By Dark PhaZe Go To PostWow bosh still not cleared?Bosh wanted to play in the playoffs
Riley wants him off the books/doesn't want him to drop dead in a Miami Heat uniform.
Side note: Spo was on the court when Hank Gathers dropped dead on the court from blod clots.

I just thought there'd be a medical certainty about his ability to play one way or another by now
You don't play on blood thinners, period.
Question for Bosh now is does he need to be on blood thinners given his recurrent DVTs. That, the evidence is equivocal.

Bosh has made his money and won championships. I know it must suck to not go out on your own terms because of medical reasons, but dude, why risk it? Enjoy your millions and your family.
He needs to fire his agent..w/ all the money being thrown around to scrubs. I'd be feeling some kinda way right now
The Portland Trail Blazers and guard C.J. McCollum have reached an agreement on a four-year extension worth $106 million,
Heh.
The Thunder not retaining him for that much is kinda fucked. He played great in the playoffs when it mattered most.
outpaid like a motherfucker by tyler johnson good god
like this nigga wasn't just on the stage giving three balls to the warriors
i dont like dion but damn

By Dark PhaZe Go To PostThe Thunder not retaining him for that much is kinda fucked. He played great in the playoffs when it mattered most.I'm willing to bet that his attitude played a part in KD's departure. All the articles said he was swayed by GSW's team chemistry and how much fun they had.
I remember when Gondo was arguing that Waiters was a better acquisition than Brook Lopez.
Special agent Dion Waiters was sent to infiltrate the Thunder and scuttle them from within.
EH i doubt this was the highest offer on the table for dion. This just fills other needs of his (ego).
By giririsss Go To PostEH i doubt this was the highest offer on the table for dion. This just fills other needs of his (ego). What, coming off the bench behind Tyler Johnson? Competing with Wayne fucking Ellington for playing time?
By Dark PhaZe Go To PostThe Thunder not retaining him for that much is kinda fucked. He played great in the playoffs when it mattered most.I'd rather take a flyer on Abrines for $6M per than waste another year watching Dion's dumb basketball. And here's a dirty secret: he didn't actually play well in the playoffs. Shot ok from 3, but had a sub-10 PER and a negative BPM. He sucks even when surrounded by great teammates when his role is limited and his mindset is right.
I like the dude and he was a good team guy in OKC. But man are the Heat gonna suck next year if he gets any kind of minutes or shooting volume. He's one of the worst rotation players in the league.
psy
PSY
what did I tell you about that karma
although the Waiters hype vids will be arguably less annoying than the Dion status reports/turned my life around package.

Riley doesn't tank though, never has been about that life. He just uber-motivates players to play way over their heads... the Bosh incident and Wade fiasco is a special case.
By P-SY Go To PostSpo ain't playing his ass15 roster spots tho.
Waiters has trouble doing basic things like finishing layups and keeping a consistent release on his jump shot.
If he gets lots of opportunities in Miami, it'll be much like it was in OKC. A nice efficient game ever 4 or 5 games, with the rest far below average.
Also: I can't imagine that he would have signed in Miami for that amount without a promise of playing time.

I'm out of it, so Miami basically kicks Wade to the curb only to sign Waiters some weeks later?
What...

Of course he was. Others didn't have to listen. But he had bigger offers and chose to play for tiny money. You don't give up more money for nothing. He was obviously seeking playing time.

Riley fucked this one up. First time I remember thinking he's really fucked up a Free Agent season.
So Westbrook wants to play the season out but isn't sure about the future.
That's a dangerous game for okc to play

By Forever Go To Postbut blackaceIt didn't happen. But he did sign a 1 yr joint to get PT and perhaps fool another GM next year.
4 years 40 million you said
papangu
I mean with Allen Crabbe making 18 per it's bound to happen..
By P-SY Go To PostI'd be surprised if Dion gets more than 15-20 MPG.
I mean the choices are Ellington, Tyler Johnson or Josh Richardson at SG.. That's not good.
By blackace Go To PostI mean the choices are Ellington, Tyler Johnson or Josh Richardson at SG.. That's not good.Ok? But they're all better. Also, TJ and Jrich can both shoot and defend. Waiters can't do either.
Spo isnt playing him over those too.
The only thing im worried about is that he'll be awful in the locker rooom.
