size at his age. The injuries is the argument why I think 42.5 is too high.Bigger guys don't usually recover all that well from his injury, either.
Zbo, Tony Allen, those guys have been declining for a couple years now. Can Chandler Parsons go anymore? Their bench is a lot of D-League level dudes and ancient Vince Carter, so what will they get from that? I think there's a lot of questions there, too.
By reilo Go To PostMarc's injury was serious. Especially for a player his size at his age. The injuries is the argument why I think 42.5 is too high.Seems he was off the foot for ~ 3 - 4 months and came back pretty slowly in half court stuff.
It was serious, but they also had a raft of injuries to everyone else too.
The latest Simmons interview with Brad Stevens was really terrible.
Stevens said nothing but media platitudes and provided little to no insight into anything. And Bill let him get away with not answering the question.

That's not surprising. Simmons had Bosh's first interview post blood clots and after all the infighting about clearing him to play or not, Simmons didn't ask him a single question about his health.
lesson : Bill Simmons is trash.

I thought they'd be about 4th and lose their pick, I hate internally hoping for Ls but looks like what i'm doing this season.
If the Lakers can't be decent with all their lottery picks, losing next years won't make a difference.

KD won 23 games his sophomore year with rookie Westbrook. They selected Harden the following year.
