By P-SY Go To PostOk? But they're all better. Also, TJ and Jrich can both shoot and defend. Waiters can't do either. He'll certainly be awful in the locker room once he isn't getting his promised 25mpg.
Spo isnt playing him over those too.
The only thing im worried about is that he'll be awful in the locker rooom.
By Forever Go To PostWayne Ellington is not better lmao he's fuckin garbageHe has been mostly an above average shooter, which is more than anything that could be said about Waiters. He was terrible for Nets(who wasn't?)
By blackace Go To PostJ-rich won't be a 35 min player next year, I don't think..Post all star break he was at 29MPG........ He'll be at minimum 30MPG this season.
By P-SY Go To PostPost all star break he was at 29MPG…….. He'll be at minimum 30MPG this season. They were finding ways to play him 30 mins and JW Deng Wade and JJ 30 mins.. So someone will need those mins
By blackace Go To PostThey were finding ways to play him 30 mins and JW Deng Wade and JJ 30 mins.. So someone will need those minsJrich was the backup point because we waived Urih and TJ was injured most of the year.
Goran/TJ/Weber
Jrich/Ellington/Waiters
Winslow/J.Johnson/Babbit
???/WIlliams/McRoberts/Haslem
Whiteside/Reed/Haslem
With Spo's history, I'd be surprised to see Waiters play more than 20mpg.
I didn't know Not sure if was posted or not but the Pelicans signed Terrence Jones@ 1yr/1.5M. Not bad if he gets healthy.

Oklahoma is indeed one of 30 states in which Kevin Durant's Warriors jersey is the best selling NBA jersey this month at Fanatics.
Bandwagoners
By pilonv1 Go To PostBandwagonersFirst time I see someone wearing a Durant GS jersey in OKC, I can't promise I won't black out and wake up in jail.
OKC has to trade YNB. Losing KD and YNB back to back off seasons for nada....damn.
Of course I'd like to see YNB in FA

Those close to Westbrook say he's both angry and hurt not only by Durant's decision to leave but also because Durant didn't even call to tell him personally.

Waiters signed for SIX MILLION?
How is that even possible, when Barnes got maxed? Murder your agent fam.

Matt Moore of Hardwood Paroxysm is discussing the Melo meeting with youths and police officers in LA. During that, he talks about how his view of players changes as he learns more about how they grew up. For example:

Hardwood Paroxysm @HPbasketballThat's kind of sad for Lillard. :(
Had same reaction when Dame told me he had to learn how to be a teammate because he grew up without being able to trust anyone.

Interview with Pels media and Solomon Hill today.
I don't know whether to be happy or disheartened about this: https://twitter.com/ScottDKushner/status/757965233679835140

Scott Kushner @ScottDKushnerHe did say that he will be working in the post this season. He also views Davis similar to George on defense in that Hill can switch on/off ball-handlers in similar ways with either of them.
Hill says he "got caught up" in just being a 3-point shooter early in career and didn't try to expand his game enough. #Pelicans
By unknown Go To PostI though KD said he called him? Lied?
he's vague as fuck about it..it was always a strange quote:
“I just told him. I just let him know how I felt. And obviously, our relationship probably won’t ever be the same again, but it’s something I wanted to do and I expressed that to him. Hopefully, he respected it.”
Sounds like a text or some shit. Some kind of statement and not an actual conversation.
“I know as I was growing as a coach, I understood the wear and tear on the bodies were important to really manage,” Brooks said on the latest episode of The Vertical Podcast with Chris Mannix. “We had such a young, dynamic team that our practices were so much fun and intense and very competitive. But as I grew as a coach, I understood that we have to be really efficient in what we do and figure out what’s really important and cut our practices down. The analytics tell you that. The thing I didn’t focus on was minutes per game; I focused on minutes per practice. If you could play a guy 36 minutes and cutting it down a minute but still practicing him for two-and-a-half hours and still having an hour-and-20-minute shoot-arounds, that minute is really nothing. I focused not on really cutting the minutes down; I focused on cutting the practice and shoot-arounds down. I learned that in seeing some of the training camps I was fortunate enough to [attend]. Coach [Popovich] let me come for three or four days, and I saw how he did it. There’s a lot of similarities with our practice plans and how we did things, but I really pinpointed that. His was really efficient. They weren’t long, they were to the point, they were very competitive and they moved on quickly.”

Good tidbit from Brooks on minute management. I forget how much hinges in the intensity and lengths of practices sometimes.
i want to hate but the wiz should be a damned good team this year

Yep. Plus Markieff got a whole offseason to get his act together. Otto/Kelly improving give Wizards a nice small lineup.
I hope my Cs sign Larry sanders.

wow amare retires, did not expect that. I wanted him to play for two or so more years in Phoenix before he did.
RFA Moe Harkless has agreed to a four-year, $40M-plus deal to re-sign with the Portland Trail Blazers, league sources tell The Vertical.
By Dark PhaZe Go To PostWhy not Phoenix?Apparently, he isn't on good terms with that organization.
By reilo Go To PostRFA Moe Harkless has agreed to a four-year, $40M-plus deal to re-sign with the Portland Trail Blazers, league sources tell The Vertical.wtf, are the Blazers going to be the highest paid team in the league?
I guess, second to the Warriors.
RT @BobbyMarks42 Trail Blazers projected cap breakdown (with Mo Harkless). Portland still under the tax with 14 guaranteed contracts. http://yhoo.it/292LHti
RT @Chold Other have pointed this out, but worth mentioning this again: that tax bill wouldn't come due until June 2018.

By reilo Go To PostI guess, second to the Warriors. They will be just barely barely under the tax if they let go of Ezeli and Vonleh and don't resign Plumlee or anyone that will be a FA. I don't see how they don't trade either Turner or Crabbe after this year.

By Forever Go To PostWho would trade for Evan Turner on that contract?Who indeed.
By Kibner Go To PostApparently, he isn't on good terms with that organization.
I dunno. Unless he and Sarver got into it elsewhere they parted on "ok" terms. People could understand his decision.
But more importantly, Why would the Suns bring him back? They have 2 young guys that they need to give minutes too.
Yeah, there's nostalgia there, but that's it. There's no other real point to it.

By Kibner Go To Post*shrug* It was something a Suns fan on another board said. More here dispute that claim.Yeah, I dunno where they would get that idea.
I mean, even most Suns fans could understand his move and why. (And as it turned out, it was very smart of him too).
It's weird that we had this era of great PF's. Dirk, Amare, Bosh, TD, Milsap, KG, Pau. Guys who were (when healthy) legitimately great players generally on v.good teams and they were a key part of it.
But we haven't really seen the next generation of them. There's Blake... who has under delivered (for what ever reason ). Then Anthony Davis…. who can't stay healthy to really show what he's got.
There was the period of the "Big SF" who played the 4. LBJ, Melo, Deng, KD is doing it now…
It's a weirdly undermanned position at the moment.

Not really surprised Rockets interested in Rudy Gay if the rumor are true.. Ariza off bench playing less mins could help with his shooting
Trading for Rudy Gay in 2016? Bwaha
